Stampin' Up! - Art With Heart Team Blog Hop July 2019 - Simple Stamping

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring Simple Stamping, which means our projects feature only paper, stamps and ink. It’s a great way to create a quick and easy card for new stampers or for when you need a card at short notice. These projects highlight how Stampin’ Up! ink, paper and card stock coordinates perfectly.
If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

I have a few different cards to show you for our Simple Stamping Blog Hop tonight.
I have really been enjoying using the Daisy Lane stamp set so I have paired it with the Thank you sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set for my first set of cards.
Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart

For this first card I have done the same card but in 4 different ways.

The first way I used a post it note to help guide where I might stamp the gorgeous daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set.
Daisy Lane, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart

As you can see I just popped it in the middle of the card and then proceeded stamp around the edge of the Thick Whisper white card stock. I chose the Thick Whisper white card as it is a great card to start with for any beginner stamper. I used a few different colours here but you don't have to you could use just one or 2.  Everyone has post it notes hanging around at home and if you don't ask your kids or grandkids they need them for school so you can borrow some from them.
Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with heart

As you can see when you take off the post it note you have  this beautiful clear spot for your Thank You or Happy Birthday etc. The colours that I have used in these Daisy cards are Rococo Rose, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive and Smokey Slate. What colour combo would you use?

Ok so the second way you could do this card is just to go completely free hand without the guide of the post it note.
Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart

So completely an easy thing to do I started with the Rococo Rose daisies in the corners, then the daffodil delight on the sides and the flirty flamingo daisies and filled in the spaces with the old olive ferns before adding in the sentiment in the middle of the card.

If you have some other coloured card stack you could add a little bit of extra interest you your card by stamping your sentiment on a piece of whisper whit card and then back it in one of the colours that you choose for your flowers. We love how Stampin' Up! has everything match so easily.
Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart, Rococo Rose

Now I have one more step up of this card for you to see. I have stamped the daisies on some whisper white card stock but have used the new in colour Rococo Rose as the card base to this card.

Daisy Lane, Daisy Delight, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in Craft, Art with heart

For my next card have used the gorgeous Perennial Essence DSP. Stampin' Up have such gorgeous Designer Series paper that you can use a piece of place it on the the front of your card and your decoration is almost done. Just put a sentiment on the front.
First Frost, Rooted in Nature, Perennial Essence, Simple stamping, rhapsody in craft, art with heart

I decided to stamp the beautiful flower from first frost on some whisper white and then the large thinking of you from the Rooted in Nature.

To show off the gorgeous DSP I have cut the front of the card base a little short so that you can see the other side of it. DSP has 2 sides and it is a shame to not to show them both off.
Perennial Essence, First Frost, Rooted in Nature, Simple Stamping, Rhapsody in craft, art with heart

Now for my final card tonight I have really gone all out with the gorgeous DSP and use the Pressed Petal DSP. I saw this design on Ronda Wades facebook page and just adjusted the measurement for our Australian card sizes plus changed it up a bit to fit with our theme of simple stamping of only using paper, stamps and ink,
Woven Heirlooms, Pressed Petals DSP, Simple stamping, Rhapsody in craft, art with heart

As you can see this is a tri fold card but don't let that fool you to think that it is hard. Really simple to make. The card base is like a normal card base but just cut it in half. Then with get your gorgeous DSP and you can cut that in half to make it a 6x12 inch piece. I then trimmed that down a little bit make it have a border and a little off then end folded it into 3.
Woven Heirlooms, pressed petals, simple stamping, rhapsody in craft, art with heart

On the front I have stamped on Whisper which a little border stamp in crumb cake and then the sentiment in Rococo Rose.

Hope you enjoyed these few ideas of simple stamping if you have any questions please let me know and I will be happy to help you .

