Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 16

Well after 16 weeks of The Heart of Christmas for 2019 we are on our last week. I can't believe it. I normally try and do a fancy or fun fold at least once and I hadn't gotten to it this year so I did it on the very last one.

I made for you a double dutch door card but a standing up one. I made a double dutch card a couple o years ago and you can check it out by clicking here.

I was kind of in a brain fog when making this card and started out making it with a 12x12 piece of card stock

Then realise this is not going to fit in an C6 envelope silly! I had a really bad migraine as I was trying to make my card and my brain was not working at all but I had challenged myself this year to put a card in every week for the Heart of Christmas so I was not going to miss a week.

 

As you can see the card is quite a bit smaller when you do it correctly to fit into an envelope! Sheesh!

I went back to the gorgeous Toile Christmas set for this card as I have just loved colouring this cardinal and as all my friends in the US are having lots of snow falling right now and we are going through a cold snap here in the south part of Australia I thought it was appropriate.

The idea of the standing dutch fold card is that you can lean the flap  on the 2 dutch doors so you can put your card on the mantle or buffet to display it. I kind of like that idea. Here is a side view so you can get my meaning.

I have until recently only seen double dutch fold cards landscape not portrait so they were always laying down.

I also stamped the verse on the inside but as you can see there is plenty of room to write.

You don't have to decorate both the outside and inside of the dutch doors but I like to do both.

When all folded it fits perfectly into our C6 envelopes ready for posting or giving to your favourite person for Christmas.

Now what did I use: I have a Basic Grey card base, Garden Green Layers and leaves, Toile Tidings DSP, Very Vanilla Card to stamp on and to cut out the Stitched Nested Lables Die. Soft suede card for the leaves, Vellum card stock also for the leave. I have also use the Toile Tiding glitter enamel dots and double stitched garden green ribbon. I stamped the Cardinal from the Toile Christmas Stamp set in soft suede ink and then used Real Red dark and light and Soft sued dark and light stampin' Blends to colour him in. Everything was cut out using the Christmas cardinal dies.

Stampin' Up! - Art With Heart Team Blog Hop November 2019 - Boxes and Gift Bags

The Art With Heart Team are back with another inspirational Blog Hop. This month we are featuring Gift Bags and Boxes, just in time for the Christmas gift giving season. The bags and boxes featured are all made using current Stampin’ Up! products and any of our wonderful team members are happy to help you with the supplies you will need to reproduce these beautiful projects.

Well I have been rather busy this past week with my working on helping my son push through getting his Cert IV in Disability and finish his assignments and placement.  Having autism he wanted to make sure that people like his sister and himself don't continue to fall through the cracks like they both have. I am very proud of him for taking this step. So while I have been sitting up with him and proof reading his work and giving moral support I have been working on gift bags and boxes to show you.

Last Saturday I had the break up lunch for my church fellowship that I run for the ladies and I got the idea from Ronda Wade of the blessing boxes. So I made 24 of them.

The mini pizza boxes that Stampin' Up have are just perfect for these blessing boxes and I think they were perfect for my church ladies.

On the outside I have layered Real Red card stock 3 1/4 x 3 1/4  inch square with a DSP layer of Let it Snow is 3x3 inches.  The coastal cabana circle is cut out using the layering circle dies and I have embossed the silver foil ornament with the Stylish scrolls 3D embossing folder.

The small ornament is red glimmer paper and is so sparkly! Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon knotted and adhered with a mini glue dot. You can see the little lines of Coastal Cabana between the Real Red lines on the Let is Snow DSP so that is why the circle is coastal cabana.

On the inside of the mini pizza boxes although they are food safe I have decorated the inside for this purpose with a stamp and a print out of some Scripture verses. The Stamp set I chose for the inside was Light and Peace and I stamped it in Memento ink and cut it out using the layering circle dies and my die cutting machine.

Once I had them all decorate I folded them up and filled them with lollies for the ladies.

I had so much fun doing these I decided to make a gold one with the Christmastime is here bundle as Stampin' Up! has Gold Mini Pizza Boxes in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.

