Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 21 - Granny Apple Green

Tonight, the lovely ladies of the Art With Heart Team are highlighting the colour Granny Apple Green for the colour creations blog hop.

Granny Smith Apples are a favourite eating apple at our house, so it is going to be a nickname of this colour to call it Granny Smith Green as Catherine who is hosting our colour hop also called it when asking for people to join the hop.  Ok I am making myself hungry now.

Tonight, I started with casing the card in the Holiday Catalogue on page 35 using the stamp set Wishing You Well.  To CASE means Copy And Share Everything

So, this card is a Christmas card and is so easy to make, you can do it too! This stamp set is so beautiful as it is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets. They look so real!

Ok So I added the red rhinestones for a card class I was doing but the rest of the card is exactly the same.  Thick Whisper White card base, copper metallic thread, granny apple green ink for the wreath and then tranquil tide ink for the bow and greeting and pop that up on some dimensionals. I stamp the images using my Stamparatus so you can just make a number of these for your Christmas cards this year and you will be all ready.

Well I thought there are more stamps in this set, lets use the same design and gradually increase the degree of difficulty as they say in gymnastics and diving. I do like watching those sports in the Olympics. In card making we call stepping it up!

So here is the first card exactly the same design as the Christmas one in catalogue just using the different image in the stamp set. I still don’t think I have the copper metallic thread quite right.

In this next version I have used the Tufted Dynamic Textured Embossing folder as an added layer. I have also added some bling with the pearls. Simple added monochromatic layering with the regular whisper white card stock being embossed.

The next stepped up version I have added Granny Apple Green card stack layering behind the embossed layer and behind the stamped image.

To add an extra dimension to the stamped image I have added some real red flowers.

The last card the real red flowers have been stamped as well as the greeting in real red but I have added red rhinestones to the flowers.

Whichever of these cards you chose to do they are quick and easy and you can make multiples of very quickly if you need more than 1 of these designs.

Happy stamping.

Now jump on over to the lovely Cathy Proctor to see who else is playing along tonight in the colour challenge.
