Welcome to this week 10 of the Heart of Christmas for 2024. I have a new stamp set for you today that I haven't used before and I wanted to get it out and give it a little bit of a try.
Rhapsody in craft, #rhapsodyincraft, Heart of Christmas, #heartofchristmas, Light the year, #lighttheyearstampset, Light the year dies, Deckled rectangle dies, Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP, A Little Bit Festive Mix and Match SDSP, Christmas Card, Christmas, Stampin' Up!, Art with Heart, #artwithheart, #stampinup, #lovitchopit
I love lanterns and so does my daughter so this was one of the stamp sets that I had to get and play with out of our Sept-Dec Mini this year.  For the card base I have used Pebbled Path and layered with Pecan Pie and then used the gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP before adding all the decorations.

I have stamped the lantern in Pebbled Path from the Light the Year stamp set on Basic White then added the candle stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured the flame with Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend and the glow in the light blend. The Pine Cones are Stamped in Pecan Pie and Early Espresso and I really love how they turned out. I have die cut some leaves from the dies in Mossy Meadow and the fussy cut the sprigs of pine from the Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP. To Finish off the arrangement before adding the gold embossed sentiment I have added a Poinsettia from the A Little Bit Festive Mix and Match Specialty DSP.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 14

Hello my crafty friends, it is week 14 of the Heart of Christmas and it is my privilege to host our Christmas blog hop this evening. So grab a cuppa and hop along with the talented team of ladies tonight for some fantastic Christmas inspiration.

Tonight I have wanted to get some ink on this stamp set for a while so I just had to do it tonight.
God's Peace,Christmas Cards, Brightly Gleaming DSP, Beautiful Boughs Dies, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Rhapsody in craft,Stampin' Up, Heart of Christmas

I have made 2 cards for you tonight using the God's Peace card set and have just slightly adjusted where I have put the images for a little bit of a different layout for both cards and both are really simple to do. All you need is your die cutting machine, Stampin' blends, God's Peace stamp set and away you go!

For the first card I chose to half case it from the Holiday catalogue that used the Beautiful Boughs Dies with this stamp set. I cut out some of the lovely small branches in mossy meadow to go under the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Celestial Copper Delicata ink and cut out with the stitched rectangle dies and popped it up on dimensionals But how did I make the background?

God's Peace, Beautiful Boughs Dies, Brightly Gleaming SDPS, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin' Up, #loveitchopit, Heart of Christmas

For the main image of the card I stamped the scripture verse in smokey slate at the top of the whisper white card layer and then again in smokey slate the gorgeous image of the candles and the poinsettia. I then got out my blends and had some fun. I used the dark and light Old Olive, dark and light Cherry Cobbler, dark and light Daffodil delight and to get the little light glow around the flame I used the colour lifter blend pen. For the ribbon I used the celestial copper ink with a blender pen. The center of the poinsettia is the gold glitter enamel dot from the Christmastime is here suite.

God's Peace, Christmas Cards, Beautiful Boughs dies, Brightly gleaming DSP, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Blends, Rhapsody in craft, #loveitchopit, Heart of Christmas

I have popped all of this on a base card of cherry cobbler and a layer of gorgeous glittery copper and mossy meadow DSP from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP pack.

For my second card it is even more simple to stamp and put together.
God's Peace, Brightly Gleaming DPS, Stitched shaped framelits, 2019 holiday catalogue, #loveitchopit, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin' Up, Christmas cards
I have again on a piece of whisper white card stock stamped the scripture verse from the stamp set God's Peace at the top right hand side of the card and then instead of overlapping the candle image I have stamped it to the bottom left. Again both in Smokey slate.  I have coloured the image exactly the same way but this time I have used the golden Glitz Ink for the ribbon with my blender pen.

God's Peace, Brightly Gleaming DSP, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, #loveitchopit, Stampin' Up

I have stamped the sentiment found in the Goldent Glitz ink and cut it out with the stitched shape framelit dies and then cut a scalloped circle out in gold foil with the layering circle dies and popped them up on some dimensionals. I have added a bit more bling with the gold glimmer enamel dots from the Christmastime is here Suite this time and layered it all on the gorgeous glittering copper DSP from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. Copper and Gold go so well together!

I hope you have enjoyed my slightly different cards using this lovely stamp set. why not give them a go and you can change up the card colour and base with whatever colour is your favourite.

Please now hop along with the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team, I am looking forward to seeing what they will inspire me with this week.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 9

Welcome to week 9 of the Heart of Christmas. I hope you are having fun hopping along with us each week. I am having fun making cards each week.

