Welcome to week 18 of the Heart of Christmas. Just 1 month to go of our weekly Christmas inspirations hops, can you even believe we are that close to Christmas? I can't so I have to stop reminding myself!
This week I have taken some inspiration from the Mini Catalogue and from another demonstrator The Paper Pixie and combined the 2 to come up with my creation.Today I have chosen to case the Paper Pixie card base design and a lovely little pouch to put the cards in but then use the Mini Catalogue as the decoration for the cards and the pouch! So let's get started and I will walk you through how I put the card together. I started with a card base of Sweet Sorbet card stock and cut a little off the front and added some of the gorgeous Sweetest Christmas DSP in its place. Also added a bit of Basic white to the inside so that you have a place to write on your cards Now I am making six cards to fit into my little pouch so I did all the stamping and cutting out all at the same time of each element. I cut out all the Largest Tailored tags and stamped the leaves in Garden green and added them to the front of the card. Next came the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red and Garden Green Combo Pack
Stamp and Cut out your holly leaves and add them.
Cut out the branch in crumb cake
I used the Candy Cane Dies and cut out six candy canes from the Sweetest DSP and layered that to the front of the card so there are 6 different Candy canes.
Some Old Olive branches are added.
The Banner from the Christmas Banners stamp set is stamped in Basic Grey and then the 'Tis the season is stamped in Garden Green and cut out using the Christmas Banner Dies and popped up on dimensionals
Of course you have to add the berries to the branches so I stamped them in Sweet Sorbet and cut them out with the Christmas Banner dies and then added them with some mini glue dots.
To finish of the cards I had to add a little bling and used the Adhesive-backed seasonal sequins.
This is the front of the pouch that all 6 cards fit nicely into. Next time I might make it slightly bigger to fit envelopes as well but if you would like to see how to make it check out The Paper Pixie. Again I have used all the goodies I used on the cards but a longer banner from the Christmas banner bundle and I have also used the large die from the Candy Cane Die to go in the opposite way to the DSP.
There are a few different ways I could close the pouch I haven't decided yet. How would you close it? A Ribbon, velcro? Something else?
