Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Team Blog Hop September 2019 - DSP

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing amazing projects featuring Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, most of which is in the current promotions where you can buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper and receive a pack for free! Only available until the 30th of September.

For more information about the promotion, contact any of the ladies on the blog hop and we will be happy to help you.

I have a very special birthday card for you tonight using the Perennial Essence DSP. I know you have been missing my fancy fold obsession so tonight I bring you the Ultimate Pop-Up Card! I found this design by a lady called Sam on mixedupcraft and I thought this would be perfect for our friends daughter's 18th Birthday card. She loves pink and I thought this would be a great surprise card for her. Mind you I haven't made a card for my daughter who just turned 18 Oh dear too busy making lanterns and cake lace for her cake!

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, Perennial Essence DPS, Birthday Card, Fancy Fold, Ultimate Pop-up Card, Rhapsody in craft, Stampin' Up, Art with heart

For this card I used the very cute girly bundle I would say of Wish for it all Stamp set and Doily Wishes which you can bundle together and get a 10% savings. Ok now you are saying this looks like a card that is more like an envelope of box to put things in. Well it does kind of look that way but wait!

Open the flap. I have secured the flap with velcro dots. You could also use magnets if you wish.

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, fancy fold, ultimate pop-up card, birthday card, rhapsody in craft, stampin' up, perennial essence DSP, Art with Heart

As you can see it explodes into this big beautiful fan and birthday cake!
Wish for it all, Doily wishes, Perennial Essence DSP, fancy fold, birthday card, Rhapsody in craft, ultimate pop-up card, stampin' up, art with heart

The sides are just as beautiful as this Perennial Essence DSP is gorgeous on both sides.

Wish for it all, Doily wishes, birthday card, fancy fold, ultimate pop-up, rhapsody in craft, stampin' up, art with heart

For the inside of the card after I had made the pop-up tiers I layered them with the perennial essence dsp and stamped the cake from the stamp set twice in Rococo Rose as it is a 4 layer cake and cut it up to go on my tiers. I used the candle die from the Doily dies and added the center of one of the flowers behind the flame to make it look like it was flickering.

If there isn't enough room for you to write around the greeting you can always write on the back of the card as that is also a white space,

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, my friend and the very talented Kate Morgan.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the participants below:

If you would like to purchase some of the products to make this ultimate pop-up card and get your free DSP before the end of September please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for spending some time with me today, take care,

Stampin' Up OnStage in Sydney

Hello Everyone,

Recently I was fortunate to be able to go to Sydney for the Stampin' Up OnStage Local event. It was a wonderful time and we has such fantastic weather. The event was held a Luna Park and we could see it from our hotel window. How lucky were we?

Here is a view from our hotel room. Isn't it gorgeous?

Here is the view by night out out window, just stunning!

Here I am with some of the lovely ladies from the Art with Heart team having fun at OnStage in Sydney!

The lovely Caroline Manwaring from country NSW. She and I became little friends! We laughed about how nice it was to have someone close in height to ourselves!

Here we are with Jan Collins from Queensland.

These gorgeous ladies from the Art with Heart team sat with me for the  day. Catherine Proctor, from Sydney, Caroline Manwaring, Jan Collins and my room mate and flying buddy for the weekend Kate Morgan. Catherine Proctor was amazing and came and picked us up from the airport and drove us around the whole weekend. Thanks so much Catherine!

At the OnStage events in April Stampin' Up launch their new annual catalogue that will be available to customers from June 1, 2017. If you want to get your hands on a copy don't hesitate to contact me.

While we were at OnStage in Sydney we had many fantastic presentations but I can't possibly show them all to you but here is a taste of the new in colours for this year. Oh My Goodness! Can't wait to get my hands on these ones!  Left to right from the top Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst. Gorgeous! The Lemon Lime Twist reminds me of being a teenager in the '80s. It is sure going to bring a pop of colour to our projects!

I have a most Gorgeous Cousin going through her second bout of breast cancer at the moment with such grace and dignity and I was so happy and overwhelmed when this new stamp set Ribbon of Courage was demonstrated for us. I can't wait to get my hands on this most beautiful stamp set to be able to make her a card like this. Of course you can make it is all different colours for many different struggles that your friends and loved ones are facing.

Hope you all have a lovely day. Thanks for sharing some time with me today.
Take Care.

Stampin' Up Obsession

Hello,

What is your obsession?
Well at a recent dinner for my daughters ASD social group, Different Journeys, they were asked to dress up in their obsessions. My daughter used to love Dr. Who. Still does to some degree and watches it with her dad but at the moment she is really into Japanese Anime. So of course she had to go dressed as one of the characters.

