Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.
Hello there and welcome to Week 9 of our 2023-24 Colour Creations Blog Hop and this week we have a new colour to add to our core colours in the refresh and it is Pecan Pie.
Now I lived in the US for 10 years and this was a staple of the pies to eat whenever you went to someone's place to have a meal or out to eat at a cafe. So Delicious! So I needed to make a card that was full of deliciousness. Of course I made a fancy fold!
All will be revealed!
Here is my colour combination for this project, not as many as last week.
I saw this card made by a UK crafter Sam Calcott about 5 years or so ago so I thought well I should give it a go. I was away with friends and watched a video of how to do it with no sound, to say that made it a lot more difficult to create would be a little bit of an understatement. The first attempt didn't work but the second did. I think I should get used to having those ear bud things in my ears but I don't like them! LOL!
So on the inside of the card when you untie the gorgeous Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon which is so super soft and just beautiful to tie you have a garden path and steps full of lattice and flowers!
This side on view shows the steps so much better!
So as on the front of the card I have continued down the centre of the steps the Glorious Gingham DSP in Pecan Pie. Along the edges of the steps and like the edges of the path I have used strips of Pecan Pie card stock.
The flowers on the outside and the inside are from the Petal Park stamp set and I have stamped them in Sweet Sorbet, Crushed Curry and Old Olive and I used the Blender pen to draw out some of the ink from the centre to add a little colour. The Sentiments are stamped in Pecan Pie from the Nature's Prints stamp set (keeping it all in the one theme here) and then die cut out with the Nested Essential dies!
Of course you need a place to write your message so I have added some Basic White card to the back of the card and another little Sweet Sorbet flower!
Here is a quick video of the card opening!
If you have any questions about my project today don't hesitate to contact me.

Welcome to week 8 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are introducing the colour Lemon Lolly! Doesn't that just make you want to go out and get a lovely lemon drop lolly/candy to pop in your mouth while you read and hop along to all the inspiration of the Art with Heart team this week. At my house we like them with some lemon sherbet in the centre! But I digress enough about lollies and back to the lovely Lemon Lolly Colour that has been added to our Subtles Collection
This week I am playing with a new bundle for me Timeless Arrangements and new in our annual catalogue! Well I love it and you can find it on page 67. Lots of sentiments and the dies are fantastic! You can stamp out the images, colour and cut them out, just die cut them out, have labels in different sizes and the foliage fits the labels in layers. Oh there is so much that can be done with this bundle I think I will be coming back to it time and time again. No wonder they called it Timeless Arrangements!
So here is my colour combination for this project! I couldn't resist adding a little Blackberry Bliss!
I know that might look a lot but wait until you see the card!
I have used the Lemon Lolly as the card base and on the card base I have stamped the little overlapping circle stamp in Lemon Lolly ink on the card base. Colour on Colour! Then I went to town with my die cutting! I used all the different joined foliage in the different colours of Soft Sea Foam, Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake. Then I stamped again colour on colour of Old Olive on Old Olive for some leaves and cut them out. I added some more Crumb Cake foliage from another die and stamped the flower and other stamp in smoky slate. Ok I don't know what to call that other stamp. The bubble one on a stem!
So the Bubble one on a stem and the flower I coloured with the Stampin' Blends. I coloured the flower with the Dark and Light Lemon Lolly and Old Olive, and the Bubble One with the light and Dark Wild Wheat. In this photo you can also see that I have stamped the overlapping circle image in Lemon Lolly on the card base.
When you have all your pieces cut out you simply adhere them to the back of your label which I have stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with the largest label in the set. Each of the foliage pieces layer and sit perfectly behind. I then added the Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon plus my coloured flowers and bubble ones and the cut out stamped Old Olive leaves and extra Crumb Cake sprigs.
I just love the way they all layer together I am going to have to play with this bundle more so look out for this set in weeks to come.

Welcome to Week 7 of the 2023-2024 Colour Creations Blog Hop and this week we are looking at the lovely soft pink of Bubble Bath! It is a new colour that has been added to our core colours in the colour refresh.
This week I have used the Petal Park and Timeless Arrangement stamp sets to create my card to give a delicate composition to the card.
The colours that I have used to stamp the flower and the leave are firstly Bubble Bath with the Melon Mambo over the top and then Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive again over the top in the two step stamping of the flowers and leaves.
Although the Petal Park stamp set comes with a builder punch I wanted to stamp on the card and not punch out the flowers this time.
I love the you can line up these photopolymer stamps so easily so that I could stamp the solid colour of the Bubble bath before stamping the Melon Mambo over the top to give the definition of the flowers. The same for the leaves. I then wrapped the Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon around the card and tied it in a bow.
This gorgeous ribbon comes in a pack of 3 along with Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly.
I am loving the sentiments on Timeless arrangements so I had to use this one and I cut it out using the Deckled Rectangles and then again in the Bubble Bath card stock using my little trick of making it a little smaller if you want a smaller border.
I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals and then the front of the card on dimensionals on a base of Bubble Bath card. If you have trouble getting your bow to stay in place you can add a little mini glue dot under it to make sure it doesn't move.
If you have any questions or would like to get hold of this gorgeous new core colour of Bubble Bath please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for spending some crafty time with me today, take care,
Welcome to week 6 and this week we are delving into the new and returning colours that will make up the staples of the colours the Stampin' Up! will be offering. This week we will be looking at one of the new colours that has been introduced in the colour refresh called Azure Afternoon.
Azure afternoon is Blue in as many languages as I can find and it also made me think of Jazz music so I went in search to see if there was a song and there are a couple of songs and even an album called Blue Afternoon. So I think we are on a winner with this new colour!
This week I have done a simple card as I needed a quick card so I thought I would case the Annual Catalogue for a design. The Catalogue is always a good place to find a card design if you need something quick. Also a perfect time for this card as the sale of Designer Series Paper is on right now so don't forget to grab yourself a bargain! So I cased the card on page 21 of the Annual Catalogue.
For my card this week I have used the Seasonal Branches stamp set and dies Bundle I thought a blue bird was the perfect idea and the annual catalogue agreed with me! HEHE!
I stamped the little blue bird from the Seasonal Branches first in Memento Black ink before colouring in with Light and Dark Azure afternoon Stampin' Blends and a little bit of Light Balmy Blue.
I cut the bird out using the Seasonal Branches Dies and while I was there I used the dies to cut out some flowers in Daffodil delight card stock. You can see here that I popped them up on mini dimensionals.
Now the card is put together on a layer of Thick Basic White card and the DSP that is a full card front size is part of the Les Shoppes pack and I think it is a gorgeous design that will be perfect for lots of backgrounds. I have then layered a piece of the Azure Afternoon card stock before cutting out the largest Tailored Tag die and stamping the branch in Pecan Pie from the Seasonal Branches. The little "Thanks" is stamped in Azure Afternoon ink and cut out with a die from Something Fancy Die set and shortened to fit the length of the word.
If you have any questions about my project today or if you would like to get your hands on some of these wonderful new products, please do not hesitate to contact me.
