Welcome to week 8 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are introducing the colour Lemon Lolly! Doesn't that just make you want to go out and get a lovely lemon drop lolly/candy to pop in your mouth while you read and hop along to all the inspiration of the Art with Heart team this week. At my house we like them with some lemon sherbet in the centre! But I digress enough about lollies and back to the lovely Lemon Lolly Colour that has been added to our Subtles Collection
This week I am playing with a new bundle for me Timeless Arrangements and new in our annual catalogue! Well I love it and you can find it on page 67. Lots of sentiments and the dies are fantastic! You can stamp out the images, colour and cut them out, just die cut them out, have labels in different sizes and the foliage fits the labels in layers. Oh there is so much that can be done with this bundle I think I will be coming back to it time and time again. No wonder they called it Timeless Arrangements!
So here is my colour combination for this project! I couldn't resist adding a little Blackberry Bliss!
When you have all your pieces cut out you simply adhere them to the back of your label which I have stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with the largest label in the set. Each of the foliage pieces layer and sit perfectly behind. I then added the Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon plus my coloured flowers and bubble ones and the cut out stamped Old Olive leaves and extra Crumb Cake sprigs.
I just love the way they all layer together I am going to have to play with this bundle more so look out for this set in weeks to come.
Now is the time to head to the next person on our journey of Lemon Lolly and this week you will be going to the very talented Ros Davidson. She does amazing bright colour combinations and I can't wait to see how she combines colours with Lemon Lolly. So hit the next blog button and you will go straight there.

These dies are great and have helped you to create a gorgeous card :)
ReplyDeleteNow I'm craving a lemon sherbet, Sharon! You're cluster of colourful flowers and foliage all look wonderful against the Lemon Lolly background of your gorgeous card.
ReplyDelete"The bubble one on a stem" works for me! I'm a big fan of tone-on-tone stamping; nice background, my dear, for the beautiful floral extravaganza you have created. Lovely card ... and yes, I did think that was a LOT of colours, but you worked them into your design beautifully.
ReplyDeleteSo many colour all together and they come together so nicely with Lemon Lolly.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I haven't had a lemon drop lolly for ages. I used to love the sherbet. Even though you have used a lot of colours they have all come together beautifully in your card. I laughed at the "bubble on a stem" comment. It amazes me sometimes how others just know the names of all the different flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe background stamping adds a lovely subtle texture to support all those gorgeous die cut pieces Sharon.
ReplyDeletehehe, you didn't disappoint, in using a little Blackberry Bliss and it adds a beautiful pop of colour. The background tone on tone stamping is gorgeous behind your amzing floral arrangement around your sentiment. Beautiful card, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing array of colours, which all work wonderfully over the Lemon Lolly. And I love that pop of Blackberry Bliss. It all combines into a gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Sharon. I love your tone on tone stamping in the background and your gorgeous floral array - both die cut and stamped/coloured. All so gorgeous together. xxx
ReplyDeleteAll the colours you have chosen look fabulous under the sentiment.
