Welcome to my happy place.

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will find some inspiration for your projects as I have from many lovely people. This is just a little space for me to share some of my cards, scrap book pages and maybe even some of my embroidery and quilting projects.

Enjoy and stop back often.

Week 33 - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Pacific Point

Welcome to another week of creations with the Art With Heart Team and our Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week we are looking at the bright blue colour of Pacific Point!
Today I have for you a note card. OK a stack of note cards! I needed 38 of them. I have taken on a new leadership role at my church where I will be taking the craft group. It is a group of mostly retired seniors that meet weekly and they do many and varied crafts from knitting/crochet, sewing/patchwork/quilting to painting and card making. So I am excited to start and support the women in this weekly group and I wanted to send them a little card to say hello!

Rhapsody in craft, Pacific Point, Hello, Friendship card, Handmade for you, Beauty of the Earth, Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, Heart & Home DSP, Vellum Layering Designs, Masking Technique, Tailor Made Tag Dies, Note Cards, Crafting Cards, #colourcreationsbloghop, Stampin' Up!,

I have used the Handmade for you stamp set which has all  the lovely made for you, made with love and the Stampin' Up! copy write stamp that you stamp on the back of your cards when you sell your cards. I thought it was perfect for my little hello card. Plus the I found the perfect sized Hello stamp in the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.

There are quite a few elements to the card and once I had cut out all the tags in Soft Sea Foam I too the sewing form and as I just wanted to stamp the stand I covered it with the post it notes that I used last week for my masking. I used my Stamparatus as I wanted to do all 38.

Now make sure you don't get distracted by the tennis or by a family member and you take the post it note or tape or what ever you use off the stamp after you ink it up so that you don't end up having this little disaster on your hands.
Well this looks a lot better and I stamped this in Smokey Slate. By the way you can get 24 of this size tag out of 1 sheet of A4 card stock.

To create the little hello tag I used the same shape but just the small one. I first cut the back end and then to shorten the tag I lined the tag back up in the stitched holes and put it back through the Cut 'N' Emboss machine.

I was ready to put all my cards together in one go now that I had all my elements: Pacific Point base layer to add to the note card, Smokey slate layer embossed in the Timeworn Type 3D folder, stamped Soft Sea Foam Tags, Pacific Point Hello tags, fussy cut Stamped in Pacific Point sewing Forms, Crafters Gonna Craft stamped on Heart & Home DSP, strips of the Layering Designs vellum. I like to do the Gold Shimmering Ribbon and the white bakers twine as I put them together.

If you have lots of cards of one design to do at the same time get all your elements ready and then put them together once you have stamped and cut everything, it is so much easier that way. I am not sure you will have 38 of the one design but maybe 10.

These were fun little note cards to put together and to finish them off I added some classic matte dots.

Now is the time to head to Tina Gillespie just click on the next blog button and you will go straight there. I love seeing what Tina creates and last week she made a lovely stitched rectangle symmetry card which was just gorgeous I can't wait to see how she will use Pacific Point this week.

Oh my gosh, you make me laugh. That is something I would do (not removing the mask before stamping)!!! I'm even distracted by the tennis while commenting now. Anyway, your design is wonderful and I am amazed at the number of cards you have created for your church ladies, you are an inspiration my friend.

Oh wow Sharon. What an amazing task - both creating that many cards for all the crafty ladies (a lovely thought) and taking on the coordination role. You are absolutely amazing and you will be amazing. Great note cards that will be so appreciated by their recipients. Xxx

Wow you are a stamping machine. I laughed at the tennis distraction comment! It's taking me forever to comment on all the blogs tonight for the same reason. Your cards are gorgeous! You will be perfect to lead the craft group and I bet the ladies really appreciated their cards.

Now that's a mightily productive crafting session! Great cards, Sharon. The Pacific Point stamped image stands out beautifully against the other, softer, colours.

What a lovely way to introduce yourself to your ladies and gee how productive you have been! Your use of Pacific Point is just right. Thanks for the tip on creating a smaller panel for the greeting.
