Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.
Well it is out penultimate Heart of Christmas blog hop so just 1 more to go for 2025 but don't worry we will be here next year for more Christmas inspiration and we are around each week as a team for our Color Creations Insta Hop so make sure you join us for that on a Wednesday if you haven't already.
Today I have for you a fun fold or fancy fold call it what you like really but it was inspired by Patty Bennett a Stampin' Up demonstrator in the US. She has called it a Triangle Twist Square Card. So I followed her instructions for the fold and base of the card and decorated how I wanted.
So the idea for the card is to use a 12 x 12 piece of the 2 Tone Card stock and then you can make 3 cards from that one sheet so I did!
Really simple to start: Score at 4 and 8 inches then turn a quarter turn and cut at 4 inches and 8 inches so you will end up with 3 strips. Then the 2 end you score on the diagonal.
For each card you will need 3 square of Designer Series Paper and I chose to use the Elegant Pine Snowflake DSP. When the card is folded up it will be a 4x4 inch square so you will need to make all your gorgeous pattern paper pieces smaller than that with the size border that you like.
You will cut the front piece and 1 inside piece on the diagonal and leave one as a square, this s where you can leave a place to write on or maybe do more stamping.
Now how did I create the front of each card.
Even though each card is square I thought I would see what it would look like if there were different shaped focal points. One is from the Branching out Dies, one the Spotlight on Nature Dis and the last is Stylish Shapes Dies. I have stamped each of them with the Branching out stamps. An Ealy Espresso branch, the leaves are Mossy Meadow and using the Rock N Roll Technique I have highlighted them with Pecan Pie which I have also stamped the pine Cones. I have then stamped the dots in versamark and heat embossed in white.
Using the blending brush I have used a very light covering at the bottom of Pretty Peacock then Lost Lagoon at the top. Once I had done this I used a soft cloth to wipe the ink off the embossed dots to help the snow to shine through. To help the pine cones lift I have added some highlights with a white Water Colour Pencil.
Each focal point tile was then layered with gold foil before adhering to the front of the card. As the card opens in half REMEMBER to only adhere to on side of the focal point so your card will open.
To add a little bit more decoration I have used the Branching out dies. A little bit of Mossy Meadow and
Old Olive for the greenery, Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party for the dotty berry branches and Gold Foil for the pine cones. A bow of Linen Thread to finish it all off.
The Sentiment is from the Traditional Labels Stamp set and i have split the sentiment in half by stamping and embossing one half then doing the other half before cutting them out using the Textured Notes Dies.
I am sorry not to bring you a video of the card opening this week but my creative consultant aka my daughter is enjoying a holiday so I don't have my assistant with me today, but I think you can work out how it opens and closes. I really like how each different shape turned out and I am not sure which one is my favourite, do you have a favourite shape?

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas 2025 and week 11. We have just 3 weeks left, where did the year go?!
Today I have created for you a Double Floating Tiered Box Card. I found this card design on Iced Images in the UK who got the idea from Sam Calcott.
I had only a little time to put this all together for as my creative consultant as I call my lovely daughter was getting ready for her trip of a lifetime with some friends to South Korea so this card I am letting the fancy fold and the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP.
For this card I have couldn't go past this gorgeous Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP is is absolutely beautiful and with this design it shines. For the sentiment in the center of the card I have used Traditional Labels.
For the base of the card I have used Cherry Cobbler Card and layered Pool Party before the Traditions of Christmas. Each box on the side is slightly bigger in length to give that tiered, almost Christmas Tree effect!
On the center of the card I have cut out a layer of Basic White with the Branches out Dies and Gold Heat embossed the sentiment "Christmas" and stamped "Merry" in Cherry Cobbler. This has been adhered straight to the layer of DSP. Using the Christmas Greenery Dies I cut out the floral image from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP and the Pool Party and Old Olive leaves to layer the flowers.
On the back of the card there is room to write.
And to fold the boxes one side and then other boxes in front and you will be able to get the card into a large envelope as this card is a 5x7 inch card. I would need to work out how to get it down to a 6x4 card which I didn't have time to do today.
Now is the time to head to the amazing Kate Morgan as she is the next person on our week 11 Heart of Christmas journey. Hit the next blog button and you will go straight there. I can't wait to see her wonderful creation this week.
Welcome to Week 4 of the Heart of Christmas for 2025. Each week on a Monday the Art with Heart team will bring you some Christmas inspiration to help you get all your Christmas cards, tags and decorations ready for Christmas.
This week I am using the Peaceful Garden suite and a quick fun fold for you!
For my card this week I have chosen the gorgeous Peaceful Garden Suite of Products as my inspiration and starting point. So all the wonderful papers, stamps, dies and embossing folders can be found starting on page 32 of the September - December 2025 Mini Catalogue.
I did however add the Damask Designs Embossing Folder to the base of the card as you can see in this photo. Here you will see one of the gorgeous DSP's from the Peaceful Garden DSP pack but you could change it to any design from the pack for this style of card. In fact this fun fold can be adapted to any occasion! So how do you make this card.
I cut the card base like a normal card base in Secret Sea card stock and folded in half. From the front of the card cut a strip off the right edge that is 1 1/4 inches or 3.2 cm that will be for your sentiment fold. On the front part that is left you can now emboss in what ever embossing folder is appropriate for your project! Cut a piece of card to fit the inside for writing and adhere. Stamp if you want to. I have stamped Peace on Earth. MAKE SURE you adhere your strip under this first after scoring at 4 1/8 inches or 10.5 cm this will give you plenty of space for a sentiment on the front and if you need to make is a little shorter you can cut it off.
