Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas - Week 14

Well I can't believe how close it is to ..... well you know, my wedding anniversary! LOL! No My Birthday! Ok I'm not telling you how many days or weeks it is to Christmas but as my wedding anniversary is 3 days after Christmas and my birthday is 4 days after Christmas it is 6 weeks and 2 days until my wedding anniversary. Very exciting I know, this year will be 27 years married! I think we are doing not too bad for young people 😃😃

Tonight the Heart of Christmas blog hop is being hosted by my lovely friend and super creative Kate Morgan so make sure you go over to her blog to see what she has created and see the list of participants for tonight's hop.

Tonight I have for you a card made from the first frost bundle on page 37 of your holiday catalogue. It is so gorgeous! Here is my card.
First Frost, Tin Tile DTIEF, Tufted TIEF, Heart of Christmas, Christmas Card, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart

I saw this design for a birthday card on Melissa Giffords blog and I  thought I would totally CASE it  and make a Christmas card with this design.

Here is a closer look at the  details especially at the tin tile band in cherry cobbler underneath the gorgeous flowers that have been stamped in cherry cobbler also.  I have cut the leaves out in vellum and the branches in whisper white card. The sentiment that comes with the gorgeous stamp set was cut out using the stitched shape framelits.

First Frost, Tin Tile DTIEF, Tufted DTIEF, Christmas Card, Rhapsody in craft, DIY Cards, Art with Heart, Heart of Christmas

This card is so easy to replicate and would look fantastic in whatever colour you chose. I only had a chance to make one today, bit of a busy day with appointments but I think I will be revisiting it to make some more in other colours. What colours do you think you would like to make?

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the card for tonight, you would like to purchase some of the goodies to make the cards or if you would like to join my team.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 22 - Grapefruit Grove

I am having a lot of fun when I get the chance to hop along with the Art With Heart team and challenge myself with the next colour in the list of gorgeous colours that Stampin' Up has to offer. This week it is Grapefruit Grove and it is one of the new In Colours for 2018-2020.
It is a very vibrant and gorgeous colour and I think you are going to like it a lot.
I have done a very simple and quick card for you tonight. I know you had better sit down. It is not a fancy fold card.
Grapefruit gorve, Petal Palette, Tufted DTIEF, Subtle DTIEF, Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop, DIY Cards, Nature;s Poem DSP

For this card I have embossed the Grapefruit Grove card stock twice. The first time through the big shot I embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder ( DTIEF) and then I put it through the big shot a second time using the Tufted DTIEF.

Here is an up close look at the card stock so you can see both impressions.

It really looks gorgeous adding that extra bit of texture to the already beautiful Tufted DTIEF.

For the gorgeous Designer Series Paper I have used Nature's Poem I really love Blackberry bliss and the Petal Pink that is in this particular piece. Grapefruit Grove is one of the colours that is featured in the Nature's Poem DSP.

The Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon is just beautiful and is perfect to be the backdrop for the greeting that I have used from the stamp set Petal Palette and cut out using the Petals and More Thinlits that coordinate with this gorgeous stamp set. I popped it up on a few dimensionals.

To get the design on the front of the card I have simply cut the embossed piece of grapefruit grove card stock on an angle and then the piece I had left I cut the little extra bit to add as well.

Make sure you hop on over to the lovely Cathy Proctor so that you can see more inspiration for the colour Grapefruit grove.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help in making this card or for any of your craft need.

Thank you for spending some time with me today.

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 21 - Granny Apple Green

Tonight, the lovely ladies of the Art With Heart Team are highlighting the colour Granny Apple Green for the colour creations blog hop.

Granny Smith Apples are a favourite eating apple at our house, so it is going to be a nickname of this colour to call it Granny Smith Green as Catherine who is hosting our colour hop also called it when asking for people to join the hop.  Ok I am making myself hungry now.

Tonight, I started with casing the card in the Holiday Catalogue on page 35 using the stamp set Wishing You Well.  To CASE means Copy And Share Everything

So, this card is a Christmas card and is so easy to make, you can do it too! This stamp set is so beautiful as it is one of the DistINKtive stamp sets. They look so real!

Ok So I added the red rhinestones for a card class I was doing but the rest of the card is exactly the same.  Thick Whisper White card base, copper metallic thread, granny apple green ink for the wreath and then tranquil tide ink for the bow and greeting and pop that up on some dimensionals. I stamp the images using my Stamparatus so you can just make a number of these for your Christmas cards this year and you will be all ready.

Well I thought there are more stamps in this set, lets use the same design and gradually increase the degree of difficulty as they say in gymnastics and diving. I do like watching those sports in the Olympics. In card making we call stepping it up!

So here is the first card exactly the same design as the Christmas one in catalogue just using the different image in the stamp set. I still don’t think I have the copper metallic thread quite right.

In this next version I have used the Tufted Dynamic Textured Embossing folder as an added layer. I have also added some bling with the pearls. Simple added monochromatic layering with the regular whisper white card stock being embossed.

The next stepped up version I have added Granny Apple Green card stack layering behind the embossed layer and behind the stamped image.

To add an extra dimension to the stamped image I have added some real red flowers.

The last card the real red flowers have been stamped as well as the greeting in real red but I have added red rhinestones to the flowers.

Whichever of these cards you chose to do they are quick and easy and you can make multiples of very quickly if you need more than 1 of these designs.

Happy stamping.

Now jump on over to the lovely Cathy Proctor to see who else is playing along tonight in the colour challenge.

If you have any questions or would like to order supplies to make these cards, just contact me or go to my online store and I will be happy to help you with your crafting.

Have a great day and thanks for spending a little time with me tonight.