Stampin' Up - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Purple Posy

Purple Posy, Daisy Lane, Floral , fancy fold, Rhapsodyincraft, Colour Creations, Art With heart

Hello lovely crafters,
it has been so long since I have been able to participate in a Colour Creations blog hop but I wanted to make sure I got in on the final one. Tonight the team are showcasing one of the new In Colors - Purple Posy. It is such a gorgeous colour and there are so many options in the new catalogue for you to chose from. I have used both of these options, Purple Posy Card Stock and Woven Threads DSP which uses all 5 of the new In Colors.

So for this last Colour Creations blog hop I had to go fancy fold.
Purple Posy, In Color, Daisy Lane, Floral Essence, Fancy Fold, Slider Pop up Card, Rhapsody In Craft, Colour Creations, Art With Heart
I have made a slider pop up card. Quite a fancy name but not hard to make and I thank Youtube and the lovely crafty ladies for your instructions.

Purple Posy, Fancy fold, Slider Pop up card, Daisy Lane, Floral Essence, Rhapsodyincraft, Art with heart
The card fold flat so you can put it straight in an envelope. You can see here that I have punched out a little half circle with the 1 1/8" starburst punch so you can pull out your slide.

Purple posy, Daisy Lane, Floral Esssence, slider pop up card, In Color, colour creations, rhapsodyincraft, art with heart
I thought having some gorgeous Daisies punched out with the medium daisy punch in the Woven Threads DSP and layer 2 together. Add an In color  faceted dot for bling! Stamp the stems in old ink and fussy cut out and attached them to a piece of acetate to make them look like they are floating in front of the basket and sitting in the the flower box labeled friend.

When you have pulled out your with the little mechanisms put in place your card should stand up all on its own.

Using the Floral Essence stamp set I just love the sentiment and it is just perfect to go along with the word Friend out of the Daisy Lane stamp set.  I stamped that is crumb cake to match the cardstock of the basket backing and punched that out with the 1 inch circle punch and then backed that with a piece of Woven Threads DSP cut out with the Starburst punch.

If you have any questions about my card tonight or about purchasing products to make this card or would like a copy the new Annual Catalogue please don't hesitate to contact me.

Now please hop on over to the lovely Catherine Proctor's Blog as she is the host of the Colour Creations to see who else created tonight with this beautiful colour - Purple Posy

Stampin' Up! - Art With Heart Team Blog Hop June 2019 - In Color Theme

In Color, Floral Essence, Daisy Lance, Perennial Essence DSP, Rhapsody in craft, Art with heart

Tonight, the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring “In Colors” theme. Check out the new 2019 - 2021 In colors and let’s not forget the current 2018 - 2020 In Colors. If you would like a copy of the 2019-2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

You would have come to me from the lovely   Rebecca Jacavou  on your blog hop journey, let’s continue our fun.

I don’t know about you, but I just love it when a new annual catalogue comes out and we get to see what the new “In Colours” are! It is so exciting! I have chosen to feature the very new 2019-2021 in colours in the blog hop tonight. Plus one extra!

I have made a set of 5 cards of the same design using the new 2019-2021 In Colors to show you tonight,

I have used the Floral Essence Bundle for my cards tonight. Great to get a stamp set and punch in a bundle for 10% savings!
Rhapsodyincraft, In colours, Floral Essence Bundle, Floral Essence, Daisy Lane, Art with heart

With each card I have made exactly the same design and used my blender pen to colour in the flower. I have punched out 3 of each flowers and put them together to make a gorgeous full flower and added the In Color Faceted Dots. Just perfect!

Rhapsodyincraft, Rococo Rose, In Colours, Art With Heart, Floral Essence, Daisy Lane

I have stamped the leaves from the Floral Essence stamp set in Old olive for each of the cards and punched them out using the leaf punch. This is a fabulous punch to have as it goes with a few stamp sets and plus who wants flowers without some leaves!
Rhapsody in craft, Pretty Peacock, In Colors, Floral Essence,Daisy Lane, Art with heart

With the Pretty Peacock card I would like to bring your attention to the little bit of ribbon that is with the flower on each card. This is a double sided 1 cm reversible ribbon it is Old Olive on one side and Pretty Peacock on the other it has a beautiful sheen and is just gorgeous to look and and so soft. I have used the old olive side facing out.

