Stamping Club Projects for May

Hope everyone is having a great week. I just wanted to do a quick post of what I have been up to this week. As you know I go and visit the lovely Claire Daly once a month for stamp club. (Don’t forget to check out her blog her cards and scrapbook pages are amazing) She is very generous with her time as I am unable to meet on the evenings that the club is held she lets me come during the day on a Wednesday the same week as the evening group meet. We have great 1 on 1 time and we even had great soup for lunch this week, Claire’s homemade pea and ham soup. I love soup! Each month a new lady is the hostess and we each buy supplies of $50 and the hostess get a level 1 hostess gift out of the Stampin’ Up catalogue. It is like having a party in your own home but you get to do it for 6 months with new projects to learn. Great fun. Well this month I was the hostess and man the ladies were really generous. They bought enough product so that I was able to get a level 2 hostess gift and $70 free stuff. I will show you the goodies when they arrive. O.K. back to the projects for this month designed by Claire:

We made a Friendly Words Jumbo wheel card. Looks great!

We made a card using the Friends 24/7 stamp set with the Cracked Glass technique. If you look carefully you will think that you are looking at the bird through cracked glass/window.

We also made C6 Card Folder which allows you to have 4 cards and envelopes in it so you can give them away as little gifts.

Here is an envelope that I stamped on as well to match the cards that I had made. The envelopes are so great to stamp on. Sorry the photo is a bit blurred I think I need photography lessons.

Yesterday was open day at Sarah's school. Here she is getting ready to go into the Multi Purpose Room with the Junior Choir. It is made up from children in Prep, Grade 1 and 2. As Sarah is in grade 2 she gets to stand in the back line which is funny as the grade 1 kids are taller than she is and so are most of the Preps. This was the best photo that you could see her in, when she was inside it was a bit harder to get a good photo. They have only been rehearsing for 3 weeks and they did a fantastic job.

Well I must get back to making a card for my niece. She had a baby girl on Saturday. Mia Rose, 6lb 7 oz, tiny little girl.

See you soon. Thanks for stopping by.
