Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

The Heart of Christmas - Week 15

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

Hope you have had a wonderful week if you are in the northern hemisphere you are having the last days of Summer and kids are starting to go back to school. Here in Australia it is spring but the weather at least where I live in Melbourne is still in winter mode.

This week I haven’t been very well with a migraine that has had me in bed every day so I am glad that I still had some pieces left from our One Sheet Wonder.  So this card is super simple and although this has a Christmas greeting you could make this same design for any kind of card you want, plus you can make multiples of it without any problem at all for your Christmas list.

I have used the 3 pieces that we originally cut and the 2 pieces that we cut as off cuts from our cards that we have made in week 13.

I have backed them with the gorgeous copper foil and popped then on the diagonal on some very vanilla card on top of a cherry cobbler card base. I nearly used one of our many shades of green but I came back to the very clean look of the very vanilla. The greeting is from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set and I have clear embossed this before using the stitched shape framelits to cut it out.  I have layered the greeting with cherry cobbler and copper foil using the layering oval framelits to cut these out before popping it up on dimensional after putting down some swirls of copper metallic thread. To finish of the card the new black rhinestone jewels adorn the corners.

As always Stampin’ Up makes it so simple to decorate the inside of your cards with just a little bit of interest. Merry Mistletoe stamps set has a lovely saying  and little decorations you can use on the inside of your cards. You don’t need to do much at all. I have again clear embossed as it is Christmas but you don’t need to do that at all.

Wow Sharon I can't believe how much mileage you've got out of this one sheet of DSP! Another clever and creative card.

Ugh! Adelaide is still very much in winter mode too - hurry up spring! Once again, a lovely card, and like Cathy, I am amazed at how much you've been able to make from one sheet.
