Stampin' Up! - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 10 - Calypso Coral

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range. Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order. This week “Calypso Coral ” is up.

Tonight I have made 2 very quick note cards that I have cased from the annual catalogue to highlight this very beautiful colour calypso coral. If you look on page 205 of your Stampin’ Up Catalogue you will find the card that I have made for you tonight.

It is one of the “You Can Make It” projects in the catalogue.  You can order all the products you need to make this card with just one item number. How great is that?! You get the stamp set, the clear block, pack of note cards, memento pink pad, both stampin’ blends and solid bakers twine. Now you are ready to make 20 note cards and you didn’t have to worry about anything just put in 1 number. If you would like to see what the other “You Can Make It” projects are check out page 2 of the catalogue.

Here is the card in the catalogue from Stampin’ Up made with Lovely Lipstick which is just a beautiful pink colour!

So, for my cards I have used the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends both the light and the dark and for my second card I used the same stamp set and used the gorgeous flower and birthday sentiment and added a couple of more colours. Dark Daffodil Delight and both light and dark Call me Clover.

The Stampin’ Blends are so easy to use and give such a beautiful finish on your cardstock that you will just love them.

When stamping my images onto the note cards I used my Stamparatus to make sure that everything was lined up correctly as the note cards are small and also so I could re-stamp in the exact same position if I wanted the black memento ink to be a little darker. If you don't have a stamparatus yet you have got to get one. I just love it!

Ok I may have fibbed I have just put together another very quick card so make that 3 cards for tonight. These note cards are fast and with the Stampin' Blends they are just so lovely to colour with. Make sure you come back for our team blog on August 24th which is all about colouring techniques.

Well I used the host set Artfully Folded for my cheeky quick 3rd note card and the gorgeous Garden Impressions DSP with the Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to make this card.

This stamp set is /can be a 2 step stamp set with you having a solid image stamp in the set so you can stamp the colour of your cranes as well as the outline but tonight I decided to  use my Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to colour them in and I quite like them. What do you think? Plus the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper is quickly becoming one of my favourites this year!

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 3 - Bermuda Bay

Darling Label Punch Box, All The Good Things

Tonight, some of the ladies of the Art With Heart Team will be bringing you a blog hop featuring one of the gorgeous colours from the Stampin’ Up range.

Each week the lovely CathyProctor will be hosting the blog hop and we will be going through the colours in the range in alphabetical order.

This week “Bermuda Bay ” is up.

I have made 2 quite simple cards for you tonight as I wanted to show off the gorgeous colour of Bermuda Bay. The first I have combined the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper with the Darling Label Punch Box stamps and punch. The Second card I have used the All The Good things on water colour paper and used the Bermuda Bay as a water wash.

The Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper is just gorgeous, and you are going to love it. There are so many pretty designs that you can use to make quick easy cards and also full-size sheets for scrapbooking as well. Just beautiful.

I wanted to make a monochromatic card to detail the Bermuda Bay theme and just show you how quick and easy it was to put together a card using this paper.

I have stamped the Thinking of you from the Darling Label Punch Box in Bermuda Bay and with the punch that comes in the box punched it out and then another one in the Bermuda Bay just so I could give a little colour behind the tag. Popped that on some dimensional and with a little bit of ribbon from the Tea Room Combo Pack your card is finished. Quick and easy to make multiples of or if you are in a hurry and need to make a card.

The second card is a little more involved and I used the Stamparatus to help me to make sure I could add more ink if I thought I didn’t have quite enough ink on my image.

I really loved this stamp set All the Good Things when I saw it in the catalogue and so did my daughter so I just couldn’t wait to get it. It is one of the DistINKtive set of stamps that Stampin’ Up has exclusively designed.
All The Good Things

It really is gorgeous and I have stamped it on the water colour paper in stazon then added some crushed curry over the top with my sponge dauber just to give it a little more colour.  Then I used my aquapainter and picked up some of the Bermuda bay ink to wash around the Koi fish.
I wasn’t quite finished, I thought the fish needed a little bit more glam so I got my wink of stella glitter brush out and coloured over the fish to make them sparkle. Also I needed must one more little saying and I found that in the new hostess set Artfully Folded. “Be your own kind of Beautiful” I just love this set too and this sentiment! I have used the same ribbon as I did on the first card as it is just beautiful and added some extra bling with the clear rhinestones.
All The Good Things

On the inside of the card I have stamped the Koi fish on plan whisper which and I think you can see the detail so much clearer than on the water colour paper. I have stamped it in crushed curry and then added a little bit of pumpkin pie blend pen to the more solid part of the rubber and stamped again to give the darker colour in the koi fish.

Both cards were quick to make with just a little bit of water wash technique in the second card so a little bit extra time needed. If you would like any help in making these cards or ordering supplies to make them don’t hesitate to contact me.