Tonight I have used #ELFIE for a really quick card as things have been a little crazy in my house this week.
#Elfie, #ELFIE, Rhapsodyincraft, Heart of Christmas, Christmas Cards, Let it snow DSP, Classi Label Punch, Stampin' Up, Heart of Christmas

For this card I have used the stampin' blends to colour in the little elves just quite minimal as sometimes less is more.  In my house I think they think more is more! I stamped them in memento black ink and then used the stitched shaped framelits to cut them out.
#Elfie, #ELFIE, Christmas Cards, Rhapsodyincraft, Rhapsody in craft, Let it snow DSP, Classic label punch, Heart of Christmas, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Up

The gorgeous DSP  is the Let is Snow Specialty Designers Series Paper and has the lovely coastal cabana colour so that is what I have layered behind it and then put on the base card of real red card stock. The sentiment is also from #ELFIE and I have used the classic label punch to cut it out.  They are backed with scalloped real red layering square and circle layering dies. The very gorgeous Toile Tidings Glitter enamel dots just finish off this card perfectly.

I know it wasn't Mr. Morris the Merry Moose this week but I think these fun playful elves are just gorgeous!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would also like to play with these elves. You won't be disappointed!

No head on over to the lovely Claire Daly's Blog and see the list of ladies participating in the hop tonight and get some more great Christmas inspiration.

Thank you for spending some time with me today,
Take Care,

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 7

Tonight for week 7 of the Heart of Christmas I have my naughty Mr Morris the Merry Moose for you.  To continue our series of Merry Moose cards, yes I know you didn't think there were so many cards you could get from a moose stamp set but there are and I have still one for you next week. Stay tuned!

So why is Mr Morris the Moose naughty? Well he decided that everyone was having so much fun in the village the he wanted to go see what was happening!

Merry Moose, Hammered Metal, Wrapped in Plaid, Christmas Cards, Merry Moose Punch, Rhapsody in craft, heart of Christmas, Stampin' Up, 2019 Holiday Catalogue,
Ok Sharon what are you talking about? See the gorgeous gold foil behind the stitched shaped circle die.  I have used the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and instead of having the impression indented so it looks hammered, I have it raised so it looks like cobble stones. OH! Now I know what crazy story you are telling Sharon! The naughty Mr Morris Merry Moose is walking on the cobble stones in the village to join in all the Christmas fun!

Merry Moose, Merry Moose Punch, Christmas Cards, Wrapped in plaid DSP, Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, Rhapsody in craft, Heart of Christmas, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Up
So for this fun card you will need the Merry Moose Stamp set and Moose punch and you can buy them in a bundle to save 10%, plus the hammered metal 3D embossing folder. Wrapped in plaid Specialy DSP and the Stiched Shaped framelit dies. I have again this week stamped the gorgeous trees in Shaded Spruces behind our moose in the ink once and stamp 3 times. I stamped the scarf in cherry cobbler and cut it out with paper snips. The moose is stamped in crumb cake and then outline stamped in soft suede before being punched and the Happiest of Holidays is stamped in Memento black ink on the strip of cherry cobbler.

This is a fun quick card to make so I hope you have a try!

No please hop on over to lovely Claire Daly to find out the list of the other participants in week 7 of the Heart of Christmas and to find more inspiration for your Christmas cards and decorations this year.

If you have any questions or would like some of the products used in the cards tonight to make your own naughty Mr Merry Moose please don't hesitate to contact me.

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 5

Toile Christmas, Christmas Cardinal Dies, Toile Tidings DSP, Christmas Card, Rhaspdoy in Craft, Stampin Up, Art with heart

Welcome to week 5 of the Heart of Christmas. Don't you just love Christmas? I do! I am enjoying making these cards each week so I hope you are enjoying hoping along with everyone of the ladies each week too!

Tonight I have chosen to use the beautiful Toile Christmas Stamp Set and the Christmas Cardinal Die Bundle. I just love birds and sitting looking out my window as I work I get to see beautiful King parrots, rosellas, red and yellow wattle birds, kookaburras just to name a few that I am blessed with on a nearly daily basis. I live in a gorgeous part of the world.

Toile Christmas, Christmas Cardinal Die, Toile Tidings DSP, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Christmas Cards, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with heart, Stampin' Up.

