Welcome to Granny Apple Green Week for 2024-25This week I decided that a little bit of colouring with my Stampin' Blends was what was needed today as it was a hot day here in Melbourne and yesterday my family and I went for a lovely walk to 7 Acre Rock! The view were magnificent! I will add a photo at the end of my post. You will want to come to Victoria just to drive there for the view! For my card today I decided that I wanted to use the Embraced with Love stamp set it is probably one you might have missed right near the end of the Sept- Dec Mini on page 60. I chose this stamp set as my husband loves Red Pandas! Well they are rather cute!
For the card base I have created a Double Z-fold card and I have used Thick Basic White for the main case and then layered the 2nd "z" over that with Granny Apple Green Card. For the background of the focal point of the card I have used the Blending Brushes and added some Granny Apple Green ink to the centre of each section before using the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder to add a little dimension to the Basic White Card. For the images on the card I got out the Stampin' Blends. I do like to colour. The Stampin' Blends I have used on this card are Light and Dark Granny Apple Green and Light and Dark Poppy Parade and I used that on the greenery arch that I have stamped from the Wintery Tree Tops because you know that Red Pandas live in the tree tops!
As you can see for the leaves I have made them like a variegated leaf. For the Red Pandas I have used Light and Dark Cajun Craze, Light Pumpkin Pie, Ivory, and the Light of the Deep Combo Blends. I Blended the light Pumpkin Pie and Light Cajun Craze together together to get the lighter colour of the Red Panda and to get the brown that is the lower part of the body and legs I blended together the Light Deep Combo Blend, the Pumpkin Pie and Light Cajun Craze. The darker band on the tail was simply the Dark Cajun Craze. The Light colour around the ears and face was Ivory!
On the back section I have added a sentiment which I have cut out with the Stylish Shapes dies like I did with the Red Pandas. I adhered the foliage and the sentiment like I did the Red Pandas and the foliage on the front with dimensionals because of the dots from the embossing folder which make it a little bit hard to adhere to if you don't use the dimensionals. The middle part of the fold is a space for you to write and in my case to my Hubby!

I had totally missed the Embraced with Love stamp set, Sharon, but how cute are those red pandas? Love the combination of products on this amazing fancy fold and love your family photos even more!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, thoughtful, card, Sharon; I am sure Michael will love it. I really like how you blended Granny Apple Green ink in the centres of the card panels, before embossing them with that awesome embossing folder that I keep forgetting about! The foliage boughs (wreaths?) fit so well around the embossed patterns, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, Sharon. Another great fancy fold with those wreaths around the focal images. You have coloured those pandas beautifully. I'm with Michael, red pandas are just the cutest!