Rhapsody in craft, Purple Posy, In Colors, Floral Essence Bundle, Floral Essence, Daisy Lane, Art with heart

Ok I know you have noticed that the Purple Posy flower is slightly different. Well that I because the stamp pad and ink has a bit of a quality issue at the moment so once that is all good we can order it again. But while we are waiting there are many Purple Posy products for us to chose from. Stampin’ Bends, ribbon, DSP, card stock, plenty to keep us busy. I have chosen to stamp the flower onto the gorgeous Woven Threads DSP which has all the lovely new In Colors represented in the pack of DSP.

Now there are 2 more In Colors that you need to see up close Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile
Rhapsody in craft, Seaside Spray, In color, Floral Essence Bundle, Floral Essence, Daisy Lane, Art with heart
As you can see with each of the cards I have used some of the In Color DSP to decorate the flap of the envelope. It is nice to your envelopes pretty too!
Rhapsody in craft, Terracotta Tile, Floral Essence Bundle, Floral Essence, Daisy Lane, Art with heart

The Floral Essence stamp sent has a beautiful sentiment that comes with it and if you package all 5 of these cards together to give to a friend. You may have noticed that the Sentiment on the front is the word Friend and is cut out using the Stitched Nesting Labels Dies. That stamp comes from the lovely Daisy Lane stamp set.

Now can you guess what In Color from 2018-2020 I have used for my last card?  Of course you can, Blueberry Bushel. I chose this colour because of the gorgeous new Perennial Essence DSP which has Blueberry Bushel as one of its colours. I am in love with this DSP so you have to get some.

Stampin' Up - Art With Heart Team Blog Hop January 2019 - Occasions Catalogue

Tonight, the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects using product from the occasions catalogue. The occasions catalogue is current now until June 3rd. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today (along with the sale-a-bration brochure).
Did you know that sale-a-bration is also a great time to join our fabulous team. Ask anyone on the blog hop if you’d like more details.

I was very excited when I saw this suite in the Occasions catalobue as I not only love to stamp and do paper crafts but I also love to sew. I have used the Needlepoint Nook Suite.

Needlepoint Nook, Needle and Thread, Needlepoint Elements Framelits, Rhapsody in craft, Art with Heart

I have used the colours of the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper as my guide for the colour combination for both cards. I was having a bit of a play with this set as we were doing a card swap as a team and these are the 2 cards that I came up with.

My first card tonight is the one on the right.
Needlpoint nook , needle and thread, needlepoint elements framelits, rhapsody in craft, art with heart

I have used the colours Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Balmy blue.  To make the little squares I have stamped the flowers in the different colours and then stamped the flower on a  separate piece of paper and cut it out as a mask to place over the flower so that I could stamp the little leaves. I then used the stitched shaped framelits to cut out all the squares. On the Whisper white layer I have used one of the embossing framelits that come in the needlepoint elements which is just so pretty. I popped them all up on dimensionals. I used the memento ink for the sentiment and then put it thought the big shot to add the stitching and punched it out with with the pretty label punch and offset it with the gorgeous balmy blue.

For my second card I went all out and this is the card I used for my swap. I went hunting for a card sketch to use for this one just to give me an idea on design. I found a great one on dawnstampinthoughts for the layout.
I love giving myself the challenge of sketches to see what I can come up with.

Needlepoint nook, needle and thread, needlpoint elements framelits, rhapsody in craft, art with heart

The colours in this card are again take from the gorgeous Needlepoint Nook DSP. Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Petal Pink and Whisper white.

Using the gorgeous DSP as your colours guide make it so easy to know what colours go together.
Again with this card I have used the embossing framelit in the needlepoint elements framelit dies then cut it out with the layering ovals dies and backed it with some highland heather. The sentiment has been inked up with Night of navy then put through the big shot with the stitched shaped framellits.

The flowers are soft and subtle in powder pink and backed with mossy meadow and old olive leaves were all cut out with the needlepoint framelits and then layered together over the gorgeous DSP. Don't you just love this paper?

