Heart of Christmas - Week 10 - 2024

 

Welcome to this week 10 of the Heart of Christmas for 2024. I have a new stamp set for you today that I haven't used before and I wanted to get it out and give it a little bit of a try.

I love lanterns and so does my daughter so this was one of the stamp sets that I had to get and play with out of our Sept-Dec Mini this year.  For the card base I have used Pebbled Path and layered with Pecan Pie and then used the gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP before adding all the decorations.

I have stamped the lantern in Pebbled Path from the Light the Year stamp set on Basic White then added the candle stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured the flame with Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend and the glow in the light blend. The Pine Cones are Stamped in Pecan Pie and Early Espresso and I really love how they turned out. I have die cut some leaves from the dies in Mossy Meadow and the fussy cut the sprigs of pine from the Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP. To Finish off the arrangement before adding the gold embossed sentiment I have added a Poinsettia from the A Little Bit Festive Mix and Match Specialty DSP.

I have gold embossed one more sentiment on the inside of the card and layered with Pecan Pie to match the front.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 3 - 2024-25 - Pretty In Pink

 

Welcome to week 3 of Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2024 - 25! This week we are bringing back a lovely pink colour - Pretty In Pink!

I have gone super simple this week! I know you would have thought after all that busy and craziness of the last few weeks I would keep it going with the fancy folds but no this week I am going simple!

We all need a quick card to make and this one is as quick as they come. So quick I made 6! You can make them as a set and give away or keep them for yourself to use when you need a card!

Ok, you are asking "Why, Sharon, why did you make 6?" Well there are 6 sentiments with the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set of course so I just had to. The card design is a quick CASE (copy and share everything) of a 2020 poppy card by Brian King)

My card base is Pretty In Pink card base and then unlike Brian I have a layer of Designer Series Paper. I have used the 4 designs of the InColor 2024-26 DSP and then as I needed another 2 to complete my 6 because of the 6 sentiments I went looking and I found 2 more with the Lilly Pond Lane DSP. 

Here are the 4 InColor designs and the sentiments I used and of course the piece of DSP left over I adhered to the envelope flap so each card has their own envelope.

Here are the 2 Lilly Pond Lane designs that are on the back of the some really cute duck and pond scenes. For the sentiments I have stamped them in Basic Gray and cut them out using either the Deckled Rectangle or Circle Dies.

For the focal point of the card I have stamped the little stamp of 5 flowers over and over again in a row and coloured them using the Stampin' Blends. I have used Light and Dark Pretty In Pink on the flower petals and Light Pretty Peacock and Light Lost Lagoon on the leaves. Then the strip of flowers was layered on a piece of Basic Black and adhered to the center of the card front before adhering the sentiments on dimensionals.

There you have it 6 super quick cards that can be given as a gift set or kept to be used when you need to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 42 - Pretty Peacock

 

Welcome to Pretty Peacock week of the Colour Creations Blog Hop!

This week I have used the Notes of Nature Bundle to create my card. 

I just love all the texture you can create with layering the stamps over each other in the same colour and that is what I have done with one of my layers this week but first what is my colour combination this week!

This is the colour combination that I have used in my card this week:

 

After embossing a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder which I simple love and adhering that to a Crumb Cake card base, I took another piece of crumb cake and with crumb cake ink I used the leaf, the dots and the ledger looking stamps and stamped over that card the using the Paper Whole die I suppose you could call it. I die cut the the edge and  then added a bit of crumb cake ink to the edge of the card. On a piece of Very Vanilla Card I stamped the Filed Notes stamp in Crumb cake and edged that with a little crumb cake in as well. Then I die cut the leaves in Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon and added a Lined thread bow. To finish the card I stamped the Birthday sentiment from the Notes of Nature stamp set in Pretty Peacock and cut it out with the Deckled Rectangle Dies.

Colour Creation Blog Hop - Week 41 - Poppy Parade

 

Welcome to the Art With Heart Colour Creation Blog Hop for Week 41. This week the team is looking at the red colour of Poppy Parade!

 I have had quite a few weeks off from the blog hop but I am going to try and get back to sharing with you.

