Heart of Christmas - Week 20 - Do you still have lots of cards to make?

 

Welcome to week 20 of the Heart of Christmas just 2 weeks remaining after today, so make sure you hop around all those participating and go back through the weeks of the Heart of Christmas so that you get all that last minute inspiration before life gets too busy in December.

Today I have for you a One Sheet Wonder as I needed a few Christmas cards this week for my Church ladies as we have our Christmas breakup from my Thursday night group. We were to have it last week but I was in Sydney having fun at OnStage so we are having it this week. I thought a One Sheet Wonder would help me get a lot of cards made quickly and Stampin' Up! has such gorgeous DSP the cards practically make themselves.

So I went on a little bit of a hunt for a different template to ones I had seen before and to see if they would fit with the sentiments that I had. I found this one on a blog by Kate Deignan.

I decided to use the gorgeous Fitting florets DSP.

Once I had chosen the DSP and cut it up I layered it all up on to Evening Evergreen card bases and a Soft Succulent layer.

I adjusted the DSP layers just slightly so they had a little bit of a border with the soft succulent but the template was my starting point.

From there I used 2 stamp sets, the Framed & Festive and the Sweet Candy Canes for my sentiments. I used the dies from from the Candy Cane Dies, Framed Florets Dies and the Stylish shapes dies. 

I have used the Sentiment for 9 of the card from the Framed and Festive stamp set and cut it out with the Stylish shaped dies and then with the Brushed Metallic cardstock I have cut a layer and popped them up on dimensionals.

This is the 2 full piece of DSP. I have used Basic White, Soft Sea Foam and Sahara Sand for the foliage under the sentiment.

This design uses one of the 2 1/2 inch and the 2 inch piece of DSP.

Most of the designs have a piece of DSP like this on the bottom of the card. You could add a little bit of decoration or ...

You could add a little to both side of the sentiment.

It is up to you how to decorate both look great with these products.

Now just for fun cut one of the pieces on the diagonal and I stamped the sentiment on the Soft Succulent card stock and cut out a candy cane from the Sweet Christmas DSP added some of the foliage and a red ribbon and you have another card.

Don't forget to add some bling which I have to every card.

Heart of Christmas - Week 19

 

Welcome to week 19 of the Heart of Christmas. We are in November so that means just 4 weeks left of Heart of Christmas. "No", I say! I am loving all the inspiration from these very talented and creative team members I want it to be Christmas all the time! But alas it would not be special if it was!

This week I have a card using the Framed and Festive stamp set. It is part of the  Framed Florets Collections.

This collection is now available until January 4th. I hope you have been loving all the sneak peaks you have been getting.

For my card today I thought I would show you  a paired back version and then a stepped up version. I have made this card using panels of the gorgeous Fitting Florets DSP. Who doesn't have a couple of pieces lying around and just needs to know what to do with them. I have a card base of Evening Evergreen layered with Soft Succulent and then 2 panels layered on top of the Fitting Florets DSP. To add a little contrast the is a band across the middle of a little extra piece of DSP. I have cut out the frames in brushed metallic gold foil and stamped the greeting in Evening evergreen. 

Now you can leave your card like this or you could step it up a little.

I took out another piece of the Fitting florets DSP and fussy cut the beautiful flower array to tie in the Balmy blue and Night of Navy Band. Under the flowers I frayed some Gold Shimmer Ribbon and popped them up on dimenionals.

Here is a closer look at the frame and the contrasting band. Plus you can see the gold swirls that I have added that come in the collection too! You have to have some bling!

No matter which version you chose to do the Fitting Florets collection make a lovely card every time!

Heart of Christmas - 2022 - Week 17

 

Welcome to week 17 of the Heart of Christmas for 2022. We have just 5 more weeks after today of our Christmas inspiration to bring to you! Ssh! I don't think I am ready for it to be nearly December!

Today I am channeling my dear friend Caroline Manwaring the queen of the embossing folders and I also saw a similar card to this by Laura Du Bois so I am so casing her colour scheme and layout just using different products!

I so loved the simple elegance of the white on white with the touches of Soft Sea Foam and gold that I just had to make this card with some of our current products!

The card base is a Thick Basic White which I have layered on top a piece of Basic White embossed with the Stripes from the Stripes and Splatters 3D Embossing folders pack. The wreath is 2 layers of the the Natural Prints dies one in Soft Sea Foam and one in Basic White. I have used the sentiment from the Peace to you stamp set and heat embossed that in gold and cut it out with the stitched rectangle dies and layered it on soft sea foam and popped up on dimenisionals.

You may remember from last year and carried over into this year's mini the Merriest Moments bundle. I have used the poinsettia from the dies cut in white and separated by dimensional. The gold centre is the gorgeous distressed gold paper. I have also added the little leaf behind from the Framed Florets Dies!

I think this is a card you could actually make multiples of quite quickly and change up the soft sea foam for other colours as well. What colour would you chose?
