Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will
be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the
Stampin’ Up range.
Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the
colours in the range in alphabetical order.
This week “Bermuda Bay ” is up.
I have made 2 quite simple cards for you tonight as I wanted
to show off the gorgeous colour of Bermuda
Bay. The first I have combined the Delightfully
Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper with the Darling Label Punch Box stamps and punch. The Second card I have
used the All The Good things on water
colour paper and used the Bermuda Bay as a water wash.
The Delightfully
Detailed Laser Cut Paper is just gorgeous, and you are going to love it.
There are so many pretty designs that you can use to make quick easy cards and also
full-size sheets for scrapbooking as well. Just beautiful.
I wanted to make a
monochromatic card to detail the Bermuda Bay theme and just show you how quick
and easy it was to put together a card using this paper.
I have stamped the Thinking of you from the Darling Label Punch Box in Bermuda Bay
and with the punch that comes in the box punched it out and then another one in
the Bermuda Bay just so I could give a little colour behind the tag. Popped
that on some dimensional and with a little bit of ribbon from the Tea Room Combo Pack your card is
finished. Quick and easy to make multiples of or if you are in a hurry and need
to make a card.
The second card is a little more involved and I used the Stamparatus to help me to make sure I
could add more ink if I thought I didn’t have quite enough ink on my image.
I really loved this stamp set All the Good Things when I saw
it in the catalogue and so did my daughter so I just couldn’t wait to get it.
It is one of the DistINKtive set of stamps that Stampin’ Up has exclusively
designed.
It really is gorgeous and I have stamped it on the water colour
paper in stazon then added some crushed curry over the top with my sponge dauber
just to give it a little more colour. Then I used my aquapainter and picked up some
of the Bermuda bay ink to wash around the Koi fish.
I wasn’t quite finished, I thought the fish needed a little
bit more glam so I got my wink of stella glitter brush out and coloured over
the fish to make them sparkle. Also I needed must one more little saying and I
found that in the new hostess set Artfully
Folded. “Be your own kind of Beautiful” I just love this set too and this
sentiment! I have used the same ribbon as I did on the first card as it is just
beautiful and added some extra bling with the clear rhinestones.
On the inside of the card I have stamped the Koi fish on
plan whisper which and I think you can see the detail so much clearer than on
the water colour paper. I have stamped it in crushed curry and then added a
little bit of pumpkin pie blend pen to the more solid part of the rubber and
stamped again to give the darker colour in the koi fish.
Both cards were quick to make with just a little bit of water wash
technique in the second card so a little bit extra time needed. If you would
like any help in making these cards or ordering supplies to make them don’t
hesitate to contact me.

The delightfully detailed laser cut paper makes such easy and elegant cards doesn't it!
Love these ideas Sharon. The monochromatic card is fabulous, and I love the effects you have got on the fish card.
I love both your cards Sharon! You've really made me want that hostess stamp now! Thanks for hopping along in the blog hop!
Beautiful cards, Sharon! The fish are really pretty, and Bermuda Bay works so well as the wash background.
Lovely cards, Sharon. I especially love the second one. The beautiful Bermuda Bay watercolour wash is the perfect backdrop for the fish.
Oh wow, those fish are stunning. You have managed to get such wonderful colour with them and the watercolour wash is so realistic!
Both lovely cards Sharon that showcase Bermuda Bay so well.