Today I have broken out my stamping blends and the Stipple Rose, I know I am a bit late to the party but I have not been crafting much over the past couple of months so I am now back at it and I thought I would start slowly and not do a fancy fold and get my mojo back by doing a bit of colouring!

This is the colour combinations that I have used in my colouring of this gorgeous Stippled Rose stamp!

I started by stamping the large Stippled Rose in Memento Black ink as I was using the Poppy Parade Blends, if I was using a lighter and less vibrant colour I might have stamped the rose in Smokey Slate. I then took the Dark Poppy Parade Blends and coloured around the base of the petals and where the darker ink is of the rose has been stamped. I then used the Light Poppy Parade to colour over the dark and our a little further. Finally I used the Dark Petal Pink to add a light to the petals on the roses!

Similarly to the flowers I have coloured the leaves the same by using Dark and Light Mossy Meadow and Dark and Light Old Olive. 

I had stamped the image on Basic White card stock but I thought to make it look a little bit more "Antique" I would layer it on a the base of Very Vanilla that I have embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder. I have then cut out some leaves using the Stippled Rose dies to go under the die cut out focal point of the coloured Rose. The Sentiment from the Stippled Rose is cut out using the Deckled Rectangle dies!

Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 23 - Flirty Flamingo

 

Welcome to this weeks colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are looking at the colour Flirty Flamingo. 

I always think of my friend when I see this colour or hear the name as she loves Flamingos.

For my project today I have made a Triple Easel Card. I have used the Deckled Circle Dies to create each of the sections of the card. I used Flirty Flamingo as the card base and folded it in half and had the deckled circle just slightly off the edged of the fold so that the 2 circles that I cut out were still slightly joined. I then folded the top circle in half to create the easel.

I created 3 different sizes of circles and layered each circle with the gorgeous Hello Irresistible DSP as it has the beautiful colours of Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea foam and Lost Lagoon that I a using for my colour palette today. I cut those out with the layer smaller to the one I made the easel in Flirty Flamingo card for the base.

For the decorations on each of the sections I have stamped the flowers from the Dainty Delight and I have coloured them with the Stampin Blends. I used the  Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light and Dark Soft Sea Foam, Light Lost Lagoon and Light Wild Wheat. I then die cut them out using the Dainty Delight dies and using the dies cut out some leaves in Soft Sea Foam and Dainty Delight and to make the stopper for the front easel I cut flowers out of Flirty Flamingo.

I popped the flowers up on dimensionals for the stopper of the front easel. Each easel is the stopper for the one behind it. I stamped the Sentiment in Flirty Flamingo and used the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut it out. Layered it up and popped it up with dimensionals. Of course you have to add a bow and some bling. 

This all folds down flat and you will have to make an envelope to give it to that special someone.

Colour Creations Blog Hop - 2023-2024 - Week 22 - Early Espresso

 

Welcome to week 22 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop for 2023-2024. This week we are looking at a Neutral colour - Early Espresso!

I know I have said the last couple of fancy folds that I have done have been easy well today this one is not as easy! It is a hexagon pop up box card! Well I think that is what we will call it.

Well you might be saying that doesn't look like a hexagon. Well no it is a circle but the bottom is. I have used the Happy Birthday from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set for the sentiment and it is stamped in Early Espresso. So how is this card put together, I hear you ask?

The base of the card is made up of 2 lengths joined together to form the hexagon. I have decorated 1 half with Rose Gold Specialty foil Paper and then used the gorgeous Inked Botanicals DSP over the top. On the second half some basic white so you can write your message.

In the centre of the of the hexagon I have made some paper springs so that after you have laid the card flat for packaging it will pop open. 

The middle section joins the hexagon together and is also where I attach the focal point.

For my focal point I have used the Deckled Circle Dies and layered the Early Espresso, Rose Gold and Inked Botanicals before getting out the Paper Florist Dies. I have chosen to make the flowers in Early  Espresso with Wild Wheat centre, Crumb Cake, and Pecan Pie, a flower out of the Inked Botanicals on the end of the Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam I have Copper Clay flowers buds.

It was quite a fun card to make and the hardest part is the springs in the middle.

It does fold flat so you can make a box or envelope to go around it to give to that special someone.
