Welcome to this week 10 of the Heart of Christmas for 2024. I have a new stamp set for you today that I haven't used before and I wanted to get it out and give it a little bit of a try.
I love lanterns and so does my daughter so this was one of the stamp sets that I had to get and play with out of our Sept-Dec Mini this year. For the card base I have used Pebbled Path and layered with Pecan Pie and then used the gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP before adding all the decorations.
I have stamped the lantern in Pebbled Path from the Light the Year stamp set on Basic White then added the candle stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured the flame with Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend and the glow in the light blend. The Pine Cones are Stamped in Pecan Pie and Early Espresso and I really love how they turned out. I have die cut some leaves from the dies in Mossy Meadow and the fussy cut the sprigs of pine from the Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP. To Finish off the arrangement before adding the gold embossed sentiment I have added a Poinsettia from the A Little Bit Festive Mix and Match Specialty DSP.
I have gold embossed one more sentiment on the inside of the card and layered with Pecan Pie to match the front.

Welcome to week 2 of the Heart of Christmas for 2024. How amazing was week 1?! I loved it and I would think you did too! I am so glad that you are back with us for week 2.
This week I have gone back the lovely Laura Stranks in Queensland for another fancy fold after all these years I am searching everywhere for a different fold that I haven't done or a different take on a fold that I have previously done and then I put it together with our wonderful Christmas offerings from Stampin' Up!
Well this week I am going with a Floating Gatefold Double Pop Up Card and I thought as I still had all the gorgeous Green and Gold Specialty Papers out and the Greetings of the Season stamp set I would use them again to make this card!
My card base and layers are the same as last week, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla and then the gorgeous Green and Gold Specialty DSP. With a gatefold card you need a belly band and I have used the Mossy Meadow as my band and layered it with the Green and Gold Specialty DSP but the side without the gold in it for a little bit of contrast. I have die cut out the leaves and fussy cut out the bells and ribbon and adhere these to the square which I have adhered on the diamond with dimensionals.
When you open the gatefold card SUPRISE! 2 Pop-ups! I have lined the 2 inside parts of the gate the same as the front and the inside panel I have heat embossed It's the most wonderful time of the year! This all happens before you add your 2 pop ups! I have made them slightly smaller that in the original directions so that you can see the sentiment in the middle properly.
Each of the Merry Christmas words have been heat embossed and fussy cut out before adding to the pop up squares.
On the back of the card I have added a panel for you to write your message to the recipient and decorated it with a couple of strips of the gorgeous Green and Gold Specialty DSP.

Welcome to week 1 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2024. Each week until the end of November on a Monday, members of the Art with Heart team will bring you some Christmas inspiration so you will be ready with all your Christmas cards, packaging needs and decorating inspiration in time for Christmas.
This week I thought I had better start with a fancy fold. If you were playing along at home last Wednesday with out Bubble Bath Colour creations blog hop I let you know that I was trying a card and I had tried a couple of times and couldn't stick the landing. I had watched a couple of different tutorials on this particular fold and still couldn't make the fold work just right. Well I found yet another tutorial and using different measurements I think I have finally scored!
Today my fancy fold is called a double swing fold card! I have made a single swing fold card before and you can find that one here for our Summer Splash colour creation blog hop.
The reason I think I manage to get this one to work finally is because this was made with a piece of card stock 10 x 6 inches rather than the 12 x 6 inches of the 2 other tutorials I had been watching or maybe it was the person giving the tutorial. Laura Stranks from Brisbane!
I have used a card base of Mossy Meadow and layered with Very Vanilla and the gorgeous paper is the Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP.
When you lay the card out flat you can see all the different section. I have stamped the sentiment in Versamark and gold heat embossed. The stamp set is the Greetings of the Season stamp set and this along with the DSP is part of the Seasons of Green and Gold Suite Collection that is an online exclusive. You may notice that I have embossed the 2 side panels with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder.
If you flip the card over you will see the front 2 side sections which I have also embossed in the Changing leaves folder but I have added die cuts from the Green and Gold Specialty DSP and a vellum leaf from the Graceful Greenery Vellum. I then gold embossed Merry Christmas on Very Vanilla and fussy cut that out. Here also on the back there is a place to write your message.
