Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will
be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the
Stampin’ Up range. Each week the lovely Cathy Proctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the
colours in the range in alphabetical order. This week “Balmy Blue” is up and is a beautiful light subtle blue. It is one
of our new colour in the colour revamp.
As it is a new colour I don’t have the Stampin’ Ink Pad as
yet but I was very fortunate on out team day recently to get given the reinker for
Balmy Blue and I just so happened to order in my preorder a pack of subtle card
stock so I had 2 Balmy Blue pieces
of card stock. Perfect I was ready to take part in this weeks blog hop.
Because I had the reinker I thought I could heat emboss some
white onto crumb cake card stock and then use my blender pen to pick up the ink
and colour in the flowers that I had chosen. I did it this way instead of using
the aqua painter as I wanted to be reasonably precise as to where the ink was
places. The leaves are also with a new colour Call me Clover, it is one of this years new InColours.
I chose 2 different flowers to see what kind of effect I
would get. The bigger cluster is from the Petal
Palette stamp set and the single flower is from the Graceful Garden stamp set. The sentiment is from a new stamp set to
the catalogue this year Rooted in Nature.
For the greetings on both cards I have used stazon ink on
vellum and cut it out using the stitched shaped framelets and then I have
backed that with a piece of whisper white cardstock cut out with the same framelet.
Plus a little bling with the clear rhinestone basic jewels and then I have
adhered this together with mini glue dots under the rhinestones.
Our very new gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon just sets this card off perfectly and then
the sentiment is popped up on dimensionals over the top.
Please make sure you hop on over to Cathy’s Blog to get the list of the other ladies from the Art With Team
taking part this week.
If you have any questions about how to make this card please
don’t hesitate to contact me it is really quick and simple to make.
If you would like a copy of the new Annual Catalogue or have
any questions please contact me.
Thank you for spending a little bit of time with me today.
Have a lovely day, take care

Very pretty Sharon! I don't have the ink pads yet either but managed with the card from the new colours pack and the Stampin' Write markers.
You're so clever Sharon to come up with the idea to use the reinker to colour the card. It looks lovely, and how gorgeous is that polka dot ribbon? Thanks for joining our very first AWH Colour Creations blog hop!
Gorgeous cards Sharon! I'm really going to have to get me some Balmy Blue products!
Wow, the flowers look amazing in Balmy Blue on Crumb Cake! So pretty!
Oh, these are so pretty, Sharon! Love the technique you have used, and the polka dot ribbon is perfect.
Thank you Kathryn, yes I only had the new colour pack as well but hadn't ordered anything else as yet.
Thank you Cathy, I just had to play along so much fun and this is such a beautiful colour. I just love this ribbbon. I'm sure I will be using it a lot!
Thank you Caroline, it really is a beautiful colour!
Thanks Tina, it really looks gorgeous on the crumb cake. I normally do it on whisper white but I wanted to change it up for a change and I really like how it looks.
Thank you Christine, I love how it turned out!
Lovely cards Sharon, my fave is the petal palette flowers xx
