Week 43 - Colour Creations Showcase - "Terracotta Tile"

This week we are taking a slight deviation from our alphabetical order to showcase Terracotta Tile as it is retiring soon so we wanted to make sure you got to see it before it retires one more time.

Week 43 Terracotta Tile

So this week I have made and remade this card. I couldn't quite get it to the way I liked it and I kept editing it until I worked out until it I felt happy with it. I put things on, I took things off, completely changed what I was doing. Have you ever done that with a card? So in the end I made a completely different card than what I had in my head in the first place but that is ok. It is fun to explore different things. In the end I took my daughter for a driving lesson as she has just passed her learners licence and then came back and finished my card.  Maybe the stress of someone only having driven for a couple of hours so far helped clear my head. HEHE!

For some reason I have been drawn to Basic Black as my card base of late so again this week I have again used it to make all the other gorgeous colours pop on the card. I thought I would use the Many Messages stamp set along with the Messages die. Confessions first time I had used this bundle but excited that it is not retiring. I love sentiment stamps. So I thought I would ink up the whole stamp and cut out all the sentiments and have them all ready to go for another card.

I actually started the card with the Basic White card that you see here and used the Ornate Border Die on it and put it up against the Terracotta Tile Card stock and then build my card around that front panel. I wanted to have that gorgeous terracotta come through the striking white. When I managed to get a great bow in the Terracotta Tile scalloped linen ribbon around the layers of the panel it wasn't moving from that spot that was for sure. I popped that panel up on dimensionals on top of the Ornate Garden DSP which has Terracotta Tile as one of its colours.

I have also decorated the inside of the card and I have started making more of my cards opening and standing this way when they are not a fancy fold. I think some people like to call them a hamburger fold. I don't know anyway, isn't it funny how you just all of a sudden just start making things in a certain way!

Rhapsody in craft, Terracotta Tile, Ornate Garden, DSP, Ornate Border Dies, Many Messages, Messages Dies, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up, #colourcreationsshowcase, #loveitchopit

So on the inside I used one of the other sentiments that I cut out and had stamped from the Many Messages and Messages Dies and backed it with Terracotta tile card and then the Ornate Garden DSP and have it running down the side of the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 10

Tonight, for week 10 of the Heart of Christmas I will be bringing to you another card from the gorgeous Toile Tidings stamp set and Christmas Cardinal dies. I brought you a card a few weeks ago but thought I would go back and do a little series using this stamp set and dies.

Today is such a beautiful day in Melbourne but as in springtime we will be back in the cold weather again by the weekend. I quite like the warm part of spring weather not the up down nature of it. So grab a cuppa and have fun hopping along with the team tonight!

Well my card this week I tried to use a lot of the elements of the Toile tidings suite that can be found starting on page 5 of the 2019 Holiday catalogue.
Toile Christmas, Toile Tidings DSP, Christmas Cardinals Dies, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Christmas Cards, Stampin' Blends, Christmas, Stampin' Up, Rhapsody in craft, Art with Heart

I have used Thick Very Vanilla as the card base and layered basic grey over the top and another layer off normal very vanilla. In the top very vanilla layer, I have used the swirl dies in the Christmas Cardinal die set to cut out a pretty border then placed a piece of the Toile Tidings DSP right up close.
Toile Christams, Toile Tidings DSP, Christmas Cardinal Dies, Stampin' Blends, Christmas Cards, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Toile Tidings DSP, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart, Stampin' Up!
I have used a strip of Basic grey right down the center of the card with a piece Garden Green Double Stitched ribbon.

In this lovely stamp set you not only get the gorgeous cardinal but the lovely branches as well and I have stamped the largest branch on very vanilla in soft suede and cut it out with the dies. I have also cut the large branch out with the in vellum to soften the look. I have cut the smaller branches out in soft suede, garden green, and vellum to go under the gorgeous male red Cardinal.

To colour the cardinal, I have used the Stampin’ Blends, light and dark real red and light and dark soft suede after stamping him in black memento ink! He is such a beautiful bird to colour and I love that we have a die to cut him out with. I have popped him up on some dimensionals.

I have stamped the sentiment in Soft suede from the stamp set and the die set cuts this out as well. It is such a great set to have and if you buy it in a bundle you save 10% so I would highly recommend you do that if you can. Buy in bundles!

Thank you for spending some time with me today now please jump on over to our host the lovely Claire Daly to see who else is hopping along tonight.

Don't forget that the amazing 15% off sale is on until 11:50 p.m. tonight AET. Just click on the picture to go directly to my online store to shop the stamp sale and get your bargains! Who doesn't love a bargain? I know I do!

