Week 37 - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Poppy Parade

Welcome to colour creations blog hop for the last week of February 2022. I can not believe it is the end of February already.
Well this week the team is look at the bright colour of Poppy Parade!
Poppy Parade

I have decided to try a new technique this week as I needed to try it for a swap that I am in and I thought well why not try it for our colour creations blog hop and see if I like it then I can do it for my swap. Well I liked it so it will be happening for my swaps!

Rhapsody in craft, Poppy Parade, Bleach our image technique, Blessings of Home, Flowers of Home Dies, Blessings of Home Bundle, Stripes and Splatters 3D embossing Folder, Lovely Labels Pick a Punchm Jan-Jun Mini 2022, #colourcreationsbloghop, Stampin Blends, Stampin Up!
So I have used the gorgeous Blessings of Home Bundle for my card and used the Bleach out image technique. So how did I make my focal point image.

I stamped the large image in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake card stock and then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set that! Then I took an old water painter and a little bit bleach and started to paint the image with the bleach. As you can see as it starts to dry the paper becomes more yellow and you can see if you missed any spots.

Once the bleach is completely dry then you can start to colour with your Stampin' Blends

Once I had coloured with my Stampin' Blends of light and dark Poppy Parade, Dark Soft Succulent and light Evening Evergreen, Dark Crumb Cake and Dark Soft Suede, I then cut the image out with the dies form the Flowers of Home Dies. I did start to fussy cut it out then remembered I have the dies for this stamp set and stopped just in time! Phew! as you can see in the top corner I have coloured a little of poppy parade so you can see what it looks like when the card was not bleached. I think the bleaching makes the Poppy Parade really Pop!

To back the focal flower I have used the Splatters 3D embossing folder and I have used the leaf and branches dies from the Flowers and Home Dies and have cut them out in  Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Succulent and Vellum Card stock.

As you can see I have again used the gold shimmer ribbon and frayed a little under the flower and layered a little under the  birthday sentiment which I have stamped in Early Espresso and then clear embossed it before cutting it out with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

I hope you liked this look at Poppy Parade and this fun technique. It really pops off the page in real life and is fun to do. I hope you give it a try.
