This week I have for you a fun fold springy pop up type of fold that I found watching Jay from Mitosu crafts for one of their Fun Fold Fridays and I thought I would try and make the fold but a Christmas version. This card is a card with 2 spring like folds. One upside down and attached to the base of the card and a little one that holds the focal point of the card. Let's have a look!
For my card I have chosen to use the gorgeous Peaceful Seasons and Peaceful Evergreens bundles. I am loving these this year! Plus can you see the Designer Series Paper? Yes you guessed it I have usedthe Winter Meadows Paper. It has such beautiful tones in it, I can't resist it.
The card base is in Lost Lagoon. I really can't take my eyes off this colour and I have taken the beautiful Winter Meadow DSP and dry embossed with the Painted Trees Embossing Folder. The photo was a little hard to capture but I hope you cand get the idea.
I have taken on of the other pieces of the Winter Meadows DSP and adhered to the top and bottom sections of the larger spring. The embossed DSP is adhered in the middle. Then that is adhered onto a card front and the little spring is adhered to the middle of the front of the card. There is one more piece to add to the middle spring and this makes sure that top and bottom pieces don't get out of control and spring away. No this is to hold them all together and it is only attached to the little spring and then you can decorate. Here is a side on view of the spring attached to the front of the card. Here you can see the middle little spring and how the front panel is attached to that spring and holds the fancy fold together.I am holding down the larger back spring so that you can see that the front focal point is only attached to the middle spring. For the decorations on the front of the card I have stamped the Peaceful Evergreen treen twice in Pretty Peacock and once in Lost Lagoon and cut them out with the Peaceful Evergreen Dies along with the gold foil overlay and star. I have stamped the Christmas from the Peaceful Seasons stamp set in Moody Mauve and cut it out with the Peaceful Seasons dies along with the Merry which has been heat embossed in gold. These sentiments have been popped up on dimensionals. On the inside I have heat embossed the sentiment from the Peaceful Seasons. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Now is the time to head to the next wonderful Art with Heart team member and this week you will be heading to the amazing Andrea Sargent, I am loving her beautiful creations each week and I can't wait to see what she has for us this week. Hit the next blog button and you will go straight there.
Another beautiful fold Sharon. I really like how the gold die cut tree really pops from the others on the card. A great focal point.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, another amazing fun fold Sharon. I love the different springy bits - I must check this fold out. Great use of the gorgeous DSP - I’m so glad it was carried over. Your Peaceful Evergreen trees are beautiful, including the embossed panel in the background. Your card is gorgeous all around. xxx
ReplyDeleteWell that is a different design, Sharon, and so effective with those lovely Winter Meadows papers. The gold foil tree overlay adds such a beautiful touch of elegance with the heat embossed sentiment. Fantastic card!
