Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

The Heart Of Christmas - Week 1

Hello and welcome to another beautiful day.

Did you know there are only 27 Wednesdays including today until the last week of November. I know shocking!

Well with that in mind some of the lovely ladies at the Art with Heart team are going to bring you a weekly Christmas inspiration to help you get your Christmas cards ready in time to send this year.

I don’t know about you but I absolutely love Christmas. In Australia, at least, it is summer time and I love the summer, mostly because I don’t like being cold. It is the end of the school year here and as a former school teacher that is always great. My birthday is 4 days after Christmas, my Husbands birthday is 5 days after Christmas and to top that all off we got married 3 days after Christmas! Yes, I know we were Crazy!! Our poor Parents! Plus, I just love celebrating Christmas and the birth of Jesus, it really is the best time of year I think!

Well at Art With Heart we have you covered with your Christmas cards inspiration this year.

Today I have for you a card made with the stamp set Father Christmas. Don’t you just love his vintage look. He is in the New Annual Catalogue and one of the stamp sets we are carrying over from the Holiday Catalogue. He is so gorgeous and very popular! I have used 2 of our new in-colours in this card, Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide and tomorrow June 1 you will be able to get your hands on these great new colours and then new annual catalogue too!

I have used our blender pens to add the ink of Fresh Fig to the robe of Father Christmas. It is such a royal colour and how good are Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide together for Christmas colours? Do you like the way the copper metallic thread has softened the new in-colour Fresh Fig Finely Woven ribbon? I have wrapped it over the ribbon, it does make it sparkle! For more product information  check out the list below.

Stampin' Up - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

 Hello Everyone,
Tonight, I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new 2017-2018 annual catalogue, which is available 1st June.

Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today!

I would like to show you 3 different projects using products from the Delightful Daisy Suite and how you can incorporate other stamps you may have into your creations.

In this first card, I have used the new Daisy punch to make the gorgeous white daisies. Punch out 2 daisies and layer, then stamp the centre with crushed curry. Curling up the petals on the flower really gives some dimension. The background paper is not your normal Designer series paper, for this I have used one of our new products for memory keeping called Memories and More. This card comes from the Memories and More Colour Theory Card Pack. You can use them for card making as well as memory keeping. So versatile! You are going to love them!

I have stamped some daisy images in crushed curry on the background as well as whisper white card stock and fussy cut them out. Can you see the wink of Stella on these daisies and in the centre of the big daisies? The beautiful new Double Stitched Ribbon has crosses on 1 side and dashes on the other.

The sentiment also has a corresponding text for the center of your cards from the new stamp set Special Celebrations and the sentiment is punched out using the new Pretty Label punch

This second card uses the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I used it for a male birthday card. I think the beautiful tones in the paper work perfectly for a male card, Who says daisies are just for girls?! It is so great that our DSP has patterns on both sides, there is so much to choose from in just one packet. Again I have used the Happy Birthday stamp from the new stamp set Special Celebrations and the matching sentiment on the inside of the card. Check out the product list below for the other products I used on this card.

For my third sneak peek for you at what is coming up in the new Annual Catalogue, I have a thank you card made with the products from the Delightful Daisy Suite. I have used the DSP down the side and the daisy stamp from the Daisy Delight stamp set I have made it into a gerbera. The thank you  from the Daisy Delight stamp set I have stamped in the new in-colour Fresh Fig

One of the great things about Stampin’ Up is the co-ordinating card stock and ink and I have used fresh fig card stock to co-ordinate with the ink I have used on the sentiment and tranquil tide card stock behind the gerbera to co-ordinate with the DSP down the side. Check out the product list to see what else I have used to create this card.

Stampin' Up - Sneak Peek Daisy Delight

Welcome to another beautiful day,

Each May along with some gorgeous friends who help me, we put on a pamper night at our church around Mother’s Day to give the ladies above 18, whether they are a Mother or not a little pamper. Women are care givers and all deserve a little bit of care and a pamper occasionally. So, each May we put on a night of massages, manicures and of course, no pamper night is complete without a chocolate fountain and strawberries.

For each Lady who attended I made a little window box and we put in a battery-operated votive candle inside them. Here they are all boxed up waiting for me to take them to the pamper night. They look so colourful together. Can you see the new in-colour Fresh Fig sneak in there with our regular colours?