We decided to go as a casual Totoro it was easy to put together and she looked great:

The parents could dress up too and were actually encouraged to get in on the fun as well. I couldn't quite work out what I was going to do so well you guessed it I attached a lot of the cards I have made using Stampin' Up products to myself and went dressed up in my obsession of card making with Stampin' Up! What could be better than that I ask you?!!!

Here I am trying it on before we leave to see if it will work. Just a bit funny but the other parents thought it was not too bad! What do you think?

Hope you all have a lovely day. Thanks for sharing some time with me today
Take Care.

Some More Scrapbook Fun

Hello and welcome.
Today I want to share with you what I have been doing in the way of scrapbooking in the past 3 weeks. I have been participating in the Amazing Race at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. We have been having so much fun but if you would like to join in it is not too late just head on over for all the details.

Week 1 we had to do a page before we left Australia or task this week was to use Aussie Slang, an Australian flag or animal and a scallop border punch to represent the big iconic structures or Australia.

For the LO I used all Stampin' Up paper and although you can't see it in this photo I have also stamped the background in the new Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad ink it is gorgeous. I have also punched out the butterflies in the new butterfly punch and the new comfort care DSP. To do the Rosettes I used my hot glue gun with the Silicone Craft Sheet that you can find on page 31 of the  Stampin' Up Holiday catalogue.

For this next layout it was our First Detour and we had our letter home blown away so we had to do a LO or 3 card set using the criteria of an envelope, stamp or hidden journalling, I chose hidden journalling.

Again I have used all Stampin' Up paper and buttons and ribbon. I have used different DSP with a hexagon punch that I have from Creative Memories. I have made the pin wheel using the hot glue gun and the silicon mat to make it so much easier to do. The hidden journalling is under the photo which you pull down with the ribbon. The photo of is of us on top of the Mountain in Langkawi after going up in the cable car. It was rather a scary trip.

The next LO is our stop 2 Asia and I got India for my country in Asia. The criteria was to use at least 2 bright colours, have a busy LO and some gold on the LO somewhere.

I have used the new In-Colours from Stampin up for my bright colours not only for the background but also for the flag banner. To make the trunk of the tree I have used the new Textured Impressions Embossing folder with the core'dinations card stock. Once you have put this card stock throught the big shot in the embossing folder you can sand off the top to reveal the inside colour to give added dimension. The Gold is the new champagne glimmer paper from Stampin' Up. There was always mist in Malaysia when we were there so it seemed fitting to have the mist in the background which I just sponged on with the white craft ink. The lovely elephant had a very boney back so it was father hard so I was glad for just a short ride. LOL!

Hope you have enjoyed these pages and are inspired.

Take Care

Scalloped Flower

Hello,

Glad you joined me today. I have been playing with my glue gun and the new silicone craft mat from Stampin' Up.
I was looking for a flower for a project and I knew I had come across one and luckily I was able to find a video tutorial on You Tube by Mindy that teaches us how to make these great flower. Make sure you have a look at the video you can find it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsvscDb6t00

I have used Stampin' Ups scallop punch and you need to punch out 7 for the bottom layer, 5 for the middle layer and 3 for the top. I have used our gorgeous Designer Series Paper to make these ones.

Here is the top and Side view of the flower

If you would like to look at the Mat you can find it on page 31 of the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalogue. The buttons are not Stampin' Up but they have some great new Naturals Designer Buttons that would look fabulous on these as well (I just don't have mine yet and I couldn't wait to try the flower Page 176 of the Annual Catalogue click here).

They are super cute flowers and would be great on scrapbook pages and cards

Hope you get a chance to make these flowers

Take Care

I'm Back

Hi Everyone,

Yes I know it has been way too long since I have done any posting so I am going to try and be a bit more regular.

To start off this return to my blog I would like to tell you of the wonderful day I had on Saturday at Stampin'  Up's Heartfelt day. I went as a guest of my friend Claire Day who is a Stampin' Up demonstrator. We had lots of fun getting our hands on the product tables to have a go at the new stuff coming out on September 1st. There were demonstration as well and the 3D flowers were great as was the card with the new glitter paper. We got make and takes as well. But I think my favourite thing of the day was the classes. We had 4 classes Decorations, Cards, Packing and wrapping paper and handmade gifts so many great ideas and the presenters were absolutely fabulous.

