Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 6

 

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 6. This week I have for you a simple card that I have CASEd from Mary Deatherage. This card can be used with any of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper that Stampin' Up! has. I have chosen 2 different designs for you so you can see just what I am talking about.  The Elegant Pines Snowflakes and the Christmas Tags & More 6 x 6 Mix and Match Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For my card I have used the Joyful Tidings stamp set which I have stamped the pine image in Garden Green and the sentiments in Basic Gray! In this version I have used the Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP.

To create the focal point I have layered on the base card of Thick Basic White the gorgeous DSP layer and in this version is the Christmas Tags & More 6 x 6 Mix & Match Specialty DSP then a layer of Basic white that I have used the Everyday Arches dies to cut out window to stamp on! These are popped up on dimensionals and mini dimensionals.

Of course you need some bling and I have coloured with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend the Antique Pearls! As you can see a quick and simple card that you can do with all of your gorgeous DSP and your Christmas cards are set!

Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 5

 

Welcome to week 5 of the Heart of Christmas for 2025. I hope have been enjoying all the gorgeous creations from the Art with Heart team. We have some amazingly creative ladies!

This week for you I have have a quick card for you that I just loved when I saw it so I had to CASE it. That is Copy And Share Everything. I saw this card from Tammy Beard and this was so gorgeous I had to try it!

I have a base of Thick Basic White Card with a layer of Basic White Card. On the Basic White Card. Then the magic happens! Take your Peace on Earth dies and cut out multiple doves (both designs) and adhered them to the Basic White layer have some hanging over the edge. When you have finished trim off the excess and then adhere this layer to your card base.  

Stamp the sentiment 'Peace on Earth' in Basic Gray or maybe even Smokey Slate I used Basic Gray on a piece of Basic White then cut out using the Peace on Earth dies and pop up on dimensionals. To finish off add another Dove with the Olive Branch to the top of the focal point and your card is complete.

Ok, I couldn't do just one so I went to the Peaceful Garden DSP and the colours on the pack are Misty Moonlight and Cloud Cover so I thought I would give you another one with these colours and make it sparkly with the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper for the Doves.

So Sparkly!

Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 4 - Peace On Earth

 

Welcome to Week 4 of the Heart of Christmas for 2025. Each week on a Monday the Art with Heart team will bring you some Christmas inspiration to help you get all your Christmas cards, tags and decorations ready for Christmas.

This week I am using the Peaceful Garden suite  and a quick fun fold for you!

For my card this week I have chosen the gorgeous Peaceful Garden Suite of Products as my inspiration and starting point. So all the wonderful papers, stamps, dies and embossing folders can be found starting on page 32 of the September - December 2025 Mini Catalogue.

I did however add the Damask Designs Embossing Folder to the base of the card as you can see in this photo. Here you will see one of the gorgeous DSP's from the Peaceful Garden DSP pack but you could change it to any design from the pack for this style of card. In fact this fun fold can be adapted to any occasion! So how do you make this card.

I cut the card base like a normal card base in Secret Sea card stock and folded in half. From the front of the card cut a strip off the right edge that is 1 1/4 inches or 3.2 cm that will be for your sentiment fold. On the front part that is left you can now emboss in what ever embossing folder is appropriate for your project! Cut a piece of card to fit the inside for writing and adhere. Stamp if you want to. I have stamped Peace on Earth. MAKE SURE you adhere your strip under this first after scoring at 4 1/8 inches or 10.5 cm this will give you plenty of space for a sentiment on the front and if you need to make is a little shorter you can cut it off.

Fold over your embossed front and now adhere a layer in my case Basic Beige and the gorgeous Peaceful Garden DSP to just the left side so that the card will open. the layers are 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 (8.9 x13.3 cm) for Basic Beige and 3 1/4 x 5 inches (8.3 x 12.7 cm) for the DSP 

I have added a strip of Basic Beige to the fold over Secret Sea and stamped the sentiment. As I wanted to add the doves as a feature (you could also add a ribbon bow that matched your project) The sentiment was too long so I masked the words off while inking and stamp the long sentiment in two parts to created the double line.

I can see myself making lots of this fun fold as it displays the gorgeous DSP that Stampin' Up has and it is quick to make and you can make lots out of a pack of Designer Series Paper!

Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 3

 

Welcome to Week 3 of the Heart of Christmas for 2025. This week I needed a quick card that used no ink! Yes no ink! I have had issues with ink this week and I wanted nothing to do with it. (I will add a photo at the end of the finished project for the die.) So I have created a card using card stock, embossing folders and dies! Yes if can be done!

