This month the Art With Heart Team are featuring Monochromatic cards, that is cards that only use different shades of the same colour. This is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the wonderful range of Stampin’ Up! colours across our inks, papers and embellishments that can be combined to produce the amazing monochromatic samples we have to share with you.
I have just one card for you tonight.n I had this running around in my head for a few days and finally got a chance to sit and put it all together.
I have used the First Frost stamp set which I just love not only for Christmas but for everyday cards. I thought the gorgeous Real Red would be the perfect colour to brighten everyone's spirits. So I stamped the small flower 3 times and as it is a distinctive stamp you get the gorgeous shades and details of the flower. I have used the dies that go with the stamp set Frosted Bouquet to cut out the flowers and to also cut out in white some branch sprigs and some leaves in vellum.
I have layered these gorgeous flowers over the basket weave 3D embossing folder and the gorgeous From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper from the mini catalogue. It is just gorgeous! I cut the circle out with the Layering circle dies before putting the whisper white card stock through the embossing machine with the basket weave 3D folder.
I think at this time in the world sending a friend a card is just a wonderful thing to do to stay connected so that is why I used the Well Written framelits to add the word Friend and the little bird as well comes with those framelits.
I hope you like this card and will try it. I think I will make a few more and send them out to some of my friends.
The next demonstrator to share her monochromatic project is the amazingly talented Vicki Boucher

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card Sharon. Love it!!! And thanks for reminding me about that little bird from the Well Written dies. He is so cute. I was looking for a bird the other day and didn't want to fussy cut one out. I hate fussy cutting.
