Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Welcome to week 7 of the Heart of Christmas 2026. A group of creative friends from the Art with Heart team are back with our Annual Heart of Christmas blog hop. Follow through the blogs each Monday night until the end of November for Christmas card inspiration. This week I found my box of white candles while looking for something completely different in my house and thought yes this is what I will make for our Heart of Christmas blog hop!

They are really fun to make and they make a great gift. I thought I would make these for my daughter's boyfriends Mother for Christmas. I wanted to make them quite neutral in colour and a little pop of green which is her favourite colour.

To start the process you stamp the images you wish you use on which tissue paper. The hardest thing about this process was finding white tissue paper! There is ever other colour out there but white was a little elusive!

Cut away most of the excess tissue paper, you don't need it!

On the back of your image colour what part you would like. I coloured Mary and Joseph in Dark Soft Sea Foam and Baby Jesus in light Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends. I let it dry and then went over it a second time just to give a little more depth of colour even though I was going for very subtle with this set of candles!

To adhere the images to your candle you need to place them where you want I layed a piece of baking paper over so that I could hold it tight and with your Heat Gun on low melt the wax of the candle up through the tissue paper to hold the image onto the candle! Soft and subtle are these version but you can do any of the gorgeous Christmas stamps or make your own scene with any combination of stamps.

Your candles look fabulous, Sharon. It has been years since I last used this technique and the nativity scene is perfect for it.
