Week 21 - Colour Creations Showcase - "Highland Heather"

With this week's Colour Creations Showcase we come to a very gorgeous purple colour of Highland Heather. The name just makes you think of all the plants in bloom over the country side!

 This week Highland Heather

I am loving using our Designer Series Paper at the moment for cards and having it on special at the moment it is the ideal time for you to stock up on your favourite. I have used the Poinsettia Place DSP again tonight but not for a Christmas card.

Isn't this the most gorgeous colour? Of course I couldn't help using my favourite colour as a neutral layer so to speak. Blackberry Bliss! So I was winning all around with this card today I thought!

So here is my colour combination for today's card!
I am loving the Highland Heather and Blackberry bliss, it is calling to me!

Ok my friends to start my card I stamped the beautiful roses in Basic Gray Ink on Whisper white card and coloured them with the Highland Heather and Daffodil delight blends. I love these roses and the colour so nicely with the blends then I fussy cut them out. It doesn't take much as they are not a fussy rose! I then decided that I just had to have Blackberry bliss on my card so I added that layer and the back of the Poinsettia Place DSP from the card I made for our Christmas Showcase on Monday was still on my desk I thought that was fantastic so you can see where I was going.

If you look in your catalogues or on the back of the DSP when you get them they will tell you what the colours are that are used in the  DSP. Stampin' Up! has done all the work for you. You do not have to work out what goes with what! So this is exactly what I did and how I came up with Garden Green and Old Olive as the 2 greens for my flower arrangement. I also added the copper for a little extra bling and I cut these out using the Forever Flourishing Dies. I am loving those leaves! Add a bit of braided lined trim and you have your flower arrangement. Don't forget to add a bit of your DSP to the inside of your card.

I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray and cut that out using the Tasteful Label dies that come in the Bundle with the Tasteful touches stamp set and the basic rhinestone jewels are coloured in dark highland heather blends which I just love doing! I think everyone should get every colour of the blends just so they can colour their ribbon and their pearls and rhinestones for their projects. So much fun!

Don't forget the sale on selected DSP is until the end of October stock up and save and have fun making beautiful cards. The DSP really do most of the work for you they are so gorgeous.
