Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Stampin' Up - Hear of Christmas - Week 13

Tonight for week 13 I have used a card sketch for my inspiration. The reason I have done this is because in a couple of weeks the monthly team blog hop is a sketch challenge and it is a tricky one so I thought I would google a sketch and give it a try. Here is the sketch I chose.
I didn't think it was too bad and set about to try and make a Christmas card that I could replicate numerous times for my church group as it is our final get monthly get together for the year this week and I always like to give them a Christmas card and a little treat. This is how it turned out.
Illuminated Christmas, Sketch challenge, Heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in craft, Christmas card

The card on the left is the original card that I made and I used my stampin' blends to colour in the 3 wise men. I embossed the star and sentiments in copper and used daffodil delight to make the star shine.
I thought to make 20 of these cards and to colour them in by Thursday night I might not make it so I the made the card on the right with the wise men embossed in copper.
To make multiple cards I cut everything out first then stamped and heat embossed then put everything together.
Lining everything up on the Stamparatus is the way to go. It is the perfect tool for this job that is for sure.
Illuminated Christmas, Christmas cards, rhapsody in craft, heart of Christmas
I ran out of room on my board for all 20 but they look good together.

Illuminated Christmas, Christmas treat bags, heart of Christmas, Rhapsody in craft

The little treats are perfect in the little 3x6" gusseted cellophane bags.

To make these treats I have cut the bags down to 4 1/2 inches and then on both sides of the bag put on some tear and tape.
Using a 12x3 inch piece of  DSP  making sure you have the opeing of the bag at the end of the DSP and then adhere the bag to the DSP.
I then used a 1x3 inch piece of DSP and wrapped it around the  chocolates and added them to the bag.
I Used the gold cord to tie the bag shut and the decorated the top with the star and sentiment and cut them out with the 2" circle punch and the starbust punch.

Now to finish making all 20 treat bags for tomorrow night.

I almost forgot to tell you the DSP that I used tonight is the Dashing along DSP and it was a special free gift in September if your party reached or your own purchases reached $250. Well Stampin' Up are bringing it back as there have been some popular items that are nearly sold out of the holiday catalogue so if you would like this gorgeous DSP and weren't able to get it before you can now purchase it for just $19.25

Thanks for spending some time with me now pop on over to Claire's Blog to see who is hopping along tonight.

If you would like some more information do not hesitate to contact me.

Take Care

Wow,. Sharon, you have been very busy. What a great idea to heat emboss in copper your three wise men instead of colouring them all in. I'm sure your loved their treats and your gorgeous cards. what a thoughtful gift.

Oh my goodness, you have been a super busy mum this week. What an amazing achievement with all that stamping and embossing, but I'm sure they were appreciative of your effort!
