Welcome to the Art with Heart teams Colour Creation Blog Hop for Tahitian Tide. We are now at the last of our very new In Colors for the new 2022-23 Annual Catalogue and what a lovely blue it is!
My daughter inspired my card this week. I have had the Bamboo Beauty for a while now and haven't made a card with it and I was determined to make a card. My daughter just loves Japan and the culture and the food and we were fortunate to do a 13 day tour which is way too short of Japan in 2019. There is so much to see and we will need to go back another time. One of the places we went was the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto it is a huge bamboo forest. I just had to get this stamp set when I saw it.
I have made a very simple layout for my card tonight taking a little inspiration from the Japanese flag if you will.
To start I used my blending brush with the Tahitian Tide ink and with a piece of Perfectly Penciled DSP (the one that looked the most bambooish LOL) I coloured it to a lovely shade of blue!
I cut the circle out with the new Stylish Shapes Dies. Love these dies and I recommend that you put these on your wish list if you haven't already done so!
Don't forget to stamp the inside of your card and as I am giving this to my daughter this sentiment was just perfect!
Now don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions would like to get the products to make this project or get your hands on the new Annual Catalogue!

Oh, I definitely do want those dies!! Your card is a wonderful reminder of your trip, and I'm sure that Sarah will love it!
I love that you drew inspiration from your treasured time in Japan, and from the Japanese flag, Sharon. The Tahitian Tide DSP circle looks fab, and I love the bamboo "embellishments". This card will be a hit with your girl, I'm sure (and, sorry to disappoint, I didn't use DSP or a masculine theme for my card this week! LOL).
I love those Stylish Shapes Dies too and what a stunning card motivated by your beautiful memories in Japan.
Sharon, I love how you have used these products to recreate memories of your special trip with your girl. The nod to the Japanese flag is so well done too!
Sarah sure will love this card, Sharon, it's just perfect for her. Those Stylish Shapes dies are a must have, I totally agree. Love that you used the Perfectly Penciled DSP and coloured it. Wonderful cherished memories of your girls trip!
Love the Bamboo stamp set, and bring your memories from Japan to life in your card is beautiful.
Sharon I am sure that Sarah will be grateful for the card you have made for her as a memento of your time spent in Japan.
A fabulous card Sharon and those bamboo look so lifelike as the colouring is superb. I love the Tahitian Tide circle die cut behind the bamboo.
