Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Clammy Pete - Welcome to the Family!

Today I have for you one of the latest releases from Sunshine’s Stamps. It is Clammy Pete.

We have just had an engagement of a lovely couple at church and when clammy came out this week it inspired me to make a welcome to the family card.

I have combined a couple of challenges to make this card. I have used the sketch from Midnight Madness and also from C.R.A.F.T. challenge this week which was to have some embossing or any kind on your card.

Here is the sketch that I used from Midnight Madness.

And my version of the the sketch:

I have embossed the base of the card with Fiskars texture plate using the filigree design. I thought the swirls would work well with an under water creature. The patterned papers are from Stampin’ Up Urban Garden DSP and also the dotty paper is from Creative Memories Cabana DP. The Base of the card is Night of Navy Card stock from SU and Clammy Pete and the DSP is backed with Bordering Blue card stock from SU. I have also added some dazzling diamonds from Stampin up on Clammy Pete and a couple of little flowers and pearls for embellishments. The colours that I have used for Clammy Pete are Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Bashful Blue, Ballet Blue and Sahara Sand all of which are Stampin’ Up’s Stampin’ Write Markers.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look. Hopefully next week I will have a bit more time to show you some other projects that I have sitting here waiting to show you. I have had a dreadful week with my migraines and nothing seems to be helping.
Hope that you are all having a great day.
Take Care
