The Heart of Christmas - Week 5

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. How are you going with your Christmas cards? Are you able to create with our Art with Heart team, I hope so.  Don’t forget that there are members of the team playing along each week and you can click on the banner at the top of the post to jump to our wonderful team leader’s blog Claire Daly to get all the links or just click on Claire’s name for all the Christmas inspiration.

In this weeks Heart of Christmas get together I have made a fancy fold card so let the countdown continue …..there are only 23 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November.

Today I used the Star of Light stamp set on page 122 of the annual catalogue and the coordinating Starlight Thinlits dies on page 216.

For this card I have made a swing easel card. There are quite a few different easel card designs that you can make but I thought that this one really highlighted the beautiful star that you cut out with the Starlight Thinlits dies.

I have used the Be Merry DSP this week and along with the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper on the star. To hold up our easel card the new clear faceted gem has been used.  For a full list of the products used check out the list at the end of the post.

When you want to write your greeting there is space to do this on the back of your card.  Here you can see the card closed at the front and then turned over so that you can write on the back to your friend or loved one.

Don’t forget to contact me for more information on how to make this card, on how to get your hands on the new Annual Catalogue and any of your Stampin’ Up goodies.

Stampin' Up - Favourite New Bundle

Today the Art with Heart Team girls are showing you their favourite bundles from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Bundles make creating a breeze, because of the perfect coordination. It's a bonus that you get 10% off by bundling the products together too. There are 24 bundles in the new catalogue so ask us about them, or for a catalogue today!

When I heard that the theme of our blog hop was favourite bundle I couldn’t wait until I could get my hands on the Climbing Orchid Bundle. Oh, how I love Orchids. I had orchids and frangipani in my wedding bouquet.

Didn’t my Mum do a fantastic job of my bouquet?
She even hand made the flowers for the top of my cake? The Cake tins we used for my cakes are the same tins that were used for my Grandparents wedding cake and my parents wedding cake. All of this is why I just had to have the Climbing Orchid Bundle.

Here is my card and I know it isn’t an orchid it is a frangipani!

I have cut out the petals of the fragipani with the largest 3 petal shape from the Orchid Builder Framelits and then cut them into individual petals to a slight point to where the centre of the flower will be. With my bone folder I have just rolled each petal to give it some curve. I have added the colour to the white frangipani with the water colour pencil, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie. All the petals are joined together with some Multi liquid Glue laying one on top of the other at the center point and working your way around.

To finish of the little bouquet I have used tranquil tide card stock stamped with the leaves from the climbing orchid stamp set and then cut out using the framelits, all placed on a lace doily with berry burst ribbon and layered on colour theory designer series paper.

The sentiment punched out with the Duet Banner Punch and inside text of the card are from the stamp set Special Celebrations.

Now for some more favourite bundle fun continue on with the blog hop by clicking on the next arrow and head over to the lovely Monika

The Heart of Christmas - Week 4

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

How have you been going with singing this week? Have you been able to get Santa Claus is coming to town out of your head? 😊

In this week’s Heart of Christmas get together I have made a simple card that you can make multiples of so let the countdown continue …..there are only 24 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November.

Today I used the Seasonal Bells stamp set on page 123 of the annual catalogue. Don’t you just love bells? My Auntie collected bells when I was growing up and she had quite a few different ones and I loved looking at them whenever we visited.

I have used 3 of our embossing powders, to show you the difference and how easy it is to make this quick card. When I showed my husband he really liked then new copper trim that I used on the copper bell card. I must say the new trim and ribbons in the new catalogue are amazing.

In lovely Copper.

I love ribbon and I just can’t get enough of them but I am promising myself this year that I will not just look at how gorgeous they are I will use them on my cards and projects.
 In lovely Gold.

In lovely Silver.

You will find the detailed instructions on how to make this card and what products were used at the end of this post.