Here are a few shots from the day of inspiration: All are done by the lovely ladies at Stampin' Up

Christmas place mat and coaster

These were great cards just and example of the many that were shared with us on the day.

It was really a lovely way to spend the day if you would like to go in Brisbane, Perth or Sydney check out Claire Daly's blog and you will find some details there. There was so much inspiration I just wouldn't be able to put it all up here.

Now for a something from me that I have done this year that just hasn't gone up yet.

These next couple of things I did for Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia

This card was one that we had to do for the cyber crop and we had to have a playing card on it. I quite like how this one turned out.

For this next page I had to use primary colours large lettering and some bling. I decided to do something a little different for this one and it turned out ok.

Well I will be back again soon with some more fun stuff hope you are all well and that you have fun being crafty!

Scrapbook Fun

Hi Everyone it is time for another Cyber Crop over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. Hope to see you tonight it is so much fun.

Here are the pages I did for last Months Crop it was great to get back into it again after being away so long.

In this challenge we had to  choose a genre. It was all about books. We had to choose from Thriller, Romance, Drama and Action along with a few other things like some fabric on the page. I chose "DRAMA"

This was our dictionary definition challenge so I had 2 words Dinosaur and Hunter. We had to use the definitions on the page. I really enjoyed this one and loved how it turned out. The leaves I cut our on my craft robo or silhouette.

This was choose our own adventure challenge and I chose and Action adventure. We also had to have some newsprint or book print on the page. I was really glad that I found some card stock that matched Sarah's top she was wearing.

This one we had to alter a title of a book. I really liked these photos so I searched high and low to find a title that I could use. I found a book titled "The World's most beautiful seashells" I knew I could work with that. Besides just look at the beautiful children.

It was lots of fun so I am hoping to do it again tonight so come along and join me. P.S all the papers that I used were from Stampin' Up from my good friend Claire Daly.

Thanks for looking see you again soon. I am going to try and keep this up a bit better this year.

Lovelybug Bits n Bobs GIVEAWAY and Christmas in July

Hi Everyone,
just wanted to say hello and let you know about a couple of things happening.

Bellow you will find a link to lovely Sue's goodies that she makes and sells and this week she is giving away a prize as she has reached 100 likes on Facebook for Lovelybug Bits n Bobs. Go to the link to have a look they are really great and post a comment to have a chance at winning a prize packet. You have until Friday so hurry, you do not want to miss out on the chance.

Now for something that I have been up to. For my Girlfriends night at Church in July I made Christmas Crackers with the paper hats and the bad jokes but not the bad toy I went with the Mentos instead.

Anyway I found a pattern to download for the craker so that I could cut it on my Craft Robo ( if you have a newer versions in Australia it is probably called the Silhouette)  from this lovley place Crafts by Carolyn check her out for the pattern.

I used some great Hunter Green card stock that had been given to me and I then stamped first in Versa Mark and then in craft white from Stampin' Up in the Snow Flake from the set Snow Swirled from Stampin' Up.  I then filled them all up and tied them off with some red velvet Ribbon I had been given so that was great. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the labels on the front of the cracker.

We had a fun night out to dinner and the bad jokes were a big hit. LOL!

Anyway at the moment I am working on some Christmas Cards and also some hand made flower embellishments for the August swap at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. I hope to post them by the end of the week so you can have a look at them.

Hope you are all having a good week and I will see you again soon.

Cards for boys!

Hello everyone,

I hope that you have had a good week. Well I have been complete Casing Claire Daly this week. I thought I should try some male cards as I mostly love doing flower cards and sadly neglecting the male cards of any kind I suppose. Well I have just gotten the set Seaworthy from Stampin' Up which I had had my eye on for a while and finally bit the bullet and bought it. I am really happy with the results as well. They are totally the same as Claire's designs but sometimes I think if it ain't broke don't fix it. Well here they are, hope you like them.

for this one I have used Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, River Rock, and whisper white card stock. Vera Mark, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy ink. White embossing powder, antique eyelets, hemp twine, crop-a-dile, and the heat gun. The back ground stamp is linen.

This card again using the seaworthy set and the whimsical words set uses baja breeze, river rock and whisper white card stock, chocolate chip DSP, river rock ribbon, choclate chip ink and if you look really close a couple of markers on the water and boat.

These 2 cards I just love again cased from Claire. I have used night of navy, river rock, baja breeze and whisper white card stock, Urban garden dsp antique jumbo eyelets. On one card I used the baja breeze ink and the other night of navy. The background stamp is linen and is in river rock ink.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look at what I have been up to.
