Well this is the final colour creation for this year as our new catalogue is coming out next week! We will have 5 new InColors and that is always exciting to play with new colours!
For this week I have made a thinking of you card that could be used for a get well card or even for a sympathy card. A dear friend this week lost their young daughter in her early 20's and with my children all about the same age it just hits very close to home. So hold your children and your loved ones so close my friends.
I thought the sentiment from the Bamboo Stamp set was perfect for a get well card or a sympathy card and I do have a couple of close friends that are also unwell this week with Covid so they may just get this card too. I stamped many of the flowers from Quiet Meadow thinking I would add more but now I have them ready to go so I can make a few more cards.
I have done all the stamping on this card in the colour of the week Soft Suede and the flowers I have coloured with the stamping blends. I chose Flirty flamingo both light and dark and then Soft Succulent both light and dark for the green and a little dark So Saffron for the centre of the flowers. On the background I have used Crumb Cake Card but stamped in Soft Suede using the script, dots and little flower stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set then I ran it through the Splatters 3D embossing folder and with the sponge dauber I added some more soft suede around the edge and roughed it up with my paper snips to give it that old fashioned grunge look.
I have layered my fussy cut flowers (I am really into fussy cutting at the moment) with some gold shimmer ribbon and a few soft suede twigs from the Meadow dies under the sentiment punched out with the label me fancy punch and then put through the Splatters 3D embossing folder with a little bit of soft suede on the embossing folder. Of course flowers needed a bow and the linen thread was perfect. All of this is layered on the Symbol of Fortune DSP on Soft Suede card.
Don't forget to decorate the inside of your card which I have done with some more of that gorgeous Symbols of Fortune DSP and another fussy cut flower.
If you have any questions about today's project please do not hesitate to contact me.
