I have a friend who absolutely love flamingos so when I was making my card today I was thinking of her as her mother in law has just been put into palliative care and will soon no longer be with us. So for my card today I wanted lots of gorgeous Flirty Flamingo Flowers as my friend has a gorgeous garden.
So for this card I have taken the Beautifully Penned DSP from the Saleabration Brochure and with my Stampin Blends in Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Dark So Saffron, and Dark Soft Sea Foam I coloured the flowers for the background layer of my card with a layer of Flirty flamingo card then on a card base of basic black.
For the sentiment panel I cut out one in Basic White and one in the reverse of the flowers in the Beautifully Penned DSP from the Scalloped Contour Dies. There are 2 long sentiment dies and I used my Smokey Slate Stampin' Write Marker and coloured each word and then stamped it down the label cleaning the stamp each time before colouring the next word that I wanted and stamping it.
I have stamped the flower from the Colour & Contour Stamp set in Smokey Slate and then with flirty flamingo ink stamped the water colour look petals on the flowers. The leaves I have used my Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blend. Now I have also done a double bow of black and white bakers twine and to finish off used some In Colour Evening Evergreen Jewels.
