Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.
This week for Coastal Cabana week for 2024 I have used the Online Exclusive Christmas bundle Golden Greenery to create my card! I have used the beautiful foliage stamps to create my own wreath but with Coastal Cabana. Plus it is a monochromatic card so many different ideas all in the one card!
I have used the Coastal Cabana card stock for the base of my card and I just love this colour. I have paired it with Lost Lagoon and Basic White for the other colours in my card. The wonderful texture that the wreath is layer onto is a piece of Basic White that has been embossed with the Cross Hatch 3D embossing folder from the Basic 3D embossing Folder set.
For the leaves there are 12 believe it or not tucked in under the circle sentiment. There are 2 different leaf stems of this shaped leaf and I have used them both. I first stamped in Coastal Cabana and then the stem of the leaves in Lost Lagoon. This is a 2 step stamping leaf. I really loved how they came out. I then stamped the sentiment from Grateful Blessing stamp set in Coastal Cabana and cut it out using the dies from Spotlight on Nature and cut a piece of Coastal Cabana Card with the deckled Circle dies to place under it and popped them up on dimensionals and I added a little bit of white bakers twine as well.
Hope you have a try at this card and you can easily change up the colours of the leaves and make a Christmas wreath with them.

Welcome to week 4 of the Heart of Christmas for 2024. I am sure you are enjoying following us each week on a Monday and we will be here until the end of November.
This week I have for you a fold that I have seen a few times but I have never tried myself and thought I might give it a go. It is a Pop Up Book Fold. It has been around for a long time and I have thought I could use it again with this gorgeous stamp set Shepherd's Care.
I have gone very simple on the front of the card and again this week used the gorgeous Seasons of Elegance Specialty DSP with the gold foil throughout the paper. I have used Pretty Peacock as the card base and Basic Beige as the layer. On the front I have gold embossed the sentiment on the Basic Beige and cut it out using the Everyday Detail dies and backed it with a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock and then the new gorgeous Cherry Cobbler and Gold Satin Ribbon underneath is divine!
This is how the book pop up fold looks before you decorate. The couple of version I found were for a larger version and wouldn't fit in our C6 envelopes so I worked it out to fit inside our normal card size and envelope. So you have seen the front and the card base of Pretty Peacock then this layer which is the fancy Book Pop Up Fold I did in Basic Beige.
I have used the gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty DSP to line all the surfaces of the fold, the outer one in the Basic Beige and the inner and the book surface in the Pretty Peacock. Plus just for a pop of colour I added a strip of the Cherry Cobbler piece as well.
I have stamped the Shepherd from Shepherd's Card in Basic Gray on Basic White and then coloured using the Stampin' Blends. Light & Dark Crumb Cake, Light & Dark Pretty Peacock, Light Lost Lagoon and Ivory.
The star and the sentiment on the right hand side of the book has also been embossed in gold but on Basic Beige this time and the star has been fussy cut out. To write your message on the card I have added a spot on the back of the card.
This angle of the card give you a great view of the fold.

Welcome to the Colour Creations Blog Hop 2024 for this week and our colour this week is Cherry Cobbler:
Now this week I have not done a fancy fold! I know what in the world Sharon! Also being a Cherry Cobbler card I specifically chose not to do a Christmas card! Again, what in the world Sharon!
My card this week is full of layers and texture but also very simple and easy to achieve. I have chosen the Wildly Flowering Suite of products. In this suite you have not only the stamp set but a lovely lot of dies that not only cut out the flowers in the stamp set but also the frames and you have a lovely Dashing Designs 3D Embossing folder and the beautiful Wildly Flowering DSP.
For this card I have a base of Cherry Cobbler and then a layer on top of that in Cherry Cobbler that I have used the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder. It gives a lovely layer and texture to the card. Then I have stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on Basic White and cut out using the Wildflower Design Dies. After I had done this I chose 3 of the patterns from the Wildly Flowering DSP to compliment Cherry Cobbler and using the Wildflower dies cut out 2 to frame and another piece to anchor the whole design to the front of the card.
This photo show the bouquet of flowers from the stamp set that I have stamped in Smokey Slate and then coloured in using Light & Dark Cherry Cobbler, Light Wild Wheat, and Light & Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends. I then used the Dies to cut them out. Of course all bouquets need a bow and I have used White Bakers Twine.
The inside of the card didn't miss out either.
Quick and simple card this week with lots of lush colours. I do hope you will give it a try!