I used similar measurements to the other mini pizza boxes but this time I used the Christmas rose stamp to stamp the image in cherry cobbler, old olive and mossy meadow. The sentiment is in Gold Glitz delicata ink and  cut out with the dies that come with the Christmastime is here suite.

I was having so much fun with the boxes that Stampin' Up! has that I thought I would decorate one of the Baker's Boxes that they have in preparation for  my online purchase of decorative rolling pins that I had bought to make Christmas biscuits/cookies!

I went back to my first lot of colouring and DSP of Let it Snow as who doesn't like real red and coastal cabana? 

I think these boxes are going to look so cute when I get these biscuits made. I am so glad that my rolling pins arrived today so I could take a photo for you so you could see what I was talking about. These Baker's Boxes are so cool and are food safe so make sure you get some for your Christmas baking gifts! Yum!

Ok so there has been so much assignment writing I had time to make one more thing.

I found this origami gift bag fold online and thought you know that would work so well with the thinner DSP like our Pressed Petal that we have so here you go. My daughter loves Japan and loves origami so when I saw this little gift bag I thought it was just gorgeous and on the sight paperkawii.com is where you can go to find the instructions to fold this bag.

I just love the fan like fold on the top of the  bag.

To make the bag you use a A4 size piece of paper or 21 cm x 29.5 cm 

This is the bottom of the bag and I have used tombow glue to adhere the bag together.

The Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is  a lovely touch to finish off this gift bag and all you need with such gorgeous paper from Stampin' Up!.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 15

Just 2 weeks left of  the Heart of Christmas for 2019 and tonight so I hope you have been enjoying all the inspiration each week.

Tonight I needed to make a very quick card as I have been flat out at home. Do you have times when things are just so busy and you need to make something so quick? Well this might be the layout for you. Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well and the Designer series paper is just gorgeous that you don't have to make things complicated.

Now this is a simple layout where you cut a card base, a layer of silver foil in this case, a layer of designer series paper and cut it in half. Have one side flipped over so you can show both sides of the cute paper add some gorgeous ribbon. Stamp a sentiment  cut it out with the stitched shaped framelits and the die cutting machine, cut a silver scalloped oval with your die cutting machine pop them up on some dimensionals and you are done.  So quick I made 3. Now you may notice the one hiding in the back is not current designer series paper. I was so happy that they were such quick cards I just pulled out some DSP and went for it. So you can see this is such a quick card so if you are hording all that gorgeous DSP get to it and whip up some last minute Christmas card to send out.

I was actually going with cherry cobbler as my colour choice this week as I wanted to use the Diagonal Stripe ribbon. I hadn't used it yet and it is just gorgeous! You can see that  it works even on a busy patterned paper. The other ribbon I have used is the Grey Granite textured weave ribbon.

For this card I have used the Night before Christmas DSP. As you can see I am using the host stamp set Greatest Part of Christmas and it is a really good sentiment stamp set.

This card I have use the Wrapped in Plaid DSP but although it has gold foil in the DSP Gold and Silver go together at Christmas time so well! 

Now this card is my ooops! I picked up a piece of retired DSP that got mixed up with all my current DSP as I had it left over and I must have just put it together in my little stack of Christmas papers, but hey it looks good. So if you have some sitting there get to it and make some cards so you can buy more gorgeous DSP. I just love it all, the pretty papers that Stampin' Up! has.

Stampin' Up! - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 14

Hello my crafty friends, it is week 14 of the Heart of Christmas and it is my privilege to host our Christmas blog hop this evening. So grab a cuppa and hop along with the talented team of ladies tonight for some fantastic Christmas inspiration.

Tonight I have wanted to get some ink on this stamp set for a while so I just had to do it tonight.

I have made 2 cards for you tonight using the God's Peace card set and have just slightly adjusted where I have put the images for a little bit of a different layout for both cards and both are really simple to do. All you need is your die cutting machine, Stampin' blends, God's Peace stamp set and away you go!

For the first card I chose to half case it from the Holiday catalogue that used the Beautiful Boughs Dies with this stamp set. I cut out some of the lovely small branches in mossy meadow to go under the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped in Celestial Copper Delicata ink and cut out with the stitched rectangle dies and popped it up on dimensionals But how did I make the background?

