Welcome to the Heart of Christmas 2024 for Week 11. Hope you have had a great week. I organised a sip and paint event for my church on Saturday night except we called it supper and paint. So lots of yummy supper, coffee, tea, soft drink and we had an artist come and help us find our creative side. We all got to do our own canvas and we had lots of fun. I did a butterfly and my daughter did a giraffe.
I have not quite finished my butterfly but as I was organising the event I thought I really should start to pack up.So because of that I ran out of time to do a big project for you this week and I was thinking how about a kit! Did you know that for October all of the Stampin' Up kits are up to 30% off!
Not just the Christmas ones so grab yourself a kit or 2 or 3. They are so great to have on hand to throw in your bag to take with you on holiday with you or of you need a quick card for birthday or saying thanks or you name it there is a kit for almost every occasion. The Christmas Ornament Kit has 3 designs and are fun to put together and are come with the gorgeous gold hoops.Design 1 comes with a small hoop but perfectly formed.
Design 2 and 3 are on the larger gold hoop. Aren't the pinecones and berries so cute!
Design 3 have gold berries and a red bow.I still had my light of the year stamp set and dies on my desk from last week and I thought I might step up the ornament a little. You can keep the ornaments just like the kit has them or you can add a little bit more from your own stash and get creative.
So I stamped the smaller of the 2 lanterns in Pebbled Path and die cut it out. I stamped the candle in Crumb cake and then using Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend I coloured the flame and added a little bit of a glow. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and fussy cut and popped it up on dimensionals like the lantern.
I borrowed my daughters small Christmas tree that she has in her room to hang the ornaments but these are going to look fantastic on my large tree and when I finish the rest I can't wait to give as gifts to my friends and love ones.
Now is the time to head to the next wonderful team member on our Heart of Christmas journey this week and you will be heading to my beautiful friend Andrea Sargent. She does the most amazing work and I can't wait to see what she has for us this week, just hit the next blog button and you will go straight there.

I love your Christmas ornaments Sharon. I am yet to play with my kit. Your personalised ornament with the lantern is special. The giraffe and butterfly are wonderful paintings - you are both talented xxx
