Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creation Blog Hop Week 4 - Berry Burst

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range. Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order. This week “Berry Burst ” is up.

I have made 1 card for you this week showing off the gorgeous colour of Berry Burst. It is one of the 2017-2019 In Colours and I really love this shade of pink. I have decided to highlight the colour by using the stamp set Varied Vases. I hadn’t inked up this stamp set yet and I thought I would get it out and it is just so delightful. It can be bundled with the Vases Builder Punch for a 10% discount which is fantastic!
Varied Vases, Berry Burst

Today I just wanted to play around with my Stamparatus and also do a little bit of masking to get a simple and sweet, detailed birthday card for one of our support workers that has a birthday today. If you don’t have a Stamparatus yet, you have got get one, this stamping tool is to die for! It is so easy to use, and you can position your stamps just where you need them and you can restamp over the same spot if you want the image to be darker or you need just a bit more ink. It is just so good. If you have shaky hands and you stamp with a little bit of a blur this is the tool for you no more blurry stamping with this tool. OMG you need this tool. I LOVE IT! I could go on but let’s talk about the card.
Varied Vases, Berry Burst

I first stamped the little shelf that the vases are standing on then positioned the 3 solid Berry Burst Vases and inked them up. I punched out the vases in some thin copy paper and placed over the solid vases so that I could then stamp the clear vases so that the edges didn’t overlap the already stamped images. Easy the Vases now look like they are behind the vases in front.
These clear vases I have used my Aqua Painter and a little pool party ink to put a little bit of water in the vases.

When I stamped the flowers in each of the vases I again used my punched out vases to mask the solid vases so that you didn’t get the lines of the flowers on the outside of the vases so that it actually looks like they are inside.

This stamp set comes with 34 photopolymer stamps so not only do you get the outline of the flowers but you also get the solid insides where I have given the flowers both powder pink and berry burst. The leaves are one of the new 2018-202 In Colours Call Me Clover

On the corners you have noticed that I have added some Berry Burst Mini Ruffled Ribbon, I love ribbon and I think I collect it but I am determined to use a bit more on my cards not just look at how absolutely gorgeous it is! Stampin’ Up make such gorgeous co-ordinating product don’t you think? I do!

In the centre of the card I have stamped the vases in Berry burst and then punched them out with the Vases Builder Punch, it gives a bit of texture and added interest to the inside of your card.

It was lots of fun making this card so if you would like any help in making these cards or ordering supplies to make it don’t hesitate to contact me.

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 3 - Bermuda Bay

Darling Label Punch Box, All The Good Things

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range.

Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order.

This week “Bermuda Bay ” is up.

I have made 2 quite simple cards for you tonight as I wanted to show off the gorgeous colour of Bermuda Bay. The first I have combined the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper with the Darling Label Punch Box stamps and punch. The Second card I have used the All The Good things on water colour paper and used the Bermuda Bay as a water wash.

The Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper is just gorgeous, and you are going to love it. There are so many pretty designs that you can use to make quick easy cards and also full-size sheets for scrapbooking as well. Just beautiful.
Darling Label Punch Box. Delightfully Detailed DSP

I wanted to make a monochromatic card to detail the Bermuda Bay theme and just show you how quick and easy it was to put together a card using this paper.

I have stamped the Thinking of you from the Darling Label Punch Box in Bermuda Bay and with the punch that comes in the box punched it out and then another one in the Bermuda Bay just so I could give a little colour behind the tag. Popped that on some dimensional and with a little bit of ribbon from the Tea Room Combo Pack your card is finished. Quick and easy to make multiples of or if you are in a hurry and need to make a card.

The second card is a little more involved and I used the Stamparatus to help me to make sure I could add more ink if I thought I didn’t have quite enough ink on my image.

I really loved this stamp set All the Good Things when I saw it in the catalogue and so did my daughter so I just couldn’t wait to get it. It is one of the DistINKtive set of stamps that Stampin’ Up has exclusively designed.
All The Good Things

It really is gorgeous and I have stamped it on the water colour paper in stazon then added some crushed curry over the top with my sponge dauber just to give it a little more colour.  Then I used my aquapainter and picked up some of the Bermuda bay ink to wash around the Koi fish.
I wasn’t quite finished, I thought the fish needed a little bit more glam so I got my wink of stella glitter brush out and coloured over the fish to make them sparkle. Also I needed must one more little saying and I found that in the new hostess set Artfully Folded. “Be your own kind of Beautiful” I just love this set too and this sentiment! I have used the same ribbon as I did on the first card as it is just beautiful and added some extra bling with the clear rhinestones.
All The Good Things

On the inside of the card I have stamped the Koi fish on plan whisper which and I think you can see the detail so much clearer than on the water colour paper. I have stamped it in crushed curry and then added a little bit of pumpkin pie blend pen to the more solid part of the rubber and stamped again to give the darker colour in the koi fish.

