The Heart of Christmas - Week 11

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

Wow there are only 17 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November.

Today with our One Page Wonder cards I felt a bit like some copper and triangles.

I have been inspired by a couple of the talented ladies in the Art with Heart team this week.

Christine Blain used a gorgeous gold embossed background to her card last week and has inspired me to add a little something extra to my first card this week.

I have copper embossed the holly branches from the Father Christmas stamp set using VersaMark and Copper Embossing powder and the heat tool straight onto the cherry cobbler card base of the card this week.

I knew I wanted to have the triangle piece of the Be Merry DSP just offset but I think it needed a little something and this has sure done it! Thanks for the inspiration Christine!

Then in no time the card came together with Father Christmas stamped in memento ink, cut out with the oval from Stitched shaped framelit, backed with the gorgeous copper foil paper cut out with the scalloped oval from the layering oval framelits. Place our triangle piece of Be Merry DSP with the Cherry Cobbler side facing up just a little bit diagonal rather that straight and adhere that to your card base. With a little bit of snail in the centre of your card place some big swirls of metallic copper thread before popping Father Christmas up on some dimensionals and onto  your card. Now I have stamped Merry Christmas from The Star of Light stamp set and cut it out and backed it with copper foil and popped it up with dimensionals as well.

The inside of the card I have stamped with smokey slate the gorgeous holly branches from the Father Christmas stamp set and then the sentiment is from the Star  of Light stamp set in memento.

Now I also wanted to do the other triangle so that we could see what it looked like. So for this card I turned the Be Merry DSP triangle over so that the pretty Christmas trees were showing. I was inspired by very talented Judy May with her Christmas wreath last week. Thank you Judy!

I have stamped the big sentiment from Merry Mistletoe and cut it out with the large circle from the stitched shaped framelits then used 2  of the Boxwood wreath embellishments to go around this large circle.  Before adhering the leaves to the circle I have wrapped a little bit of copper metallic thread around the leaves then adhered both to the sentiment with mini glue dots. I am really loving the ¼” copper trim and have used it to make a gorgeous bow at the bottom of the wreath and attached it with a mini glue dot as well.  The little berries are regal enamel shapes that match so well with the card base. I have used some snail to attach the triangle straight onto the card base and then our wreath I have used lots of dimensionals. You can use 4 or 5 I think I used a couple more. And there you have it easy as can be!

The inside decorated with the little trees and sentiment out of the Merry Mistletoe stamp set.  Stampin' Up gorgeous stamp sets and coordinating accessories making card making easy and simply beautiful every time!

  8. Loving your OSW cards Sharon! The embossing looks great, but my fave is the one with the wreath. The depth of colour with that and the copper trim is fabulous. Thanks for playing along with Heart of Christmas for week 11.