So for this card I have used the Traditional Wreath 3D embossing folder, the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die and the Christmas Greenery Dies!

I have used a Crumb Cake Card Base which I have added a layer of Crumb cake embossed in the Traditional Wreath then cutting out the Christmas Greenery in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive, plus the berries in Earthen Tones Metallic Specialty Paper. The Sentiment Joy was embossed and cut out with the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die set in Gold Foil. The little splash of red is the Real Red Shiny Ribbon which I have cut the width in half. The ribbon and the Traditions Wreath are part of the Traditions of Christmas suite collection but can be purchased individually as well.

My daughter turned 24 on Saturday and I make and decorate the cake each year and this year she decided that I would do a cross stitch theme as she likes doing cross stitches. She also likes wisteria so that was the plan. The plan was not to knock over the green food colouring all over my white kitchen and in the drawers. So yes ink was not what I wanted to play with today as my hand are still green!!!

Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 2

 

Welcome to week 2 of the Heart of Christmas for 2025. It is the time of year that I love and the time of year that members of the Art with Heart team craft all things Christmas and share them with you! We will be doing this until the last week in November so come and join us each week.

This week for you I have CASEd a card from the new Sept-Dec Mini. It is a great way to get you started if you need some inspiration for your Christmas cards. On Page 24 there is a card using the Christmas Greenery and Traditional Labels so I took that card and added a couple more layers because I could.

To start I stamped the spray of flower image on Basic White with Memento Black in and with my Water Colour Pencils still out from my card last week I added a little colour to the image then used my Blender Pen to blend and colour the image. Here I have added the Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo and then I added Old Olive to the leaves and a little line of Basic Black before die cutting it out with the Christmas Greenery dies.

The base of the card in the sample is the embossed layer of the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder on Basic White straight on the Thick Basic White card. I have added a layer of Brushed Gold and Old Olive to my card base.

From there you could add the elements straight to the card but I have added the next layer like in the sample in the Sept-Dec Mini.

I have added another layer of Old Olive and Basic White, Brushed Gold strip underneath them to add a highlight to the sentiment from the Traditional Labels stamp set which has been Gold Wow heat embossed on Old Olive card. Both the Spray of flowers and the sentiment are popped up on dimensionals.

Heart of Christmas 2025 - Week 1

Welcome to The Heart of Christmas for 2025. A group of very talented people from the Art with Heart Team will be joining each other over the next 13 weeks on a Monday night here in Australia to share with you the joy of Christmas through craft. It might be a card that you would like to make, table decorations, tree trimmings or how to decorated and package up those presents. So come along for the journey over the next 13 weeks right up until the end of November and you will have your Christmas all sorted and ready to go!

Today I will be using the new A Child is Born stamp set in the new September - December Mini which is available to everyone starting September 3rd!

Now this stamp set might be a little strange for people as there are no faces on the Nativity and animals but this reminds me of the Willow Tree figurines and I have a few of those.

For my card today I have made a fancy fold that I have slightly changed from a card that I made all the way back in 2021. If you would like to check that one out click here 

In my card today I have a base of Misty Moonlight that is half of our A4 cut at 10.5 x 29.5 cm then folded in half and the half folded back on itself to get the stand. I have lined each of these surfaces with the gorgeous  Peaceful Garden DSP 10 x 14.4 cm and then 2, 7 x 10 cm pieces.

For the focal point of the card I have a piece of Pecan Pie card which is 9.5 cm wide x  26.8 cm I folded and scored this in half and layered another gorgeous piece of the Peaceful Garden DSP on this at 12.5 x 9 cm. 

On another piece of Pecan Pie I stamped the image of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in Early Espresso and then got out the Water Color Pencils pack #1. I used Early Espresso on Mary's hair and the staff, I also used Pecan Pie, Early Espresso and Basic Gray on Joseph's Hair, for the skin colour I used a very pale application of Pecan Pie. As you can see I then coloured the figures in Basic White. I didn't blend them as to give them a carved look. The manger is coloured with Early Espresso and under the hay I have layered Daffodil Delight before cross hatching Pecan Pie to add texture. Oh and don't forget the bling on the star is from the Hues of Blues Flowers!

On the inside I also added the lamb and the cattle on a piece of Vanilla

The little lamb is coloured the same as our Nativity on the front and the cow or cattle has a layer of Basic Gray before Early Espresso with both having a face of Pecan Pie.
