I have been a bit under the weather this week so I have gone with a simple card that you can use your dies and gorgeous DSP that you may have left over from your other Christmas cards. For my card today I have used a card base of Basic Beige and layered it with a piece of Seasons of Elegance then a layer Old Olive Card Stock before adding a layer of Basic Beige that has been embossed with with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.Onto the base I created I then die cut out the sprigs/bows of greenery from the Green and Gold Specialty DSP and adhered them trimming off the part over hanging the edges. I then cut 2 tags with the Something Fancy Dies, one in the Graceful Greenery Vellum and one in the Seasons of Elegance DSP. To finish off the card I have added another sprig of greenery to the tag, a little bit of Gold Twisted Thread and the sentiment is Wow Gold Heat embossed from the Greetings of the season stamp set and die cut out with the Stylish Shape dies.
I do hope you have enjoyed my card today and that you will continue to join the team on a Wednesday as we have our weekly Colour Creations Blog Hop which is always a lot of fun and full of inspiration!

The foliage along the edge of the card are a beautiful hanger for the tag/bauble. Lovely subtle colour scheme Sharon. Thank you the fabulous job you did as our host for the Christmas blog hop
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting our AWH Heart of Christmas blog hop, Sharon. I do hope you feel better soon. I love the elegant simplicity of your classic Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Sharon. I'm a bit partial to rustic-y neutrals, with touches of gold. Great choice of embossing folder for the background, and I like your clever use of the die-cut foliage. Hope you are feeling much better soon. x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Sharon. I love your layering and the arrangement of the pine along one edge with the delightful tags. Thank you so much for all you have done to ensure HOC has gone smoothly this year. I have loved being a part of the Hops. Hope you feel better soon. xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the use of the double tags with the gold twisted thread. Your clever placement of the sprigs and the softly embossed background with the Fern folder is lovely. A beautiful calming colour palette.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting another wonderful year of Heart of Christmas xx
