Heart of Christmas - 2024 - Week 12

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas week 12 already and only 5 more to go for this year as there are only 9 more weeks until Christmas! Excuse me please, where did the year go?!

For my projects today I have channeled my dear friend Tina Gillespie who has not been able to play along with us for Heart of Christmas this year and she always brought us a Sheet Load of Card sketch for us to play along with. So I thought I would have a look at one today and pop out a couple of different versions from the sketch that I found.

So the sketch was from July this year and you can search for it using the #slctjul2024. I started with that which was for a 5x7 card and made it for our size cards here in Australia and added a little bit.  The whole ideas is to get heaps of cards and for this particular design you can get 6 out of the 12x12 sheet of DSP with some left over for other projects.

So CARD No1:

I have started with a Lost Lagoon Base and layered with Crumb Cake piece that I have embossed with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder. The DSP layer is from the Frames and Flowers Specially DSP pack, then I have cut 2 strips of Lost lagoon and 2 strips from the Seasons of Green and Gold Specialty DSP. I then used the Metallics WOW Gold embossing powder to heat emboss the Merry Christmas and then cut it out with a Stylish shapes Dies. I layers that on one of the Frames from the Frames and Flowers DSP pack popped it up on dimensionals added some Iridescent Pearls as you just have to have some bling!

CARD No 2:
Card No. 2 is a lot closer to the original sketch but I have added the birch wood embossed background and the Christmas tree. For the Christmas tree I have stamped the tree from the Peaceful Evergreens in Lost Lagoon then die cut with the Peaceful Evergreen Dies along with the gold foil overlay and the star! Again the sentiment is the same as card one but cut off the bottom and slightly tucked under the bottom strip.
Hope you like my couple of versions of Sheet Load of Cards that you can quickly make if you are still in need of lots of cards to make to send for Christmas.

Sharon, thank you for channeling Tina with your two Sheet Load of Card sketch inspired Christmas cards. These are fabulous cards and you've inspired me to have a go at some of their designs too. Thank you also for adding me to the blog hop at the very last minute.

Great cards, Sharon; I like how you've combined Christmas and non-Christmassy elements. I am enjoying your use of Lost Lagoon on your Christmas cards this year. It looks so lovely with Crumb Cake. Your second card is my favourite - just gorgeous!

Two amazing cards Sharon, lovely interpretations of the card sketch. I love the gold highlights on the tree and greetings

Yes I am missing Tina's inspiration too. I really like the two different takes on this sketch. Really like the non traditional Christmas colours too. Great work!