Don't forget to decorate the inside of your card it can be as simple as putting a little sentiment and a flower.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the very talented, Kimberley Hern.

Thank you for spending some time with me today and if you want to try your hand at some cards using this great suite don't hesitate to contact me

Stampin' Up! - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Night Of Navy

Night of Navy is a gorgeous colour and this week’s colour creations challenge.

Tonight, I have made a card and a little chocolate gift purse. I need to make an invitation for my first church Girlfriend’s night back that I run once a month. We are having a fundraising dinner to raise money to empower, educate and help fund start up businesses for women in Africa. We will be doing little fundraisers throughout the year. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month and for February it will be Valentines day so a love dinner will be a great way to start!
Butterfly Gala, Rhapsody in craft, Colour Creations Blog hop, Butterfly duet punch Garden impressions DSP, Night of Navy

For my card I have used the Butterfly Gala stamp set which is in the new Occasions catalogue. I just love Butterflies and I the sentiment I think is just great for an invitation. Who wouldn’t feel welcome when they see this sentiment… “The food things in life are better with you” Then I will put the invitation on the inside of the card.

Butterfly Gala, Rhapsody in craft, Butterfly duet punch, botanic butterfly dsp, night of navy, colour creations blog hop, art with heart

So what did I use to decorate the card front. I first put the Night of Navy card stock through the big shot with the Subtle TIEF just to give the card base a little bit of texture.  The blue butterflies are part of the Botanical Butterfly Designer series paper that is found in the Sale- A bration catalogue and I have used the dark and light Night of Navy Blends to colour them in. You can get this gorgeous paper for free when you spend $90 on product. I think I might have to spend some more to get another lot.

I stamped the sentiment on whisper white card stock in Night of navy ink and cut it out with the stitched shape framelits and popped it up on some dimensionals over the burlap ribbon. The little butterfly is stamped in memento and then I have used so saffron, and powder pink for the colours. With the stamp set it is so easy to colour your butterflies as they give you the solid stamps to do so if you would like. Plus, a little bling and your card is done! Of course, you can colour your butterflies any complimentary colour you like.

Butterfly Gala, rhapsody in craft, garden impressions DSP, butterfly duet punch, night of navy, art with heart colour creations blog hop

For our little chocolate treat bags, I found the design on Dawn Stamping thoughts and she used a 6x6 inch piece of designer series paper. I have used the Garden Impressions DSP which has Night of Navy as one of its colours and they are already in 6x6. A little bit of folding, a couple of pieces of night of navy card stock and it is so cute. I cut out the clasp to my bag with the pretty label punch and used the Needlepoint elements framelits dies to get the beautiful stitched edge.  It fits perfectly inside the punch.

I attached the clasp to the back of the bag with tear and tap and then to hold everything in place I used little Velcro dots. I put the chocolates in first to make sure I had the correct position before closing the clasp down and adhering it all in place.
Butterfly Gala, Rhapsody in craft, Garden impressions DSPm Butterfly duet punch, night of navy, Art with heart colour creations blog hop

The ribbon is so much fun and it is part of the Classic Garage suite in the Occasions Catalogue and could possibly be classed as a male oriented suite but I just love the black and silver striped ribbon for all things and my daughter would love this as she isn’t a very pink and girly girl, so these colours would be perfect for her!

As I am actually doing the little bags for ladies other than my daughter, I thought I had better put a pink butterfly on the front of the clasp so you would know which side you needed to open to get to your chocolates. You can put what ever chocolates you like in these, I have put in some favourites but 2 ferero rochers fit in them as well

To cut out the butterflies in both projects I have used the new butterfly duet punch found in the new Occasions catalogue!

As always if you would like any details on how to make these items or would like to get your hands on the products and the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogues don’t hesitate to contact me.

Please head over now to the lovely Cathy Proctors Blog to see who else is participating in this week’s colour challenge.

Thank you for spending some time with me today.
