There are so many good products in the Sale-a-bration brochure and how about that signing bonus!Tonight I have made 5 cards for you. I had made 3 then just kept going I was having so much fun making cards. It has been a particularly tough week with the death of my cousin and then my niece lost her baby so I just needed to make some cards.
The first card I used a masking technique. I am using the Happy Birthday to you and Sending You thoughts for this card.
For this card I stamped the Birthday Cake with the flowers onto a post it note so I could cut them out to use as a mask.
I placed the flowers and the base of the cake in place took off the flowers left the cake base in place, inked up the flowers trying to only ink the flowers as much as possible with memento ink and then stamped the flowers. Cleaned the stamp re-positioned the stamp placed the flowers where the stamp was going to be stamped to make sure that the cake base would be in the correct place then placed the flower post it over the previously stamped image before stamping the flower image again. I just wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally stamp where I didn't want to. I continued to do this down the whole strip that I wanted to make
I then used my blender pen to pick up some ink from the lid of my ink pads, Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Old Olive and Night of Navy to colour the panel. I cut out the peek-a-boo panel in Petal Pink and then in Whisper White.
I really liked the pared down simple version of this one but as you can see when I stamped the sentiment on the front when I went to adhere it to the Petal Pink layer I had not waited quite long enough for the ink to dry and I hadn't noticed before I had it in place so I stepped the sentiment up a little.
The next 2 cards I made was using the Power of Hope Bundle. I just had to have this set from Sale-a-bration brochure as my daughter and I visited Japan in March last year and we had such a good time.
For this card I have 3 layers and stamped the lanterns in Stazon ink and then used the light and dark Real red Stampin' Blends to colour them in. The middle layer of trees I used soft suede ink, the same colour as the card stock layers in between the whisper white layers but stamped off once to give it a slightly lighter tone.
For the second card using the Power of hope bundle I used the the Stone 3D embossing folder as part of the layout in my card on the Petal pink cardstock and again I used the Stampin' Blends on the dress.
I just love the little lantern on the edge of the card and this would be a great card to give to someone starting a new job or going off to a new year at school. The designer series paper is Also from the Sale-a-bration brochure and has a gorgeous gold foil thread through it to add a little bling and extra something special to the card. It is called the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.
My next 2 cards I have used the sentiments from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in the New Mini catalogue and the Peaceful Poppies suite in combination with some of the Sale-a-bration products.
For this card I first used the painted labels dies from Mini catalogue to cut out the swirls circle and then stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful moment in the middle in Saddle Brown stazon. On the layer of Whisper white card that I had cut out the swirl circle I then put it through the smbossing machine with the Stone 3D folder from the Power of Hope bundle from the Sale-a-bration brochure. The green that you can see behind is also gorgeous DSP from the Sale-a-bration brochure - Lily impressions DSP.
I have then put the sentiment back over the circle that I created earlier to let the green show through. I then used the beautiful cherry blossom flowers from the Parisian Blossom suite and dies to add a soft touch to the card. I stamped these also in saddle brown stazon before cutting them out with the dies and colouring them with the Stampin blends. To add a little bling I have used the champagne rhinestones in the centre of each blossom.
For my last card tonight I have used the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer series Paper for the star of this card.
One of my favourite colours is Blackberry bliss so I wanted to use this colour for one of my cards to send to a friend who has just lost her husband and who also loves gardening so I thought the flower would work for this card as well. The DSP is just beautiful and bother the layers are part of this gorgeous paper and I have offset it with gold foil before the sentiment from the Peaceful moments and cutting it out with the painted labels die. Underneath that I have used rose metalic thread. The flower is stamped in memento in and punched out using the perennial flower punch and coloured in with Blackberry bliss Stampin' Blends and topped off with perennial essence floral centers.
I hope you have liked these variety of cards that you can make from the offering Sale-a-bration products.