Fold over your embossed front and now adhere a layer in my case Basic Beige and the gorgeous Peaceful Garden DSP to just the left side so that the card will open. the layers are 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 (8.9 x13.3 cm) for Basic Beige and 3 1/4 x 5 inches (8.3 x 12.7 cm) for the DSP
I have added a strip of Basic Beige to the fold over Secret Sea and stamped the sentiment. As I wanted to add the doves as a feature (you could also add a ribbon bow that matched your project) The sentiment was too long so I masked the words off while inking and stamp the long sentiment in two parts to created the double line.
I can see myself making lots of this fun fold as it displays the gorgeous DSP that Stampin' Up has and it is quick to make and you can make lots out of a pack of Designer Series Paper!
Now is the time to head to our next amazing team mate joining us for week 4 of the Heart of Christmas and this week you will be heading to the lovely Claire Daly, she inspires me all the time with her creations so I can't wait to see what she has for us this week. Hit the next blog button and you will go straight there.
Welcome to The Heart of Christmas for 2025. A group of very talented people from the Art with Heart Team will be joining each other over the next 13 weeks on a Monday night here in Australia to share with you the joy of Christmas through craft. It might be a card that you would like to make, table decorations, tree trimmings or how to decorated and package up those presents. So come along for the journey over the next 13 weeks right up until the end of November and you will have your Christmas all sorted and ready to go!
Today I will be using the new A Child is Born stamp set in the new September - December Mini which is available to everyone starting September 3rd!
Now this stamp set might be a little strange for people as there are no faces on the Nativity and animals but this reminds me of the Willow Tree figurines and I have a few of those.
For my card today I have made a fancy fold that I have slightly changed from a card that I made all the way back in 2021. If you would like to check that one out click here
In my card today I have a base of Misty Moonlight that is half of our A4 cut at 10.5 x 29.5 cm then folded in half and the half folded back on itself to get the stand. I have lined each of these surfaces with the gorgeous Peaceful Garden DSP 10 x 14.4 cm and then 2, 7 x 10 cm pieces.
For the focal point of the card I have a piece of Pecan Pie card which is 9.5 cm wide x 26.8 cm I folded and scored this in half and layered another gorgeous piece of the Peaceful Garden DSP on this at 12.5 x 9 cm.
On another piece of Pecan Pie I stamped the image of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in Early Espresso and then got out the Water Color Pencils pack #1. I used Early Espresso on Mary's hair and the staff, I also used Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Basic Gray on Joseph's Hair, for the skin colour I used a very pale application of Pecan Pie. As you can see I then coloured the figures in Basic White. I didn't blend them as to give them a carved look. The manger is coloured with Early Espresso and under the hay I have layered Daffodil Delight before cross hatching Pecan Pie to add texture. Oh and don't forget the bling on the star is from the Hues of Blues Flowers!
On the inside I also added the lamb and the cattle on a piece of Vanilla
The little lamb is coloured the same as our Nativity on the front and the cow or cattle has a layer of Basic Gray before Early Espresso with both having a face of Pecan Pie.
I hope you have enjoyed week 1 of the Heart of Christmas please come back next Monday to join us again and remember all these wonderful products go on sale with the September - December Mini Wednesday September 3rd!

Welcome to week 36 of our Colour Creations Blog hop.
I have been making a series of Baby Cards using the Cutest Onsies Bundle and I made them in September last year but I made them in 3 different colours so I could bring them to you over time with our Colour Creations Blog hop. One was Fresh Freesia, one Lemon Lolly and today Moody Mauve.
I created this card for our dear friend as her she was having her first baby and this was for the Baby Shower! By the time I made this card we had found out that she was having a baby girl! This card is an extension to a card I made last year which was called a Double Door Pop Up Card and you can find it here if you want to have a look at it.
For this card I have used Moody Mauve as the base of the card and layered with Soft Sea Foam, Gold Foil and the DSP is Wildly Flowering. I have used the White Diagonal Trim to tie the card together as it needs a little help with all the extra pop up as you will see.
There are a layer of Basic White cut out with the Spotlight on nature dies then another circle cut out with the spotlight on nature dies so I could adhere the White Bakers twine in between for a little clothes line. I have stamped and the Cutest Onsie on the Country Lace DSP and a piece of Petal Pink Pink card before die cutting them out with the Cutest Onsie Dies. I then embossed one with the Eyelet Embossing folder! The sentiment is stamped in Moody Mauve and I have used a die from the Something Fancy Dies to cut out the sentiment. See those cute clouds they are from the Adventurous Sky dies!
Now let's open the card!
As you can see it open's up and then keeps going! Again I have layered the inside with the same as the front but the door I have used Nature's Sweetness SDSP and Meandering Meadows DSP as the background of the pop up doors.
To decorate the inside of the card I have used the Petal Pink and and Soft sea Foam. I have used the Alphabet Al A Mode dies and the Cutest onsie Dies. The for the hearts the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Dies and Embossing Folder.
On the other door I have the same colouring and added Girl!
In the center after I completed the card I added another piece of Basic White to write my message to the expectant Mum!
The card is lots of fun to open. As you can see from this angle!
And from this angle as you are opening the card.
Here is a video of the card opening!
