This week for the Heart of Christmas Santa has decided to go on holiday to Australia and let the elves do all the work. I know who doesn't need a holiday!
So Santa Stamp set is so cute and as I live in Australia I like to think that this stamp set is partly for us and maybe Hawaii!
In my first card tonight I decided to do a fancy fold, yes I know I just can't stay away from the fancy folds but this one is not hard at all.
Here I think Santa has been working so hard all year and just needs to get away to Australia for a holiday and go surfing so he has hopped on his moped scooter with enough presents for all of us. Brought us some yummy treats to eat and then went for a surf while in the background on the DSP he left the elves behind to deal with all the other presents for the rest of the world!
Don't you think that is just the perfect holiday to take a gift and some food for the host and then go to the beach and relax. When are we going?
Now to make this card I cut my card A4 card stock in half straight down the middle so that it ends up with 2 long thin pieces of card. Fold this in half and that is your card base. Just like a normal standing card but lay it on its side. The mechanism for pictures of Santa is a strip of thick whisper white at 1 inch wide and fold it into 4 and adhere 2 sides down to the card base on either end leaving the 2 middle sections free.
The size of the squares for santa are 6.6x6.6 cm and the Real red backing is 7x7 cm each.
The front of the card I have used the Stamp set Merry Christmas to all and cut it out using the layering circle framelits!
Santa's Specialty DSP is so cute and fits perfect with my story of Santa doing a runner, I mean having a break. The ribbon is Poppy Parade textured weave and we all need some bling with the red rhinestones.
My second card is one I cased from the holiday catalogue. Did you know you could case the catalogue? Well you can! All the cards and projects in all the catalogues are there for you to get inspiration to use and for you to make.
This card is also using the So Santa stamp set. In the catalogue it is a square card and this one is the more traditional card size. All the Santa pictures have been coloured using the Stampin' Blends tonight so go wild with your choices when you get your So Santa stamp set.
Make sure you contact me so you can get your stamp set.
Now it is time to go over to the lovely Claire' blog and see who else is giving some Christmas inspiration this week.
Thank you for spending some time with me today, take care,