For this card I have used a garden green base and cut some of the gorgeous Toile Tidings DSP to go over the base and then softened it slightly with some vellum. I added a strip of double stitched garden green ribbon to the DSP and Vellum layer before adhering to the card base. I have a little rectangle layer over this and I have stamped in Soft Suede bot the branch and the verse that come with this lovely Toile Christmas stamp set on  the very vanilla card stock. I adhered this straight to the front of the card with snail.  I then cut out the larges stitched shape circle and stamped the branch again in very vanilla and popped it up on some dimensionals.  The beautiful bright red cardinal is stamped in memento black ink and cut out with the Christmas cardinal dies and then I used my Stampin' Blends to colour him in. I used light and dark Real Red and Soft Suede and light Crumb cake.  Christmas wishes is also stamped in Soft Suede and there is a die in the Christmas Cardinal Dies to cut it out as well. So good to have matching dies as it makes it so easy to make a quick card. I popped the cardinal on some dimensionals and the Christmas wishes too. There your card is done. Quick and easy and fun to make.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like any information on how to make this card or to purchase your supplies.

Please now head over to my dear friends Claire Daly's Blog as she is our host for tonight's Heart of Christmas blog hop and see all the other Christmas inspiration this week.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 4

Wow the year is just flying along. Can you believe we are at week 4 already. Ssh! it will be Christmas before you know it.

Well tonight I have made a really quick card as I am in preparation for my daughter's 18th in 2 days and we are having a murder mystery dinner  party so we are in full swing organisation mode for that.

My card tonight feature the Merry Moose stamp set but this time no moose! I know what could I be thinking. I wanted you to see that you can make a gorgeous elegant card using other stamps in the set without using the moose if you so choose.
Merry Moose, Rhapsody in Craft, Christmas Cards, Night before Christmas DSP, Come together Ribbon, Hammered Metal, Stampin' Up, 2019 Holiday Catalogue

I have chosen the gorgeous colour of crumb cake and the beautiful ribbon from the come together combo pack and it is just so soft and gorgeous to touch and feel. You need to get some and just hold it and tie bows with it!
Merry Moose, Rhapsody in Craft, Come together ribbon, night before Christmas dsp, Hammered metal, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Up, Christmas cards

I have cut out a crumb cake, very vanilla and a polka dot circle using the stitched shape dies and I have stamped the images from the Merry Moose stamp set in Memento ink. You could choose to do it in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso or even soft suede, but if you only had black ink I wanted to show you that it works well. I have backed them in vellum circles cut from the layering circle dies. These were all popped up on dimensionals

The tree is topped with a copper star designer element to match the copper foil layer that I have embossed with the new hammered metal 3D embossing folder. The DSP comes from the Night Before Christmas DSP, I am just loving this pattern in that stack of gorgeous Christmas DSP.
Merry Moose, Crumb Cake, Christmas Cards, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Hammered Metal, Heart of Christmas, Night before Christmas DSP, Come together ribbon, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin Up

I hope you have liked this idea of using the other stamps in the Merry Moose stamp set to make a different card other than a moose card and that you like the more mooted non-traditional colours for a Christmas card.

As always don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this card or any of your stamping up needs, I will be happy to help.

Now please head over to my lovely friend Claire Daly's Blog as she is hosting our hop tonight.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me tonight, now I am off to do some more preparations for murder mystery party. How good was it that Sarah's Birthday fell on Friday the 13th and she loves playing Cluedo?  Take Care,

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 3

Tonight for the Heart of Christmas I have decided to use the gorgeous Christmas Gleaming Bundle. This includes the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the Gleaming Ornaments punch pack. I have also used the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP!
Christmas Gleaming, Brightly Gleaming, Come to Gather, Rhapsody in craft, Christmas cards, Heart of Christmas, Stampin' Up

This is a great Bundle as you get 2 punches and who doesn't like punches.

Christmas Gleaming, Brightly Gleaming, Come to gather, Christmas Card, Heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin' Up, Art with heart

I made the card to open by flipping it up rather than the normal opening of cards and I have used the Thick Very Vanilla card stock as my base as that is one of the colours in the gorgeous DSP.

Brightly Gleaming, Christmas Gleaming, Come to Gather, Christmas Cards, Rhapsody in craft, Heart of Christmas, Art with heart, Stampin' Up

I have stamped Merry Christmas and Deck the halls from the stamp set in Memento ink. Deck the halls has been cut out with the stitched shaped dies and backed with a 2 inch punch of DSP and then the starburst punch of Night of navy card stock. The little strips of the gorgeous DSP are all mounted on a piece of Night of Navy DSP. I have also punched out an ornament using the new Gleaming Ornament Punch and then a little bit with copper foil to top it off. Now our holly was stamped on very vanilla and coloured in with our lovely Stampin' Blends and hand cut out. The woodgrain DSP is also from a new DSP paper pack in the New Holiday Catalogue and it I chose it because we are decking the halls. It comes from the Come to Gather DSP.

