Well what a week one we had of our New In Colors! This week we are looking at Parakeet Party the bright green of the bunch. I actually quite like it.
I needed to make a couple of cards for my ladies group at Church as it is our yearly Pamper Night tomorrow and as with all things Covid has meant that we have had to change things up and we can't do pampering the same way so we are looking more into the Wheel of Well being and one was to connect with others so I thought I would make some cards for them to send to stay connected with others as this is not only good for them but also good for the people who receive the cards.
So I thought I would carry on my colour scheme as last week if you have been playing along at home and stamp my flowers with similar colours as to the ones used in my tea bag envelopes!
For my first card I have used the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes as it has all the new In Colors there ready for you to decorate so then I used the Scalloped Contour dies with Basic White card to give me a place to stamp my flowers. I used my Stamparatus and lined everything up and stamped all my cards this way after I had done the first one. The leaves are in Parakeet Party and the flowers are in Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky and Crushed Curry. For this card I have added a little bit of the dies with Garden green behind the Parakeet Party Sending and then the sentiment is stamped in Parakeet Party and cut out using the Sending Dies.
For this card I have created the focal image the same way and oh don't forget to put the adhesive sheets on the Parakeet Party card stock before cutting out the word sending it makes it so much easier to adhere it to the Garden Green silhouette. So the focal point part of the card is layered on a card base of Thick Basic White, Garden green card stock and a layer of 2022-24 In Colour DSP in Parakeet Party.
For this card I have used the Tea Boutique DSP again but this time I have stamped the flowers and leaves on Basic White card and cut them out using the Sending Dies and layering them on the scalloped contour die. You might even noticed that I have added some Parakeet Party Bakers Twine and some Parakeet Party Matt Dots just to kick this card up a little more than the other cards.
