Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Red Hot Bunny and Sunflower Spray from Sunshine's Stamps

Well another week has come and gone, did it go as fast for you as it did for me? Thank you to all of you who came and visited during the blog hop and for all your lovely comments. I really love flowers so when Sunshine gave me that particular stamp to use for the blog hop I was extremely happy. So this week I wanted to use the Sunflower Spray again and I have also used Red Hot Bunny this week.

First I will show you Red Hot Bunny. He is rather “Hot”. I do like fire fighters they are heroes in my book.

I have used Red Hot Bunny on a birthday card. You can put as many birthday candles on as you want but I went for lots. I based the design of the card on the Saturday sketch challenge from 365 Cards

Here is my Card:

I have used Sunshine’s Red Hot Bunny Stamp, Stampin’ Up’s Riding Hood Red and Whisper white Card Stock, DP from Creative Memories. The Ink is from Stampin’ Up and is Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Going Grey, Real Red, Yoyo Yellow, Creamy Caramel, Blush blossom and Tempting Turquoise. I also used dimensional and Fiskars Vines Texture Plate on the background to represent water shooting everywhere to put out the candles.

Here is the sketch:

Like I mentioned I have also done another project with the Sunflower Spray from Sunshine Stamp’s. I wanted to cover a little notebook that can be kept in your handbag or purse if you live in North America. In Australia we call a wallet a purse. Just for all of you who look at my blog from the U.S. and Canada, I didn’t want anyone getting confused. My Girlfriend loves to write notes so I thought I would give this to her but my daughter also wants one so I will have to make another one.

This is what it looked like before I covered it: It has a purple plastic cover but for some reason it doesn’t look that purple.

Here is my covered notebook

I have used Stampin’ Up’s Chocolate chip and Very Vanilla card stock, I have also used the same colours as I did for the scrapbook page on the Sunflower Spray. Stampin’ Up Garden Green, Old Olive, Summer Sun, So Saffron, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip. I also used Stampin’ Up Crystal Effects to add rain drops to the sunflowers and leaves. I also used Fiskars filigree texture plate on the chocolate chip card stock. I used very strong double sided tape to adhere the card stock to the plastic cover. I didn’t want to take chances that it would come off.

Well I hope that you like these couple of projects and I will be back again next week with something else to show you.

Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me.

Take Care,
