This week I have a simple colour palette for our card today. Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow. Very classic Christmas Red and Green Colours.
So for my card this week I chosen to use the Leaves of Holly Bundle from the June-December mini. I wanted a card that didn't take too long to make.
I took a piece of Very Vanilla and first stamped the more solid holly leaf in Pear Pizzazz and I stepped down the card with my Stamparatus. I didn't care that it was stamping over the other leaf as we were putting the sentiment focal piece over the top anyway. After doing the 5 Pear Pizzazz I went over the top with the vein leaf in Mossy Meadow and then attached that to my Crumb Cake card case.I stamped the berries in Cherry Cobbler and cut them out using the Holly Berry dies and attached them to the card.
For the sentiment focal point I have used the Holly Berry Dies and cut out the label and leaf dies in Mossy Meadow and the smaller of the 2 leaves in Mossy Meadow and the solid part of the leaf in Pear Pizzazz. The Sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla and cut out using the smaller label die and popped on dimensionals.
I couldn't keep away from the bling so I added a little Real Red Glimmer Paper die cut overlay to the berries and to finish off with a double bakers twine bow.

Beautiful card Sharon, I think your pop of glimmer paper and a double bow are the perfect embellishments
ReplyDeleteAll those luscious berries add beautifully to the festive look of your card, Sharon ... and, as I said to Theresa, the addition of red glimmer paper to the berries is a great touch! I really like the classic, elegant, colour combination on your Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteLove the row of Holly and berries along the card edge. And agree Sharon adding glimmer to a Christmas card is hard to resist and the red glimmer on your berries is a great touch!
ReplyDeleteA delightful holly Christmas card Sharon. Love your colour scheme. Crumb cake with the traditional reds and greens is gorgeous. Your Holly leaf stepped stamping along the left side is just right. The layered labels with the extra leaves is beautiful too. Xxx
ReplyDeleteSnap on the bundle you used Sharon! Such a lovely traditional festive card and I agree the Red Glimmer paper is perfect for the berry highlights.
ReplyDeleteSharon I love the way you created the row of holly leaves as your backdrop for your beautiful cluster and greeting. I love the more muted tones too. A fabulous card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant card, Sharon. I love how you placed your stamping down the left hand side and placed the sentiment across the centre with extra holly & berries. Of course I love the addition of the red glimmer!
ReplyDeleteAn elegant and simply lovely card, Sharon. The continuous stamping of the holly & berries down the left side is so effective, and I love the addition of the red glimmer berries! A bit of Christmas sparkle is always hard to resist, so I say ‘go for it girl’ xx.