For the main image of the card I stamped the scripture verse in smokey slate at the top of the whisper white card layer and then again in smokey slate the gorgeous image of the candles and the poinsettia. I then got out my blends and had some fun. I used the dark and light Old Olive, dark and light Cherry Cobbler, dark and light Daffodil delight and to get the little light glow around the flame I used the colour lifter blend pen. For the ribbon I used the celestial copper ink with a blender pen. The center of the poinsettia is the gold glitter enamel dot from the Christmastime is here suite.

I have popped all of this on a base card of cherry cobbler and a layer of gorgeous glittery copper and mossy meadow DSP from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP pack.

For my second card it is even more simple to stamp and put together.

I have again on a piece of whisper white card stock stamped the scripture verse from the stamp set God's Peace at the top right hand side of the card and then instead of overlapping the candle image I have stamped it to the bottom left. Again both in Smokey slate.  I have coloured the image exactly the same way but this time I have used the golden Glitz Ink for the ribbon with my blender pen.

I have stamped the sentiment found in the Goldent Glitz ink and cut it out with the stitched shape framelit dies and then cut a scalloped circle out in gold foil with the layering circle dies and popped them up on some dimensionals. I have added a bit more bling with the gold glimmer enamel dots from the Christmastime is here Suite this time and layered it all on the gorgeous glittering copper DSP from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP. Copper and Gold go so well together!

Stampin' Up - Heart of Christmas 2019 - Week 13

Welcome to week 13 of The Heart of Christmas I am loving all the wonderful inspiration from the Art with Heart team so I hope you are hopping along with us.

Tonight I am bringing to you one more in my series of Toile Christmas cards and a card that I have made using the gorgeous Christmastime is here suite medley of products.

Ok so tonight I have made a card with the Toile Christmas stamp set and I didn't use the cardinal! Yes I know, shock, horror! You can make cards with out the gorgeous cardinal it is possible! LOL!

I know still the traditional Christmas colours but no cardinal. I did have a dream that I saw a red cardinal and I had to take a photo of it. See I am even dreaming about this stamp set and maybe because I didn't put on on this card the birds were telling me I need to get back to colouring! LOL!

So what did I do to make this card? 

I used real read card stock for the base. The beautiful Toile Tidings DSP layer on the base of the card then I used a vellum layer over the DSP but on the bottom right had corner of the vellum I stamped "For you with love" in soft suede and added the gorgeous Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots.

I have used the beautiful double stitched garden green ribbon and I have used the Christmas Cardinal dies that have these lovely little branches in it. I have cut them out in Soft suede, garden green and vellum card stock. I have stamped the largest branch in soft suede and cut it out using the largest circle in stitched shaped framelits. The sentiment on top is from the Toile Christmas stamp set again in soft suede and has been cut out with the Christmas Cardinal dies and popped up on dimensionals.

Have a go at trying a card with this suite with out the cardinal, but maybe don't have dreams about the gorgeous bird flying around and you needing to take a photo of it for everyone to see! LOL!

Now my second card tonight is using the gorgeous limited time offering of the Christmas time is here suite.

Now my card I have gone with one of my favourite colours, Blackberry bliss.

 I have stamped the beautiful large rose rose in memento ink I then used my Stampin' Blends. I used the Blackberry bliss for the rose and mint macaron for the leaves and the berries, cherry cobbler. Now for the pine needles I used my blender pen with some garden green ink and the pine cones I used the blender pen again but this time I used the delicata golden glitz ink.

I have used the large rose die that comes in the suite to cut out the rose and popped it up on some dimensionals. The card base is Blackeberry bliss with a layer of vellum and some of the DSP from the Christmastime is here suite. The Golden ribbon and gold glitter enamel dots also come in the suite as does the die that cut out the lattice behind the rose. I have also added some polka dot tuile ribbon!
Merry Christmas I have used the dies Word Wishes from the Annual Cataloge in gold foil. You may notice too that I have used wink of stella on the rose for that little bit of extra glitter.

You really must get your hands on this suite it is so gorgeous.