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas week 3 for 2024. Do you love Christmas? I love Christmas and I love the mini catalogue each year from Stampin' Up! to see what gorgeous Christmas offerings we are going to have. The September-December Mini is full of fun and exciting offerings and this week I am giving you a sneak peak of one of the stamp sets this year!
When I saw this stamp set it had my name on it! Shepherd's Care!
For the card today I have made a Faux, Side Step card. Super easy and just perfect for this stamp set. I think I will be making quite a few in this design for the card to give away this Christmas.
As you can see the base of the card is in 2 parts the main body is 8 x 5 1/2 inches and scored at 3,6 & 7 inches and the extra side step is a 3 x 6 inch and scored at 4 1/2 inches. The rest is a matter of measuring to the amount of layering/border width that you like to have for your tastes.
Now for some of the details. The card base is Pretty Peacock and I have layered that with Lost Lagoon. I am really loving that colour combination at the moment.
On the sentiment side I think you can see the gorgeous Season of Elegance Specialty DSP the best which is a Pretty Peacock colour with gold foil through it. I have stamped and heat embossing in gold 2 of the sentiments from the Shepherd's Care and layered them onto Lost lagoon before adhering them onto the different steps of the card over the DSP.
For the shepherd and sheep I have stamped onto Basic White in Basic Grey and then using Ivory for the Sheep, Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the head covering, Light & Dark Pretty Peacock and Light & Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends I coloured the image.
For the star I heat embossed in gold and fussy cut out and popped it up on a dimensional! Yes, it does fit into our envelopes I made sure before I fixed it on.
A fun design that can be replicated quite easily if you want to do many of them for Christmas.

Welcome to Calypso Coral week of the 2024-25 Colour Creations Blog Hop. I think this would be my Dad's favourite colour and I think that is because it is like a salmon colour and he likes fishing! LOL!
I need to thank the wonderful Stampin' Up Demonstrator Michelle Grech from thINK out loud Papercrafting here in Victoria Australia for my fun fold today. I followed her Facebook live tutorial to create my card. The fun fold card is a Double Door Pop Up!
For my card base I have used Calypso Coral and a layer Pebbled Path before adding the gorgeous Thoughtful Journeys DSP which has some of our lovely Calypso Coral as one of its colours.
When you open the card you will see 2 doors on their opening mechanism. I have added a little Pebbled Path on the doors and then on the outer edge and on the doors I have decorated with the beautiful Thoughtful Journeys DSP.
When you open your card completely the doors will fold out and on the inside of the card I have again layered with Pebble Path and on the Basic White layer I have stamped the lovely little flower stamp in Smokey Slate and the sentiment in Pebble Path. The flowers I have coloured with Stampin' Blends - Light & Dark Mossy Meadow and Light & Dark Calypso Coral.
On the front of the card have cut 3 circles with the Deckled circle dies and I have embossed the Basic White layer with the Cross Hatch Embossing Folder from the Basic 3D embossing set of folders. The labels are cut from the Something Fancy Dies and I have stamped the sentiment in Pebbled Path. The leaves have been stamped in Smokey Slate and and coloured in Light & Dark Mossy Meadow. The Die Cut leaves have been blended first before die cut.
I have used the blending brushes to add Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White card before cutting out the large leaf die and 2 smaller leaf dies. It doesn't have to be perfectly blended as leaves are mottled.
Here is a short video of how the card opens to give you an idea of how wonderful this fun fold really is!
