The Heart of Christmas - Week 18

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.
Hope you have had a wonderful week.  Well last week saw the end of our journey through the One Sheet Wonder cards it is amazing how much you can make out of 1 piece of Designer Series Paper. This week I was so inspired by the Art with Heart team blog Hop last week on fancy folds that I thought I would give a different fancy fold a go for The Heart of Christmas this week.

I found this great Dutch fancy fold card and thought yes this is the one for this week. The Night in Bethlehem stamp set and Bethlehem Edgelits Dies were just perfect for this card.

There are quite a few bits a pieces to cut out but it is not hard at all to put together and it makes for a lovely card to send to a loved one for Christmas and you can use this design/layout with any of your Christmas or holiday stamps.
Here are a few shots of the card closed and then open up the layers.

Here I have stamped Blessed Christmas wishes in Night of Navy ink and clear embossed it to give it a little more lift. I have stamped this on to Whisper White card stock then using my sponge dauber I have gone over the edges and then sponged over the front of the card to give it a night time look before I adhered the crush curry back lit Town of Bethlehem in Champagne foil to the card.
When you open the first door so to speak you still have 2 doors closed of our dutch fold but it shows off the gorgeous Year of Cheer Specialty designer Series Paper.
Then we open the last 2 doors to reveal the inside greeting where I have embossed some silver stars and the beautiful verse from the stamp set before again giving it a night time feel with night of navy on my sponge dauber. Adding just a little more of the town of Bethlehem that we had already cut out to this page. Rejoicing in Christ is part of the stamp set also as is Joseph and Mary riding on the donkey and they fit perfectly on our doors.

On the back of course adding a simple decorated piece of whisper white card so that you can write your own personal message. This stamp was inked in Night of Navy and then I clear embossed to give that extra sparkle at night.

I have made a short video tutorial showing how to put all the layers together.

Here are all the measurements that you will need to make this card Dutch fancy fold card:
Basic Grey base card 18.1x20.3 cm (7 1/8 x 8 inchs)
On the 20.3 cm side (8 inch) score at 5.1 cm (2”) and at 15.3 cm (6”)
Turn card around to 18.1 cm side (7 1/8”) Score at 6 cm (2 3/8”) all the way to the bottom
Turn the card completely around still on the 18.1 side score at 6cm down to the score line from the top and then up from the bottom to the score line. DO NOT score in the middle of the card!
Fold All Score lines
Using your paper snips cut out the 2 squares on the bottom right and bottom left  of the card when you have the full score line at the bottom towards you and the broken score line at the top away from you.
