Heart of Christmas - 2024 - Week 7 - Merry Christmas Pop Up Gift Box

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop week 7 for 2024. Each week on a Monday from August - end of November the Art with Heart team will bring you some Christmas inspiration for you.

This week I thought I would try something a little different,....... a fancy fold! I had you there for a minute didn't I! HeHe! Literally as I was typing this I was choking on my tea! Yes I am doing a fancy fold but I am doing it with a difference this week. It will be in the shape of a gift box. I found this design on Pinterest, it was a short video of about 51 seconds actually by Junzi. I have created a template which I will add as I show you so that you know how I put the box together.

So let's get started.

First you will need to cut 2 of the first template which is the outside of the box.

For the inside of the box you need to cut 1.

Once you have built the 3 sections join them together.
The 2 sections on the Black card stock is where you attach your middle box.
The 2 black sections then closes up as the box.

To make the mechanism work and to attach it to the box you need to cut 2 of each of the 2 pieces left.

Slide the mechanism through the slits made on the box and attach to the top inside of the black box.

Then we are all about the decorations.

When you have the box all closed up I have wrapped it in the beautiful Blackberry Bliss and Gold Ribbon and stamped a Bauble from Hang an Ornament in Lost Lagoon and stamped the sentiment in versamark and heat gold embossed and attached it with a little linen thread after cutting it out with the Hang an Ornament dies.
When you open the box I have stamped some beautiful trees from the Peaceful Evergreens in Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Coastal Cabana and for the main tree added a die cut of Gold Foil. To attach them to the pop up mechanism I used window sheets.
From the front it give a lot of depth to the trees.
I have used a little layer of Winter Meadows DSP before Gold Embossing a sentiment from the Peaceful Season stamp set and die cut using one of the label dies from the Peaceful Seasons dies. On the back of the box I have cut another label for you to write to the recipient.
Here is a little video of my finished project opening and closing.

We are now in September and our September-December Mini Catalogue is available so if you would like to ask any questions about my project today or would like to get your hands on the new Mini please don't hesitate contact me.

Welcome to week 20 of the 2024-25 Colour Creations Blog Hop. Each week on a Wednesday the Art with Heart Team take one of the colours from the Stampin' Up range and challenge themselves to create with making that colour the feature! This week we have a favourite of many and a neutral colour - Crumb Cake!
For my card this week I have used a card sketch and cased her card at Stamps-n-Linger by Mary Dethrage and she has used this sketch by Freshly made sketches

Here is the colour combination I have used for my card.

I know you are saying no fancy fold. Well yes every now and then I need to have a break! I have used the beautiful Changing leaves bundle. It has the stamp set and the Hybrid Embossing Folder and Die and the Changing Leaves Dies as well. It is a fantastic bundle.

I have a Crumb Cake Base and then a layer of Crumb Cake which I have embossed with the Changing Leaves Embossing Folder. Over the top of this gorgeous base I have layered die cut leaves and twigs in Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla along with stamped Moody Mauve and die cut leaves for a pop of colour! The sentiment is stamped is Crumb Cake and is from the Changing Leaves stamp set and I have used the Changing Leave dies to cut it out and layered it on a piece of Country Woods DSP which I also used the Changing Leaves Dies to cut out. I had to have some bling so I used the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins that comes in 4 colours!

This layout and design could be used with any of our other colours to have a "pop" of colour it is such a versatile layout and the wonderful Crumb Cake!

If you have any questions about my project today please do not hesitate to contact me.

Now is the time to head to the next person on our journey of  Crumb Cake and this week you will be heading to Rachel Woollard, I can't wait to see what she has created this week. Hit the next blog button and you will go straight there.

Heart of Christmas - Week 6 - Peaceful Evergreens Turtle Flap Fancy Fold Card

Welcome to week 6 of The Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. I do hope that you have been loving our last few weeks of our Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2024.

This week I have found another fancy fold for you and I have paired it with the Peaceful Evergreen Bundle and the Peaceful Season Bundle.

