Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 3 - 2024-25 - Pretty In Pink

 

Welcome to week 3 of Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024 - 25! This week we are bringing back a lovely pink colour - Pretty In Pink!

I have gone super simple this week! I know you would have thought after all that busy and craziness of the last few weeks I would keep it going with the fancy folds but no this week I am going simple!

We all need a quick card to make and this one is as quick as they come. So quick I made 6! You can make them as a set and give away or keep them for yourself to use when you need a card!

Ok, you are asking "Why, Sharon, why did you make 6?" Well there are 6 sentiments with the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set of course so I just had to. The card design is a quick CASE (copy and share everything) of a 2020 poppy card by Brian King)

My card base is Pretty In Pink card base and then unlike Brian I have a layer of Designer Series Paper. I have used the 4 designs of the InColor 2024-26 DSP and then as I needed another 2 to complete my 6 because of the 6 sentiments I went looking and I found 2 more with the Lilly Pond Lane DSP. 

Here are the 4 InColor designs and the sentiments I used and of course the piece of DSP left over I adhered to the envelope flap so each card has their own envelope.

Here are the 2 Lilly Pond Lane designs that are on the back of the some really cute duck and pond scenes. For the sentiments I have stamped them in Basic Gray and cut them out using either the Deckled Rectangle or Circle Dies.

For the focal point of the card I have stamped the little stamp of 5 flowers over and over again in a row and coloured them using the Stampin' Blends. I have used Light and Dark Pretty In Pink on the flower petals and Light Pretty Peacock and Light Lost Lagoon on the leaves. Then the strip of flowers was layered on a piece of Basic Black and adhered to the center of the card front before adhering the sentiments on dimensionals.

There you have it 6 super quick cards that can be given as a gift set or kept to be used when you need to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 5 - 2023-2024 - Wild Wheat

 

Welcome to week 5 of the 2023 -24 Colour Creations Blog Hop and Week 5 of the new 2023-25 InColors. This week we are looking at Wild Wheat. 

This week I have created with the Textured Floral Bundle, I have placed all the gorgeous flowers on a base of our spotlight colour with a layer of Fresh as a Daisy DSP embossed in the Timeworn Type #d Embossing Folder.

I just love the rustic look the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder gives to the Back of one of the Fresh of A Daisy DSP pieces.

Then I went all out stamping the 3 flowers from the Textured floral stamp set in Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve for the top layer and then Moody Mauve for the middle layer and finally my favourite colour Blackberry Bliss and layered the three together.

I also stamped a Lemon Lolly flower along with some Mossy Meadow leaves before using the Textured Floral Dies to cut them out along with some Wild Wheat leaves and Mossy Meadow Leaves and finishing with a double bow of linen thread.

But as you can imagine my card does not finish quite there. Let's open it and see what happens!

I know you guessed it! I have created a fancy fold on the inside of my card. It is a Triple Panel Pop Up Card! 

The mechanism for the pop up is a box right at the fold of the card. You can also see that I have used some of the InColor DSP to line the inside of my card.

On this angle you can see how the 3 layers work together on the inside of the box inside the card. 2 on the Left and the middle card on the right. I also stamped the sentiment by masking, then inking, taking off the mask before stamping the words so I could place them just where I wanted as the sentiment stamp was too long for the space I had allowed. You can also see that I have embossed 2 of the panels with the Timeworn Type embossing folder and added Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve and Mossy Meadow stamped leaves and flowers to the inside of the card.

Never fear we needed a place to write on the card so the back needed a little decoration and a place to for you to write is all set.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 3 - 2023-2024 - Moody Mauve

 

Welcome to Week 3 of the 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are looking at the gorgeous InColor Moody Mauve! 

Now I quite like the colour but I am not so sure it is a favourite of others. So I thought I would go all out and just throw lots of it on my card to help you fall in love of it. Plus make a fancy fold just because!

So for my card I have used the Something Fancy stamp set and also the Something Fancy Dies to cut out the sentiments! I have also used the Peta Park builder punch for my flowers.

In the first photo you may notice that the flowers didn't have the iridescent pearls. I think it just needed a little bit of bling! Now you may be saying this doesn't look like a fancy fold card Sharon! Well no that is because it is an Internal Shadow Box Card!

So on the inside of the card base I have created  a pop up shadow box and behind the basic white card I have added some InColor Moody Mauve Heart DSP.

Then I had to decorate the base that was created so I took the Moody Mauve piece of DSP from Fresh As A Daisy and added that to the inside and the front cover then I got happy punching flower with the Petal Park Builder Punch. The Sentiment in the middle is stamped in Moody Mauve and cut out with the Something Fancy dies and just adhered on the right hand side so that it can move freely

All these gorgeous flowers in the middle of the card are glued together with the multipurpose glue and on the front I have layered them with dimensionals. I also used my bone fold to bend the flower a little. The colours I have used is Moody Mauve, Bubble Bath, Basic White and Mossy Meadow Leaves.

I didn't forget the back of the card. It is a panel to write your message on and I also decorated it with some of the flowers.

I almost forgot I used some of the gorgeous InColor Moody Mauve Ribbon under the Thank You on the Front of the card!