Thanks for joining me today now my lovely friend Judy May is hosting our Heart of Christmas hop tonight so please hop on over to her blog for the list of participants and see all the Christmas inspiration this week.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like information on creating this card or if you would like a copy of the New Holiday catalogue or any of your Stampin' Up needs.

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 2

Tonight, the Heart with Art team are bringing you week number 2 of the Heart of Christmas and I have used the lovely little stamp set Beauty and Joy. It is quite a versatile set and you can use it for more that just Christmas. Everyday encouragement, thank you, and in every season as you can custom colour the leaves.
Beauty & Joy, Beauty and Joy, Night Before Christmas DSP, Christmas Card, Heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with Heart

I have been on a real bent to use my designer series paper at the moment. I have quite a lot and it is all so gorgeous that I just want to stop being a hoarder and use it. (My Nanna was a hoarder so it must be in the genes, ssh, don't tell my Dad I let on!) So I am determined not to be a hoarder any more! Now to not be a hoarder of the gorgeous ribbon as well! 😁
Beauty & Joy, Beauty and Joy, Christmas Cards, Night Before Christmas, Heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with Heart

I have used crumb cake as my base card and the neutrals DSP pack for the background , you could say that the dots were all the snow falling if you live in the northern hemisphere for Christmas. The beautiful strip behind the Christmas tree is from the new Night Before Christmas 6x6 Designer Series Paper and I just love this design. I have added Cherry Cobbler as the little pop of colour so the gorgeous paper stands out.

Beauty and Joy, Beauty & Joy, Night Before Christmas DSP, Rhapsody in Craft,Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas

Here is a close up of this gorgeous tree, Now if you live in a small space or in an apartment like we did when we lived in the New York this kind of Christmas tree would have been just perfect in our limited space. How beautiful are the distinktive stamps? You can see the movement in the leaves and the weaving and wear on the basket. Such wonderful life like stamps that Stampin' Up! are now bring out to us and this makes it so easy to just ink and stamp in one simple step and get a gorgeous card.

I have used the copper Star Designer Elements to top off our Christmas tree and our basic rhinestone jewels to add some bling to our tree. All Christmas Trees need bling even those that are for tiny apartments. I have cut them out using the layering Ovals but you could use the new nested stitches shapes too for another great look!

Contact me for any details about this card if you would like the new Holiday Catalogue which features this stamp set or any of your Stampin' Up! needs.

Please now hop on over to my dear friend Claire Daly who is our team leader and who hosts our weekly Heart of Christmas blog hops to find the list of the team ladies who are participating this week for more Christmas inspirations.

Thanks so much for spending some time with me today, take care

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 1

Merry Christmas To All, Let it snow DSP, Heart of Christmas, Holiday Catalogue 2019, Rhapsody in Craft

How exciting this is the first week of the Heart of Christmas for 2019. I love Christmas and love making Christmas cards.

Each week  on a Wednesday until the end of November the Art with Heart team will be bringing to you some Christmas inspiration for you to try at home.

As it is still quite cool in Melbourne and we are still getting some cold weather I thought I would use the gorgeous Let it snow speciality DSP from the new Holiday Catalogue for my card and it will be available on September 4th. So get your wish list started.

Merry Christmas to all, Let it snow DSP, Christmas Cards, Heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in Craft, Holiday Catalogue 2019

This card is really easy to make and I thought I would give you an idea of what to do when you have made all your other cards with your lovely Designer Series paper. Keep this one in mind. You will have little strips left over. Make a card like this! I have used Real Red and Shaded Spruce for the card base, and then used the layering circle dies for the sentiment. Now of course I have combined both the Annual Catalogue and the New Catalogue in this card as the Merry Christmas is from the stamp set Merry Christmas to All in the Annual Catalogue and the ribbon is the Real Red Cotton Ribbon from the annual catalogue as well as I wanted the 1 cm ribbon for this card not the gorgeous wider ribbon in the new Holiday catalogue but you might want a wider ribbon. You chose!

Now don't forget all cards need a bit of bling and the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots from the New Holiday catalogue are just the perfect thing to have for all of your Christmas projects.

Thanks for spending some time with me this week and make sure you head over to my dear friend Claire Daly who is our team leader and who is hosting our Heart of Christmas blog hops to find the list of those participating.

If you would like a copy of the New Holiday catalogue or instructions on how to make this card please don't hesitate to contact me.