Tonight for week 7 of the Heart of Christmas I have my naughty Mr Morris the Merry Moose for you.  To continue our series of Merry Moose cards, yes I know you didn't think there were so many cards you could get from a moose stamp set but there are and I have still one for you next week. Merry Moose, Hammered Metal, Wrapped in Plaid, Christmas Cards, Merry Moose Punch, Rhapsody in craft, heart of Christmas, Stampin' Up, 2019 Holiday Catalogue,
Ok Sharon what are you talking about? See the gorgeous gold foil behind the stitched shaped circle die.  I have used the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and instead of having the impression indented so it looks hammered, I have it raised so it looks like cobble stones. OH! Now I know what crazy story you are telling Sharon! The naughty Mr Morris Merry Moose is walking on the cobble stones in the village to join in all the Christmas fun!

Merry Moose, Merry Moose Punch, Christmas Cards, Wrapped in plaid DSP, Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, Rhapsody in craft, Heart of Christmas, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Up
So for this fun card you will need the Merry Moose Stamp set and Moose punch and you can buy them in a bundle to save 10%, plus the hammered metal 3D embossing folder. Wrapped in plaid Specialy DSP and the Stiched Shaped framelit dies. I have again this week stamped the gorgeous trees in Shaded Spruces behind our moose in the ink once and stamp 3 times. I stamped the scarf in cherry cobbler and cut it out with paper snips. The moose is stamped in crumb cake and then outline stamped in soft suede before being punched and the Happiest of Holidays is stamped in Memento black ink on the strip of cherry cobbler.

This is a fun quick card to make so I hope you have a try!

No please hop on over to lovely Claire Daly to find out the list of the other participants in week 7 of the Heart of Christmas and to find more inspiration for your Christmas cards and decorations this year.

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing amazing projects featuring Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, most of which is in the current promotions where you can buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper and receive a pack for free! Only available until the 30th of September.

For more information about the promotion, contact any of the ladies on the blog hop and we will be happy to help you.

I have a very special birthday card for you tonight using the Perennial Essence DSP. I know you have been missing my fancy fold obsession so tonight I bring you the Ultimate Pop-Up Card! I found this design by a lady called Sam on mixedupcraft and I thought this would be perfect for our friends daughter's 18th Birthday card. She loves pink and I thought this would be a great surprise card for her. Mind you I haven't made a card for my daughter who just turned 18 Oh dear too busy making lanterns and cake lace for her cake!

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, Perennial Essence DPS, Birthday Card, Fancy Fold, Ultimate Pop-up Card, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin' Up, Art with heart

For this card I used the very cute girly bundle I would say of Wish for it all Stamp set and Doily Wishes which you can bundle together and get a 10% savings. Ok now you are saying this looks like a card that is more like an envelope of box to put things in. Well it does kind of look that way but wait!

Open the flap. I have secured the flap with velcro dots. You could also use magnets if you wish.

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, fancy fold, ultimate pop-up card, birthday card, rhapsody in craft, stampin' up, perennial essence DSP, Art with Heart

As you can see it explodes into this big beautiful fan and birthday cake!
Wish for it all, Doily wishes, Perennial Essence DSP, fancy fold, birthday card, Rhapsody in craft, ultimate pop-up card, stampin' up, art with heart

The sides are just as beautiful as this Perennial Essence DSP is gorgeous on both sides.

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, birthday card, fancy fold, ultimate pop-up, rhapsody in craft, stampin' up, art with heart

For the inside of the card after I had made the pop-up tiers I layered them with the perennial essence dsp and stamped the cake from the stamp set twice in Rococo Rose as it is a 4 layer cake and cut it up to go on my tiers. I used the candle die from the Doily dies and added the center of one of the flowers behind the flame to make it look like it was flickering.

If there isn't enough room for you to write around the greeting you can always write on the back of the card as that is also a white space,

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, my friend and the very talented Kate Morgan.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the participants below:

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 6

Merry Moose, Merry Moose Punch, Wrapped in Plaid DSP, Real Red Curly Ribbon, Christmas Cards, Stampin' Up, Rhapsody in Craft, ARt with heart, Heart of Christmas

Welcome to week 6 of the Heart of Christmas. I am loving this weekly hop as I am getting through my Christmas card making. This week I will bring you another in my series of Merry Moose Cards. There is so much you can do with this stamp set.

Merry Moose, Merry Moose Punch, Wrapped in Plaid DSP, Real Red Curly Ribbon, Christmas Cards, Stampin' Up, Rhapsody in craft, Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas

This week I have stamped the cute Christmas tree is shaded spruce 3 times on the edge of the Whisper White card stock without reinking the stamp. I did this also on the round stitched shaped circle die cut out behind the moose. The gorgeous moose is stamped in crumb cake and then the outline is in soft  suede before it is punched out using the Moose Punch that you can bundle together with the stamp set for a 10% discount.

