Welcome to Cajun Craze week of the 2024-2025 Colour Creations Blog hop!
I must admit this is not a colour I use very much but I dug deep and tried to find a fancy fold for you to help with the process. I went to Mitosu Crafts the home of Jay and Barry in the UK for this weeks inspiration on the fold and this one came from Jay!
The fold is called a Side by Side Stepper Card
Here is my colour combination for the card.
The card fold is a very simple fold but very effective I think and really the gorgeous Thoughtful Journeys DSP in combinations with the Changing Leaves Bundle Does all the work for you. Don't you just love these gorgeous papers!

So the fold is an 8 inch x 8 inch and you score at 1 inch and then at 2 inch along the bottom and turn and score down the middle at 4 inches. Then cut up to the 2 inch mark on that centre score line and fold. Really simple, then comes the decorations!
I have layered the Cajun Craze base with Very Vanilla and on this panel I have used the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing folder on the Very Vanilla layer. The leaves are in Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze and a couple of sprigs of Crumb cake. For the solid leaf I use my sponge dauber directly on the stamp and used Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry ink before stamping onto Very Vanilla card. The little bird is from the Country Birdhouse stamp set and I have coloured him using L & D Cajun Craze, Light Calypso Coral, Light Daffodil Delight light Wild Wheat, Black Dot Stampin' Blends.
The little branch that the bird is sitting on is also frontthe Country Birdhouse stamped 3 times in Crumb Cake then coloured with Cajun Craze watercolour pencil.
On the second panel I have again layered the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey DSP on the Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze and I have added a little bit of lined threat under the sentiments that I have stamped in Cajun craze and then cut out using the Changing Leaves dies.On the back I have decorated with more of the fabulous Thoughtful Journey DSP and Very Vanilla so your can write to the recipient.Of course when your card is all folded up it fits perfectly into our envelopes.I do hope you enjoyed this fun fold if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sharon, what a wonderful fancy fold to showcase the stunning Thoughtful Journeys DSP. The sentiments are so gorgeous and I love the addition of the little bird on the branch.
Fantastic fancy fold card Sharon, the Thoughtful Journey DSP make the perfect background for your leaves and the sweet little bird.
Leaves and birds - two of my favourite things to put on cards! Love how you coloured the solid leaf stamp with sponge daubers, Sharon; the effect is gorgeous. The addition of the sweet bird is a lovely choice. This fun fold is a great way to showcase beautiful papers. :)
What a great fun fold to showcase the patterned paper, I’ll be bookmarking this one! I love that leaf set but I am yet to use it, this has inspired me to crack it out.
What a great mix of products to create yet another fancy fold design. These papers are the perfect backdrop for your bird and leaves and I love how you stamped that image to create the branch, very clever. I cannot wait for my changing leaves bundle to arrive this week!
