Heart Of Christmas - Week 12 - 2023

 

Welcome to week 12 of Christmas inspiration from the Art With Heart Team for 2023.

This week I have a simple Double "Z-Fold" card for you. I didn't have much time this week to create a card. In fact I was still creating the card a couple of hours before the blog hop was about to start so I thought I would just let the gorgeous Designer Series Paper do all the work! I knew I had to do a fancy fold as I couldn't let Theresa Gerrard down!

For my card I have used a Shaded Spruce card base on both the "z" portions and layered them with Pecan Pie card before adding the Joy of Christmas DSP to the base layer "Z"

For the tops "z" I have used the Joyful Specialty DSP with the Gold Foil through it to add that extra bit of bling to the card. In this photo you can also see I have added a space for writing but you could decorate this section more elaborately and add a writing section to the back of your card.

On the very front I have heat embossed the sentiment in gold and cut out using the Christmas Classic Dies and under each corner I have added a couple of sprigs of pine in Shaded Spruce and Old Olive. The little holly bling I have added are actually the Tinsel Gems Four Pack from the Annual Catalogue in case you missed them and these are the Berry Burst ones and I really like them!

Heart Of Christmas - Week 8 - 2023

 

Welcome to our weekly Heart of Christmas blog hop on a Monday night in Australia! We are here each week until the end of November.

Today I have for you a fancy fold (yes I know a fancy fold who would have guessed!) using the Joy of Christmas Suite Collection.

I know I say this every week but this is an easy fancy fold and with all the beautiful papers and dies that come with the Joy of Christmas suite the card is so easy to make.

For this card, the front of the card I have a belly band. On the base of the card I have used the gold wood grain from the Joyful Specialty DSP.

The focal point on the belly band is made up of die cuts from the Christmas Classics Dies and the Joy of Noel Dies. I have cut out the base in Pebbled Path and Old Olive and offset it. Then I cut out some of the leaves, twigs, branches in shaded spruce, pecan pie, crumb cake and a hint of gold. Under the NOEL which is cut out in Gold Foil is a piece of DSP from the Joy of Christmas DSP pack. Of course I can't not have some of the gems from the Loose Holly Gems and Sequins.

Now if you open the card I have scored it into 4 and decorated with gold foil and then with the Joy of Christmas DSP. I have added the sentiments in 2 scored sections that when the card is folded they will fold in but will pop out when open. They are on a base of Shaded Spruce, Gold Foil the Pebbled Path music DSP before stamping the Christmas Classic stamps in Pebbled Path and Cherry Cobbler. I have added the Loose Holly Gems and Sequins as well to the inside.

This is what it looks like from the top! Oh and on the back I added a little bit more basic white so you could write more to the recipient if you would like.

A little bit of folding and die cutting makes a fun fold. I do hope you enjoyed my card today. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