Both cards were quick to make with just a little bit of water wash technique in the second card so a little bit extra time needed. If you would like any help in making these cards or ordering supplies to make them don’t hesitate to contact me.

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 2 - Basic Gray

Daisy Delight, Love You To Pieces, Basic Gray

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range. Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order. This week “Basic Gray” is up.

I have made 2 very simple cards for you tonight and the first I have just simply stamped the Daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Basic Gray twice and used the Daisy punch to punch it out. The centre of the flower is stamped with our new InColour Pineapple Punch.

Daisy Delight

To add a little bit of interest to the front of the card I have scored two lines 1cm apart down 2 sides to meet under the daisy and then in between these lines I have added the new gorgeous Leaf Ribbon before popping the daisy up on a dimensional.
Daisy Delight

The sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set.

The second card highlighting Basic Gray today is a little different. I have used the Thick Whisper White card stock as my card base so it will stand up and then layered the Basic Gray card for my background.
Love You To Pieces

Using the Swirley Scribbles Thinlit Dies I have cut out a circle in copper foil and then added some more of the gorgeous new Leaf Ribbon. The colour is just beautiful! I have embossed in copper embossing powder From the Heart at the bottom of the card which is from the Petal Palette stamp set.

Now the heart in the middle is from a brand new stamp set and thinlet bundle which I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on when the new catalogue started. The Love you to Pieces Bundle. It has the Love you to Pieces stamp set and the Puzzle Pieces Thinlet dies. I just had to have it. So watch this space for more projects using this bundle.

Love You To Pieces

As you can see I have stamped the heart in Basic Gray which is this weeks highlight colour and then cut it out with the heart puzzle piece. So cute! I then popped the pieces up on mini dimensionals and the whole card front on regular dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

Both cards were simple and quick to make so if you would like any help in making these cards or ordering supplies to make them don’t hesitate to  contact me.

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 1 - Balmy Blue

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range. Each week the lovely Cathy Proctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order. This week “Balmy Blue” is up and is a beautiful light subtle blue. It is one of our new colour in the colour revamp.
Graceful Gardens, Petal Palette, Rooted in Nature, Balmy Blue

As it is a new colour I don’t have the Stampin’ Ink Pad as yet but I was very fortunate on out team day recently to get given the reinker for Balmy Blue and I just so happened to order in my preorder a pack of subtle card stock so I had 2 Balmy Blue pieces of card stock. Perfect I was ready to take part in this weeks blog hop.

Because I had the reinker I thought I could heat emboss some white onto crumb cake card stock and then use my blender pen to pick up the ink and colour in the flowers that I had chosen. I did it this way instead of using the aqua painter as I wanted to be reasonably precise as to where the ink was places. The leaves are also with a new colour Call me Clover, it is one of this years new InColours.

Graceful Garden, Rooted in Nature, Balmy Blue

Petal Palette, Rooted in Nature, Balmy Blue

I chose 2 different flowers to see what kind of effect I would get. The bigger cluster is from the Petal Palette stamp set and the single flower is from the Graceful Garden stamp set. The sentiment is from a new stamp set to the catalogue this year Rooted in Nature.

For the greetings on both cards I have used stazon ink on vellum and cut it out using the stitched shaped framelets and then I have backed that with a piece of whisper white cardstock cut out with the same framelet. Plus a little bling with the clear rhinestone basic jewels and then I have adhered this together with mini glue dots under the rhinestones.
Graceful Garden, Rooted in Nature, Balmy Blue

Our very new gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon just sets this card off perfectly and then the sentiment is popped up on dimensionals over the top.

Please make sure you hop on over to Cathy’s Blog to get the list of the other ladies from the Art With Team taking part this week.

If you have any questions about how to make this card please don’t hesitate to contact me it is really quick and simple to make.