Before popping him up on dimensionals on the circle I tied a little scarf of Real red curly ribbon around his neck. The beautiful DSP is from the Wrapped in Plaid paper stack and I have added a little bit of linen thread. All of this is placed on a Cherry cobbler card base.

Make sure you come back next Wednesday for the next card in my series of Merry Moose cards.

My friend the lovely and talented Judy May is hosting our blog hop this week so please head over to her blog to see the fantastic inspiration from the rest of the Art with Heart team that are participating this week.

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 5

Toile Christmas, Christmas Cardinal Dies, Toile Tidings DSP, Christmas Card, Rhaspdoy in Craft, Stampin Up, Art with heart

Welcome to week 5 of the Heart of Christmas. Don't you just love Christmas? I do! I am enjoying making these cards each week so I hope you are enjoying hoping along with everyone of the ladies each week too!

Tonight I have chosen to use the beautiful Toile Christmas Stamp Set and the Christmas Cardinal Die Bundle. I just love birds and sitting looking out my window as I work I get to see beautiful King parrots, rosellas, red and yellow wattle birds, kookaburras just to name a few that I am blessed with on a nearly daily basis. I live in a gorgeous part of the world.

Toile Christmas, Christmas Cardinal Die, Toile Tidings DSP, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Christmas Cards, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with heart, Stampin' Up.

For this card I have used a garden green base and cut some of the gorgeous Toile Tidings DSP to go over the base and then softened it slightly with some vellum. I added a strip of double stitched garden green ribbon to the DSP and Vellum layer before adhering to the card base. I have a little rectangle layer over this and I have stamped in Soft Suede bot the branch and the verse that come with this lovely Toile Christmas stamp set on  the very vanilla card stock. I adhered this straight to the front of the card with snail.  I then cut out the larges stitched shape circle and stamped the branch again in very vanilla and popped it up on some dimensionals.  The beautiful bright red cardinal is stamped in memento black ink and cut out with the Christmas cardinal dies and then I used my Stampin' Blends to colour him in. I used light and dark Real Red and Soft Suede and light Crumb cake.  Christmas wishes is also stamped in Soft Suede and there is a die in the Christmas Cardinal Dies to cut it out as well. So good to have matching dies as it makes it so easy to make a quick card. I popped the cardinal on some dimensionals and the Christmas wishes too. There your card is done. Quick and easy and fun to make.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like any information on how to make this card or to purchase your supplies.

Please now head over to my dear friends Claire Daly's Blog as she is our host for tonight's Heart of Christmas blog hop and see all the other Christmas inspiration this week.
Thank you for spending some time with me today. Take Care,

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 4

Wow the year is just flying along. Can you believe we are at week 4 already. Ssh! it will be Christmas before you know it.

Well tonight I have made a really quick card as I am in preparation for my daughter's 18th in 2 days and we are having a murder mystery dinner  party so we are in full swing organisation mode for that.

My card tonight feature the Merry Moose stamp set but this time no moose! I know what could I be thinking. I wanted you to see that you can make a gorgeous elegant card using other stamps in the set without using the moose if you so choose.
Merry Moose, Rhapsody in Craft, Christmas Cards, Night before Christmas DSP, Come together Ribbon, Hammered Metal, Stampin' Up, 2019 Holiday Catalogue

I have chosen the gorgeous colour of crumb cake and the beautiful ribbon from the come together combo pack and it is just so soft and gorgeous to touch and feel. You need to get some and just hold it and tie bows with it!
Merry Moose, Rhapsody in Craft, Come together ribbon, night before Christmas dsp, Hammered metal, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Stampin' Up, Christmas cards

I have cut out a crumb cake, very vanilla and a polka dot circle using the stitched shape dies and I have stamped the images from the Merry Moose stamp set in Memento ink. You could choose to do it in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso or even soft suede, but if you only had black ink I wanted to show you that it works well. I have backed them in vellum circles cut from the layering circle dies. These were all popped up on dimensionals

The tree is topped with a copper star designer element to match the copper foil layer that I have embossed with the new hammered metal 3D embossing folder. The DSP comes from the Night Before Christmas DSP, I am just loving this pattern in that stack of gorgeous Christmas DSP.
Merry Moose, Crumb Cake, Christmas Cards, 2019 Holiday Catalogue, Hammered Metal, Heart of Christmas, Night before Christmas DSP, Come together ribbon, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin Up

I hope you have liked this idea of using the other stamps in the Merry Moose stamp set to make a different card other than a moose card and that you like the more mooted non-traditional colours for a Christmas card.

As always don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this card or any of your stamping up needs, I will be happy to help.

Now please head over to my lovely friend Claire Daly's Blog as she is hosting our hop tonight.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me tonight, now I am off to do some more preparations for murder mystery party. How good was it that Sarah's Birthday fell on Friday the 13th and she loves playing Cluedo?  Take Care,