For more Christmas inspired fun pop over to our team leader's blog, ClaireDaly, for her card and a list of other team members who have joined in this week.

Don’t forget to contact me for more information on how to make this card, on how to get your hands on the new Annual Catalogue and any of your Stampin’ Up goodies.

Hope you have a lovely day. Thank you for spending some time with me.

The Heart of Christmas - Week 3

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

I hope you have enjoyed the long weekend we have had here in Australia. I have done a little bit of creating and had a lovely relaxing time with the family which included some board games. We love having a good games night, how about you?

As part of my creating this weekend I made our weekly Christmas card for our Heart of Christmas get together with you so let the countdown continue …..there are only 25 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November.

Today I thought I would mix it up a little bit from the last 2 weeks. I still have Santa but I have used the Santa from the Cookie Cutter Christmas set. He is so cute.  I have paired him with the new hostess set In the City and all I had the hardest time not singing at the top of my lungs Santa Claus is coming to town! Well now you will be singing it all day too with this cute card! I can’t Stop!

To make this cute card you need to:
1.           Cut your Basic grey A4 card stock in half and then fold in half for your
card base
2.         Cut a piece of Be Merry DSP 14.5 cm x 10 cm
3.         Cut 2 x 12 cm  lengths of Copper Trim and 1 x 12 cm length of Silver Natural Trim
4.        Adhere copper then silver the copper trim 2cm up from the bottom of the Be Merry DSP
5.         Adhere Be Merry DSP to the Front of your Basic Grey card Base.
6.        With your embossing buddy lightly rub over the bottom quarter of the rest of the Basic Grey cards stock piece that you have.
7.        Choose the 4 houses  and 1 tree you would like to use from In the City Stamp set and ink up with versa mark and stamp onto the Basic Grey card stock that you have rubbed lightly with the embossing buddy.
8.        Once you have stamped 4 houses and a tree pour over the silver embossing powder and tap of the excess back into the embossing powder. Then heat set with the heating tool.
9.        When set fussy cut out the houses and adhere just above the copper trim using Stampin’ Dimensionals
10.    Stamp Santa from Cookie cutter Christmas Stamp set in Memento ink and then use the Cookie cutter builder punch to punch him out.
11.       Use Cherry cobbler and Basic Grey Stampin’ Write markers to colour in Santa.
12.     Use a bit more copper trim and make a loop and adhere to the back of Santa and then pop him up on dimensionals and adhere him in the top left corner.
13.     Now using the Labeler Alphabet spell out “Santa Claus is coming to town” and cut them out and pop them up using the new Mini Dimensionals! Try not to sing! I bet you can’t! 😊
It was lots of fun making this card!

The Heart Of Christmas - Week 2

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

I don’t know how your week has been but mine has been quite hectic so I am going to love having this weekly get together with you to do a Christmas card.

As you know our time at the end of the year only gets more hectic and we seem to find less time to make our Christmas cards so join me now and the some if the other team members from Art With Heart and you will have all your Christmas cards and projects done in no time. Christmas won’t be hectic this year at all.

The countdown continues …..there are only 26 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November.

Today I have for you a card made with the stamp set Father Christmas.  Yes I used this stamps set last week, I like to get as many different styles/types of cards and projects out of one stamp set as I can. I am really loving our new in-colour Fresh fig so I have once again used that on his robe. I think I am in love with Fresh Fig and copper! How about you?

The card that I made for you today is a Z-Fold card.

There are quite a few versions of z-fold cards and double z-fold cards but I wanted to bring us back to a very simple one with some Designer Series Paper and a card that can be easily duplicated so you can make a stack in 1 sitting.

I have used our blender pens to add the ink of Fresh Fig to the robe of Father Christmas. I have used Tranquil Tide Ribbon wrapped with some copper metallic thread to give that sparkle and contrast. I have used the holly leaves in crumb cake to frame out the inside of the card for when your write your Christmas message to your friends and love ones. For more product information check out the list below.