This is what the card looks like before I started to decorate.
The base of the card is in Lost Lagoon then I have layered with Pretty Peacock and the gorgeous Winter Meadow DSP.
On the inside I have used Pretty Peacock card for the mechanism and I have used the Winter Meadow DSP again for all the layers. The gorgeous trees on one side but the other side gives a lovely contrast that we can use.
The surprise for this fold is if you pull on the edge of the trees on the contrast strips you have 4 flaps pop out and there is your Turtle Flap Fancy Fold Card. Now for the decorations.
I have used the Thoughtful Wishes dies in white to back my Christmas Tree. The tree has been stamped in Lost Lagoon on the reverse side of the DSP then I have cut it out with the Peaceful Evergreen Dies. I have cut out in Gold Foil the over layer and the star with the dies from the same set. I have Gold Embossed onto Pretty Peacock and then Cherry cobbler onto Basic White for the Merry Christmas from the Peaceful Season stamp and then used the Peaceful Season Dies to cut them out. The were popped up on dimensionals.
The decorations on the inside of the card are made using the Peaceful Evergreen stamps and dies again and I have stamped and embossed in gold sentiments from the Peaceful Seasons stamp set and used the label die to cut it out as well.
I have used 5 other sentiments for the pop outs.
On the bottom pop out I used 2

Here is a video of how the card works.

If you have any questions about my card today or would like to get your hands on the new Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue please do not hesitate to contact me.

Welcome to our weekly Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are looking at the lovely brown of Copper Clay.
Today I have been searching the many different fancy folds around to bring you and I found one that Barry at Mituso Craft in the UK did a video for and I have recreated it using the A Little Latte Collection.

As you can see from the front of the card it looks like a normal regular card it is only as it opens that you see the surprise. I will show you that in a minute. Let me tell you how I created the decoration on the front.

The card base is our colour of the week Copper Clay and then I have a layer of Early Espresso. For the next layer I have used the stamps in the Love Latte stamp set and stamped in Copper Clay and Early Espresso the drops of coffee onto the Basic White card and then the coffee beans in Early Espresso to create my own background. The using the Deckled Circle Dies I have cut out a layer of Copper Clay card and the coffee cups from the A Little Latte DSP. Again using the Love Latte Dies, I have cut out the coffee Plunger in Copper Clay and the inside with the DSP and the Lemon Lolly Cup is also from the DSP. The Sentiment is stamped in Copper clay and cut out using the Deckled Rectangle Dies.

When you open the card you have another sentiment and a coffee pot, a couple of cups cut out of the DSP being handed to you and it all folds down into your coffee table. I have stamped the coffee cup in Copper Clay and used my Blender pen to draw out the ink to add a little more colour and the coffee is very strong in this one!
Here is a video of the card opening for you so that you know how it works.
On the back of the card is where you will need to add a panel so that you can write your message to the recipient.
I have tied the card together with the White diagonal trim from Petal Pink and White Combo pack.

If you have any questions about my card today please do not hesitate to contact me.

Heart Of Christmas - Week 5 - 2024

Welcome to week 5 of the Heart of Christmas. This week I have for you a Book Binding fold with a pop up on the inside! I found this extra little part to the Book Binding Fold on Karen Titus page a US Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I have used the Seasons of Green and Gold Suite and Peaceful Season Bungle for this card.
For the base of the card I have used Mossy Meadow card stock and cut it in half vertically then scored in half and 1 inch along from the center fold on one side to create the book fold. Then we have all the lovely decorations a layer of Cherry cobbler card then the Season of Green and Gold Specialty. I have a different one on the edge of the book. I have die cut out the leaves and fussy cut out the bell and after adding a square of Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla and the reverse side of one of the pieces of DSP on it's point I have placed it all up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Seasons Stamp set and I have gold embossed it before using the Peaceful Seasons Dies to cut out the label.
When you open the card the Green and Gold Specialty Paper has been folded in the center and folds out when you open the card.
On this one side I have used a sentiment from the Greetings of the Season.
On this side of the card I have made a space for writing to the recipient and you could always add more on the back of your card, I have decorated with the Graceful Greenery Vellum.

If you have any questions about my card today please do not hesitate to contact me.
